anyone who's looking to play at the D3 level the college could still give you a hefty academic scholarship even if your grades aren't great.

If a coach really wants you to be a part of the team, he'll talk to who ever gives out scholarships and request that you'd get one. My sister plays basketball at the D3 level and got a huge academic scholarship (due to good grades and the coach wanting her to play). And the team I'm a part of gives many scholarships to the team

@@upstate1bmx definitely money out there for D3 players and programs. They're called GRANTS and academic scholarships. These are the tools the D3 coaches use. I was on a 3/4 grant during my collegiate career
Good overview. Something I learned the hard way in my recruiting days: On the subject of "events", this can often times overlap with "teams". The best opportunities to get in front of coaches and to premier events (for most players out there) is to seek out getting on the most competitive teams you can. Being around other talented players forces you to up your game and grow, and being on successful teams gets you into and further through top tournaments where coaches are watching.
Thank you Paul for this video really helps all of the young kids out there
Thank you Coach Rabil and crew!

Thank You! Great stuff to digest as AU have a 5th grader who loves this sport and who’s dream is to play at the next level.
Thank you, I started playing my junior year and now I really love the sport and wanted to progress but it looks so slim to be a successful professional player especially as a senior in high school I’m doing what I can to get better and I’m just gonna enjoy the sport and maybe a offer will be earned ✊🏿

Loved the office reference
Probably my favorite video you made so far! Very informative and I believe a lot of guys could benefit from it. Would have loved to see you guys talk about NAIA as well being that they have lacrosse and I believe you can get a scholarship going that route as well. Overall loved it though!
Great vid Paul, now I just gotta make a highlight reel next season!
You are my favorite KZreadr of all time
I love how u love this game so much. Ps your my role model
Thank you Paul
Thanks Paul. I’m trying to get recruited to go to college and just sent some emails to coaches. I love your videos. Keep up the good work. Good deal.

Thanks for the vid I needed this for a school project
Very informative! Thanks!
Four years later and list still holds mostly true......especially the comment about school. First question i hear from EVERY college coach to my son, "How are your grades?" Don't underestimate the importance for lacrosse/athletics and life!!!!
Great video, and a much needed topic of conversation, but don't forget about the NAIA, there are over 40 schools in both men's and women's each, all offer athletic scholarships. Lacrosse in the NAIA is growing quickly, particularly in non-traditional areas.

National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. It is another association of college sports. Schools are generally in the Mid-West, and smaller schools, most between 1500-5000 students.
I needed this information two years ago. But thanks. 😹😹
Thank you for the info you should come to republic Mo sometime and do a clinic.
Thank you guys. 🤓
this was very helpful thank you.
Thank you to Paul and the crew!! This video was very helpful in answering questions I had about playing in college! But I do have a question that wasn't answered: What about lacrosse players who weren't good enough to be recruited directly out of highschool? Do we have any realistic chance of playing college lacrosse? I'm curious because I'm currently taking a gap year or two to improve my skills and earn enough money to pay for college. Obviously you guys don't know me, but I just thought I'd put this out there and see if I could get some answers. Thanks again guys!! As always, these videos are a GOOD DEAL!!

There’s also plenty of great opportunities to play NAIA lacrosse. D1 and D2 NAIA schools offer athletic scholarships. And then there’s NCLL which is another club lacrosse league similar to MCLA but usually less organized but, there is some good talent and awesome opportunities in NCLL.

Hi Paul I’m a sub I was at Rabil tour Seatl and I am going this year love the vlog
I committed the first time I picked up a stick in 7th grade same year when you started Paul and now I’m 9th grade and I’m doing great and I’m dreaming that I can get at least a small scholarship to some of my favorite D1 schools.
hey Paul loved the video very informative, i was wondering if it would be any different if i was from Canada and if i was taking collage level coerces instead of university level coerces how many schools that would limit me to. keep up the great vlogs very inspiring
Thank you
What’s the best way to build up your endurance besides running/jogging? Great video I learned a lot!
You didn't figure into your math that a number of the best/most desirable Division 1 lax schools don't offer athletic scholarships at all -- defending national champs Yale and the rest of the Ivies, for example. You can get a boost towards admission, but no scholarship. The service academies are free (actually they pay you) so no need for scholarships, but you're also signing up for a way of life for roughly the next decade.
thank you
Thanks boys
Some MCLA teams such as Chapman will also provide scholarships to players.
This video was a good deal!!!
Just wanna day MCLA lacrosse is a viable alternative to NCAA. My team got a goalie transfer from UMBC, and a lot of incoming and current players had offers to play at various NCAA schools, several even to division 1 schools like furman, Fairfield, and Mercer. But picked to go here because you can go to a university you enjoy more then another for NCAA ball and play competitive lacrosse. Great experience!

Thanks for the office joke
Thank you to every one at Rabil Company for the video. MICK!!!!! THAT WAS SOME CRAZY QUICK MATH!!!! AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!
Hey don’t forget us in the NAIA, over 250 colleges and universities make up the nationwide organization. Here at Montreat we are in one of the 22 conferences nationwide. We recruit all around the south and are always looking for guys, as you saw in the ESPN Crossroads film we have a great diversity in our team by signing guys from Charlotte Seconday and other areas. NAIA is so hidden but has some diamond in the rough, last season our Sophomore attack-man was top scorer all conference, and Brandon who was feature in Crossroads was 2nd team all conference. We play MCLA and NCAA D2-D3 schools in our out of conference games. Check us out!!!!!!
Go Maryland!!! 😂😂😂😂
Was looking for NAIA numbers as well...

Keep your grades up and go D3 on an academic scholarship! :D
"you're getting your information from wikipedia?" lmfao
Thanks for the info Paul. Could you please let me know the process for foreign students? We live in Australia. My son is 12 years old and has dreams of playing lacrosse in a US college team so he is a few years off yet. Here in Australia, there is no university sports scholarships. If you want to get good at any sport here, you need to play for a community club. My son currently plays for a local team here in Victoria and is getting very good. His academic abilities are excellent. How should we prepare and approach this for the future? Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Ngl after watching this video back they look like that life invader mission where all the workers act crazy
If a college coach has reached out and you have talked via phone and email how often should you continue to have those conversations and reach out?
Paul!!!
Do you recommend going to the prospect days at colleges that you would want to attend?
If you show this in a video, my whole lacrosse team won't believe me.
How can you tell if college coaches actually want to see you play at their prospect day, or if they just want your money?
paul we need the flow back
On average how many walk ons are accepted at the division 1, 2, and 3 levels
@azuremartin4940
4 жыл бұрын
all divisions give a equal opportunity to walk ons because of how many great players started off as walk ons (sergio salcido is a big example here) but there is alot of pressure if you come as a walk on so be prepared to work harder than the rest.
Good deal ✋

I’m looking to play college lacrosse. I play on club lacrosse teams ever since I was 9
When should I start sending emails to colleges? I am heading into my sophomore year and I am unsure if it is too early to start emailing colleges.
What's the best kind of tape? I like green automotive masking tape from 3M.

Ok,so I live in a area where there no high school lacrosse nor very few clubs or rec leagues. So what could I possibly do to get recruited?
I don’t need to go d1 just a random university will be fine
What if we're in states like Arkansas with still developing programs? Tips?
How do you figure out what colleges you want to attend?
#askpaul what inspired you to start lax (asked by my 9yr old son who is a recent mega fan )
Hey Paul, I wanted to clarify one thing. Are you allowed to email coaches before September 1st or is the rule saying that you can’t make any contact with college coaches

You can email them, they just can not respond.
There also the naia
What if you are a person who lives in a state very far away from where you want to try and go to college. I live in Idaho and want to go to Hopkins but I don’t know how I will get coaches from Hopkins to notice me, I would think all they will look at is kids from Maryland and states closer.

play for a really good club team that travels to big tournaments and goes to the east coast for some tourneys. Simple as that.
only good info from 12 min point on, plus D3 can use academic scholarship for you if coach wants you.
D1 baseball only gets 11.7 scholarships
What gpa is every division looking for ? & how do scholarships for 5 year players work ?
I feel like most of the scholarships if not all are to kids in the east coast
Where is the women’s aspect? We need that video!
How long should a recruiting video be?
Its a Good deal
Hey Paul I am a first year lacrosse player(started freshman year going into sophomore) and I’ve been putting in tons of work because ever since I picked a stick up I wanted to play d1 I’ve gotten good enough over the year and summer to move up to my varsity team and I am continuing to keep practicing. I do have one question for people like me that may not develop their skills all the way until maybe our senior year (which I’m hoping I will be good enough by at least my junior year to play d1) do we have a chance?
@aidantheconewolford

If you have a solid junior year and a great senior year you’ll most likely get looks from colleges
