If you enter the end on the night before 31st of October and use pistons to break any of the pieces of bedrock on the pillars on the EXACT moment the day turns over you'll obtain a guardian spawn egg and spawner In case you couldn't tell, this is ironic.

My dad works for Mojang, and I can say that you need to get up to build limit with netherite blocks for snow to appear : it will be winter once you'll have finally made it.

Damn, this is definitely the Mandela effect hitting hard. I guess most people (like myself) forgot that snow at higher y-levels are only possible in certain "colder" biomes. But yea, it's actually hilarious to see so many people being 100% confident about something that is totally wrong. Great video! And great choice of music!

In bedrock edition it works in all biomes that have rain. that's where the confusion comes from.

Haha I tried testing this as well after I watched the video. A Y level of 600 is needed for snow in superflat. In normal worlds however, different biomes have snow begin at a variety of y levels (probably depending on the temperature of the biome). The taiga biome for example has snow start falling at Y levels as low as 153. The lowest place you can obtain snow without being in an official cold biome is in windswept biomes or a stony shore biome. Here, snow can start falling at y = 113. Crazy stuff...

I like the old growth taiga variant for a superflat world, its a slightly higher temp than normal taiga making snow start around Y=210

Hilarious, love the editing. Now do one for every other thing the comments got wrong about superflat mechanics

The most infuriating part about this is not the people but Mojang in my opinion. We could have just had snow in the last few blocks, like it was before, no stretching the rain height up. We got more height, we reached the snow. It would have been so nice and simple.

I think I figured out your problem, when you made your world, you selected "survival" instead of "creative" and that's why you can't get snow, hope this helps 😄 I am joking, but then I realized you've probably received actual comments like that because it's the internet

First off, you're right. Snow is depending on biome. But even if it was snowing, it wouldn't be able to spawn on your platform since no block can be placed above build hight. But even if the platform was a bit lower, snow still wouldn't appear for the afforementioned reasons in the video.

For those who don't know, snow is biome dependent, and since superflat is all plains you won't get snow.

see, most the comments had the right idea, this mechanic is right, but only in mountain biomes, the normal super flat biome does not have this mechanic, some old skyblock series were created using mountain biomes for this exact mechanic so snow was available. point is this mechanic is right but only in mountain biomes, Love Your Vids ❤️

all cold biomes have varying heights for snow, yes. and for none snow biomes its always 320, which is above the build limit

@@synka5922 its actually Y level 153 in any taiga biome, Y 113 in any wind swept biome (or stoney shores). I dont think these count as cold? The level then varies in some colder types of oceans, but yes other than that its Y 320. Y 600 in superflat

I think the reason people are saying this is because, if you go really high up in a taiga it will start to snow. No idea how people thought it worked everywhere else.

This was a feature in the earlier days of Minecraft, don’t know why it was removed because it kinda made since as the atmosphere of the world would be much colder the higher you go

It was changed in 1.18 because terrain generated so much higher than before, the hight at which it snows depends on the biome but plains is just above 319, meaning it's impossible to get snow post 1.18

I know that water turning into ice is actually a thing on bedrock, but with that being said, it might only happen on non-super flat worlds. The snow I'm unsure for any scenario however. I remember building a massive sugarcane farm and had to waterlog slabs to prevent the water from freezing before. Again, might just not happen on super flat unfortunately, even if it doesn't make sense.

I guess if it can snow then they can also get powdered snow in cauldrons, and if it can snow then it should be cold enough to freeze water, now with silk touch you have ice

You can find a free world download of my world in the last world tour video from last August. I do up-to-date world downloads for Patreon/Channel members, but there will be another free one the next time I do a world tour!

This only works in mountain biomes.

i swear this actually worked at one point cause years ago i swear i did this on a server since i remember making a jump platform at almost build height it was basically a crappy version of a dropper map and i remember it always having snow on it

You can only get snow at those y levels in certain biomes which are not present in this preset of Superflat. There is only the one biome iirc and it's plains.

You can place certain non-full blocks above the normal build limit, such as water, rails, torches etc. Snow can still spawn, but still not in superflat lol.

Maybe listening to Christmas carols during a heatwave might help?

I did some research and found that the height where snow particles fall in plains biome is 320 beeing one block away from the height limit (why mojang?) Info from mc wiki snowfall

They must have set it only in "colder" biomes cause in forests it's possible, however plains are considered one of the "warm" biomes so it makes sense...

even if snow did form at y=320 you built the platforms at build height so nothing can form on top of them...

Rain does turn to snow it just does it above the height limit which is why people are saying it.
