Hello! I did this in a tournament match with multiple overtimes against Ronsos. After reset data, I recruited Jumal, Zalitz, Ropp, Wedge and Zev Ronso. I passed around until Jumal is level 3 without doing anything in the match, Zalitz and Wedge are level 7 and Tidus, Ropp and Zev Ronso are all level 10 or above. Only after 1 match! One neat trick is to pass near the opposition forwards who really can't tackle at all. If you can isolate the opposition forward inside a passing triangle of Zev Ronso, Tidus/Wedge and Ropp/Zalitz you can control the passing situations without Zalitz ever even getting into a encounter with opposition forward. Because overtime ends only when one of the teams scores, you can do this as longs as you want 🙈

You can definitely abuse the opposing teams this way and at lower levels after a few overtimes the opposing teams can't deal with you at all. I actually recommend for people having issues beating the Luca Goers in the storyline tournament to pass amongst defenders over and over until overtime and then just try to score at your own leisure.

@@BlitzballMania I agree with this. The more you are having problems with the first game, the more you should pass around. Also, one nice little technique is that you pass to a teammate that the enemy is not facing and then you "trap" the ball to the opposite direction from the enemy. With this you can avoid unnecessary encounters, especially for defenders with bad EN.

Tip for anyone, take a fast player and swim to your goalkeeper right to him. If done fast enough the reat of the cpu wont attack u they remain passive. Then go to a player you want to string pass to, get real close and boom ur saving time and gaining xp quicker.

This is also effective I tend to use nap passes to knock out players that cause trouble and then start the passing preferably with a level 3 technique so more experience is gained

@@BlitzballMania yeah, I also found that overtime levelling is a really good starting technique. For example, you know all about that annoying little Al Bhed Nimrook and his starting 18 catch stat lol. Currently bringing Wedge and Tidus up so I can beat them right now.

Works with Your Goalie also, if u want to level. Just switch him/her to the defence and just constanly Pass to him/her. Only prob is the catcher prob doesn't have Nap/poison/wither pass(Keepa). So he gain exp slower than the other person.

Mania, I'm trying to get the sphere shot for Larbeight and which way would be the fast and easy way? Can you learn techs from the training section or just in regular game? Also is that goalie player that you have in this video better then Nimrook?

The beat way is likely exhibition matches against a team that knows sphere shot. I would play the match and check techniques and if the team doesn't use sphere shot reload the save. In order to tech copy sphere shot you will want to try the tech copy maybe 1 second before they kick the ball at the peak of the flip You can learn techniques in exhibition matches but you won't get experience The goalie in this video is just for flavor Nimrook is the beat goalie in the game

You are a busy guy with these Blitzball videos in your team matches and I had you Sub for a good minute because I found someone who likes playing Blitzball too so hell yeah man. :) Oh ok so in Exhibition match I see so I said it wrong and yeah I got the sphere shot a few times before and yes you do have to wait for the right moment. I'll have to test Exhibition match out and get it for him and I love that kick because I think it's the best and also it doesn't have a long scene while using it. I do appreciate the tips and writing back and also how long or how many games will it take me to get my players to level 99 and right now they are close to level 20 to 30?

@@FrostyMikeGaming Absolutely it just takes time to get the tech copy right and get the technique. Getting level 99 takes around 300 games if you're taking your time and 200-250 if you are grinding hard

I never had any problems in getting the techs down and some I do mess up if they are fast and say you had to press X button as soon as you see it pop up, those get to me but as for the sphere shot, I have gotten it plenty times in all my playthrough since the remastered came out. I never bother with thes techs on the PS2 days and I was still learning back then so really I was a noob to Blitzball compare to now. :) Ok usually I do around 30 to 40 games when i'm going for Wakka sigil and 300 is alot but I love it so maybe everyday I can do 20 at least so that way I don't get burn out on it. Are you doing a FFX-2 playthrough right now or just the Blitzball over there?

@BlitzballMania - Which of these Techs between Venom Pass 3, Nap Pass 3, Whiter Pass 3, Venom Shot 3, Nap Shot 3, Whiter Shot 3, Jecht Shot, Jecht 2 that give the most EXP in Blitzball?

I would say in terms of getting Experience I believe Nap Pass 3 gives more experience by a small amount. I haven't actually tested it out but it seems like the more hp you use the more experience you get and Nap Pass 3 uses a lot of HP while letting you remain in control of the ball which is important

Hi, I have a question that has been irritating me and not found it on google ( only searched for 30 minutes though...but usually it either does not exist or it takes another search engine if I dont find it by then): Why on the FFX remastered ediion do enemy blitzball teams cheat on their level up? At the start (lvl 5-20) I make sure I get a lot of xp per player and the enemy team gets about 4-10 xp total, mostly their goalie. I notice I am lvl 15-20 with all my players and they are about lvl 6. Then suddenly the next league they are all lvl 15-20! The same team I have just fought 2 blitball matched ago and was lvl 6 on average! Since all the stuff I read said " it is very easy to out lvl them" I was wondering if there is this AI cheat built into the remastered version (EU version)? Because it really is very easy to out-xp them by just scoring 6 goals then let your defense throw special passes to eachother but it seems to have no use if the AI just cheats back those levels... Also: If I dont level at all, the AI still outlevels me at just a slightly lower rate but still outleveling. So just not getting a lot of xp to make the blitzballing cheaper because cheap plaers can win, is not the solution either. Are there triggers like every 30 battles the ai gains 15 levels as an extra bonus regardless of what happens in the Blitzball games?

With about 80 xp per battle for my team and 10...15 tops for the enemy, my average level is about the same as all the enemy teams. My average team level is 31.

So that balancing is actually built into both versions of the game the remastered and the original. When I was a kid I thought I was super clever and played the same tournament over and over tying the game to go into overtime so that I could make my team a much higher level than all of the other teams but over a few games all of the opposing players will automatically jump several levels to match you. The normal time you see this is if someone signs a free agent that's level 1 after a few games they'll jump like 30 levels or so depending on the levels of everyone else. One way i'm hoping to cheat on this is to sign a bunch of level 1 people that I don't use and then extremely over level two people just to see if I can make them like level 90 and all opposing teams like level 30

My theory is that they all level up while you play the storyline, but it only starts after you have played a few matches. Meaning that once you start you are not allowed to stop playing, else you play at a level disadvantage? Ronso's still easy to beat with datto of course, but Kilika Beast and Al Bhed psyches can get really though with some overpowered players, and the Luca goers defense of 25 ish each at this level combined with their brawler is no problem for jecht shot. Guados never really got good. And yes I just play with the starting team except ditch botta, he completely sucks at pass and endurance to he can steal the ball but then lose it immediatly afterwards.

@@BlitzballMania Thx for the answer. So leveling the entire team does not work...Good. Since the keeper and defense are mostly useless ill focus on the offense and midfield. Thats where most balls are intercepted and where you make the goals. The defense AI on my team sucks anyways, moving away from the enemy offense just to go to a basic position where nobody is... Thanks, this helps me define strategy because it really is the average team level I feel, that defines enemy team level. So yes you could cheat by having a lvl 99 midfielder and 2 offense lvl 99, with all defense crappy and it should average on enemy team at about 50 with this theory. And I dont want to spend 3K gil per battle with all expensive players just to get a luck sphere without fortune spheres so ill stick with datto, tidus and letty, they are doing fine.

@@henkvisser9741 Yeah that'll be the best way to go about it and if you sign cheap excessive players and never use them it should further lower the average level of the opposing team

I once got 108 exp in one half of the game

If you're not getting any experience you may be playing an exhibition match which doesn't give experience
