Wow praise God. Walk with Jesus and he will never let you down, I been a Christian for 3 years now and God is so good. He gave me a new heart and replaced the heart of stone with a heart of flesh, ( it’s a miracle) and saved my marriage, my life was such a mess before. I’m scared to think where I would be today if Jesus didn’t save me. All Glory belongs to him. If God can save a wretch like me than he can save anyone who comes to him. God bless you.

I pray you find comfort in the Lord and His word. I’ve seen it can be very hard leaving that church and it is like losing your family and it is very hard. But you have a new family in Christ!! @@jeffouellette9946 I believe those who refer to "once saved, always saved" are referring to these two Bible verses indicating that once we believe in Jesus as the Sacrifice for our sins, we are then sealed by the Holy Spirit, as God says in HIS WORD. Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. I have always thought and believed that if we are truly saved, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit so that God NEVER lets us go. HOWEVER, I also believe that WE can let go of GOD. Nevertheless, if we are truly saved, I can't imagine ever WANTING to let go of GOD and it may be that we were never really saved in the first place. That is just my understanding.

I agree that many push the “sinners prayer” as a just do this and you will be saved, but the same could be said about baptism.

@@timothyseals3791 it’s mostly an issue with ignorance by many. Most nominal Christians when asked if they are going to heaven would reply “Of course! I’m baptized” just like they would say “Of course! I prayed the prayer with pastor John” My point isn’t that baptism isn’t essential, just that many have more faith in their baptism then they do in the risen Christ.

When you said, “I’m amazed there’s so many Christians that don’t understand why Jesus had to die on the cross.” I related to that so much and actually my lack of understanding is what made me stray from my faith for many years. I just simply didn’t have anyone explain to me the meaning of atonement, and I lacked the knowledge, wisdom, guidance to fully grasp the story of the Bible. Over a year ago I got baptized again, I say again because this time the decision was mine and I was an adult. But now I can say I understand why Jesus died on the cross for us. I came back to Jesus after falling into the New age beliefs and Jesus rescued me from all that mess. Just wanted to say a personal Thank you for your videos, because I’ve fallen in love with apologetics and you do a fantastic job explaining the Christian theology.

I AM SAVED! Thank you, Pastor Mike, I believe in Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. I have accepted Christ into my life, and I have made him my Lord. I did not pray your prayer word for word, but it was extremely close. I finished my prayer at 8:12PM CT on 2/12/22! Praise God, I am SAVED! I pray that the Lord works in my life, fills me with his spirit, and keeps me on a straight path! Thank you, Lord, all glory to God! Praise God! Praise him!

@@timothyseals3791 I think we have to repent from our sins (change of belief - and to turn away from the sin), make sure you obey God's commandments, don't be ashamed of Jesus, mention the Gospel without being worried about embarrassment, laughed at etc. Read your Bible every day, or as often as you can, or listen to your pastor, renounce your connection with the devil, Believe Jesus is real, and was real on earth, and died on the cross for everyone's sins, believe in God, be aware of sin (sensitized to sin), pray everyday - don't go too long without praying. Also, Trust in God, Trust in Jesus, give your life to him for God's will. Amen

@@ebukaigwe8166 I would be happy to. Salvation in Christ starts when one hears about what Jesus did for them on the cross and then believes in Jesus as Lord. Once a person believes in what Jesus has offered by way of salvation, they must realize their sin, repent of their sins, confess Him as Lord, get water baptized for the forgiveness of their sins, and live obediently to His commands. • Faith is the direct result of instruction in God's word (Jn. 6:44,45; Rom. 10:17). • Faith leads to repentance (Acts 2:36-38). • Repentance leads to salvation(2 Cor 7:9-10), • When one has repented of his sins and confessed his faith in Jesus (Acts 8:37, Rom. 10:10), he is then baptized into Christ (Rom. 6:1-6). • This makes one a child of God (Gal. 3:26-27).

Whenever someone does a prayer on a podcast I'm listening to, I tend to pray with them.

I am so thankful I came across this channel this year, better late than never. I'm filled with hope and indeed feel like a new creation through Jesus Christ. Jesus told us not all teachings would come for him but they would be to be judge by there fruits.(Matt 18:15-20) The rosary, for example, has brought millions upon millions to faith in Christ. a very good fruit. On the other hand, the false doctrine of faith alone has brought millions to the understanding that Love and obedience have no part in our salvation despite what scripture says. And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; (Heb 5:9) a Bad fruit of Apathy, Noone Cruxifies Jesus over and over again. That is your twisting of Catholic doctrine, Catholic Partake in Christs one sacrifice be eating of his flesh and drinking of his blood as St Paul taught us. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? (1 Cor 10:16-18) You pull out the old protestant trick of attacking Catholic doctrines by twisting them almost beyond recognition instead of addressing the subject of the video "How to Get Saved" That could only be because you cannot defend the false doctrines of faith alone and once saved always saved. Peace be with you I am sorry he is misrepresenting scripture. what he said in Galatians for example Galatians is about people turning back to the works of the Law eg Circumcision, Animal sacrifice, cleansing rituals and dietary requirements. We see this addressed directly but St Paul For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. (Gal 5:6) And unless you protestants have taken Gal 6 out of the Bible the need for good works Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. (Gal 6:7-10) I am sorry Mr Winger's teaching is false God bless you

@@MrKev1664 actually;not. He is just stating that "works" don't "get" or "keep" you saved. Rather, they are a natural outpouring of your love in salvation. The amount/type of works may determine you REWARDS in heaven; but not getting there. God bless you & continue the good works but count ONLY on the BLOOD SACRIFICE OF JESUS in your place 💕

I choose to believe that Jesus' blood paid for my sins & I am righteous before God ONLY because of THAT. Obviously I repent of my sins & do good works out of love, not duty. (1John 3:7) *you say* Obviously, I repent of my sins & do good works out of love, not duty. *response* It is great that you do Good Works the problem is that very often those who start off with vigour fall into apathy when they realise it is not the duty to Love God. They find themselves not producing the fruit of Obedience and will find themselves taken away and burned. Jesus tell us those who follow his teaching and commitments love him and those that do not follow them do not love him (John 14:21-24) There is no talk of understanding it is your duty to love God taking away from that Love. *you say* They would be nothing more than dirty rags. *response* They would be but those who believing in Jesus Christ have been washed by his blood, this is no more sin they are clean (1 John 1:9) *you say* m sure you will have more rewards than i, for your good works (once you arrive in heaven). *response* I hope so too, for as we have seen one of those rewards is eternal life. *you say* I'm truly happy for you. God continue to bless you❗🙏 *response* Thank you I do worry for your soul and I pray God gives you the resolve to endure in love and obedience to him until the end, for this is his Gospel (Matt 24:12-14) God bless you

My husband and I just watched this together. His story is similar to mine - I was in church regularly all my childhood, until I was 16 and I was asked to leave due to teen pregnancy. My husband and his family were asked to leave due to infidelity in his parents marriage and the divorce it resulted in. (These were different churches.) We met in our early 20s. Since then, we've made a few attempts at going back to church, but to keep this short I mostly relied on what I had already learned because of that fear and feeling of unbelonging when we tried to attend. I've NEVER heard it explained like this. It was like pieces of what I already knew with just a few key things I didn't know that help me fit together and finally understand it completely... Like a light just came on!!! My husband I both were like, "um pause!!" at 20 mins in and just looked at each other for a minute, next thing I know we are in a really long conversation about how could we not know it like that? How amazing it is?? The way that feels, and finding out together!! We were saved already, but we prayed the prayer anyway. It was different, better than the first time with this new understanding. We are back in church now by the way. We are mid 30s and have been going regularly for 2 months, plus everyday of the week I am binging ALL of your videos along with Allen Parr and my own churches sermons online. The things I thought I knew, I didn't know at all. Thank you so much for all the time you put into your videos, God is working through you so much! You are really bringing people to Jesus, even the ones who thought they were already there!

Thank you so much for making this video! I was raised in a Christian family, but there were big gaps in my understanding of the gospel. I left the church for several years, but just recently my husband and I started attending again. God has been working on my heart for the last two years, and I have had several moments of breaking down before Him and just feeling so unworthy and unsure of whether or not He forgives me. Peace be with you I am sorry he is misrepresenting scripture. what he said in Galatians for example Galatians is about people turning back to the works of the Law eg Circumcision, Animal sacrifice, cleansing rituals and dietary requirements. We see this addressed directly but St Paul For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. (Gal 5:6) And unless you protestants have taken Gal 6 out of the Bible the need for good works Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. (Gal 6:7-10) I am sorry Mr Winger's teaching is false God bless you

I was Roman Catholic for 56 years and think you may be one! Good works come from righteousness by salvation through Christ. Good works by themselves are for the person doing them not selflessly.

It is about loving God and the only way you love him is by follow his commandments and teachings. It is also the only way to have a relationship with him and his Father (John 14:21-24) This is how we have a relationship with Christ and it is not alone but in unity with others. (John 17:20-23) Linking Good works to self rightness is silly, it is about fulfilling the commandments of Christ. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. (John 13:34) You do not get a relationship with Christ without good works. MrKev1664 But when Jesus died on the cross all of our sins were future sins. Are you saying he only died for the sins up until the point when we would get saved? If so are you saying that our sins are only forgiven when we confess them? If that is true are you sure that you are going to remember every single sin you have ever sinned and will you make sure that you confess every single one? If not and you die with an I forgiven sin will you still go to Heaven?

This is so helpful to think of this way. I struggle with the concept of salvation being a process. That seems to go against the concept of repenting and believing and heads towards works you have to do to "stay saved." I like to think of it more as spiritual maturity. But I want to stick to what scripture says.

I see this was years ago but will be relevant throughout time- I’m An older adult, was saved as a young girl and just want to say THANK YOU JESUS for dying for my sins- I’m so grateful and I just prayed to come back fully to have you Lord of my life!

Peace be with you I am sorry he is misrepresenting scripture. what he said in Galatians for example Galatians is about people turning back to the works of the Law eg Circumcision, Animal sacrifice, cleansing rituals and dietary requirements. We see this addressed directly but St Paul For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. (Gal 5:6) And unless you protestants have taken Gal 6 out of the Bible the need for good works Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. (Gal 6:7-10) I am sorry Mr Winger's teaching is false God bless you

@@MrKev1664 if you are saved good works will come however your good works will not get you into heaven. Jesus said don't worry what the other guy is doing but to follow him. Grumbling worker and his wages is a good parable also the parts of the body they all kind of fit in together if you are saved there will be good works the holy spirit will make sure that sometimes we're not aware of what our good works are lest we have something to boast about which is prideful because all glory goes to God run your race run it well cast your crowns in his feet if you are saved there will be works

@@krustysurfer Christ be with you You appear to be rewriting scripture. Good works come because we are changed but Christ tells us we must endure in them to the end. (Matt 24:12-14) Why did you ignore what St Paul said when he tells us we should make sure we sow good works so we may reap eternal life. (Gal 6:1-10) You will notice St Paul tells us we can boast in this. Who has the arrogance to assume the are saved. St Paul didn’t until his race was run. (Phil 3:9-14) Jesus did not tell us not to worry about the other guy, he told us to ensure the know to obey everything he taught. (Matt 28:18-20) The grumbling servant is the are not grumbling about having to do the works of the master but how long each has been doing it. If we are faithful servants it does not matter when we change as long as we do and remain in him we will receive eternal life. For whoever lacks these things is blind and shortsighted and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be the more zealous to confirm your call and election, *for if you do this you will never fall8 so there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 1:9-11) God bless you

@@MrKev1664 I'm saying that good works come out of one's faith. NOT ones faith coming from their good works. If you are saved there will be good works. If the holy spirit indwells in you there will be good works. Works based faith is a leftover of Yahudaism that the disciples even struggled with because that was the religiosity that they came out of entering into the rest entering into the Sabbath of believing in Yahoshua Hamashiac Jesus the Messiah as Lord and savior. I choose a yoke of freedom under the lord of the Sabbath where the Sabbath was created for men and not men created for the Sabbath...... If one is truly saved works will come through the miracle of God the Father God the Son and the Holy Spirit indwelling in one's heart. God bless you

I'm watching this video in 2022. And I've realised my sin so much and my incapability to live a holy life on my own. I've been idolatrous, lustful, addicted to pornography.....But now I realised I've been missing the glory of God through my sin as you've said in Romans 3:23. I've never looked at it like that. Anyway, thankyou for this video and I'm ready to live out my new life through Christ. God bless you
