"a scarcity mindset around knowledge" bruh... i _work_ at a library and this is the mood of my life. i'm quite a minimalist and am not really into hoarding anything but LIBRARY BOOKS THO. thanks for the phrase "go slow, don't stop" - i find chanting things like this really helpful for keeping focus and am gonna try this one out for getting my space back in order after a similar slump!

I'm familiar with the "Current Me" and "Future Me" exercise for envisioning my future self, but I've never thought to create a "Future Self" and "Present Self" to-do list. Seems like a nice way to remind yourself of why some of the tasks you're doing are important when they don't provide instant gratification. Great video! Loved the vlog style.

I really like the idea of having specific times do things for your future self vs present self. I think I get overly caught up in the future self sometimes, and then my present self digs her feet in and decides to play on her phone all day because she's not getting the attention she wants and deserves. Excited to try this way of categorizing tasks

I was off super sick for a while as well, and was feeling like I was in a massive slump - frustrated I couldn't get myself going on work and things like that. I did a massive tidy up / rearranging situation last night which had been on my To Do for almost 6 months, and I feel so much better since. I'm still not 100% but un-crusty-ing my space and making healthy meals for myself made such a difference that I was even able to get a little work done today. It makes such a difference when you don't have those little points of friction (things falling out of cupboards every time you open them; shelves looking messy; not having your favourite clothes clean; rubbish bins being full etc) gnawing at you all day. They might be little individually but they definitely add up to occupying a lot of headspace. I'm definitely doing to use that "Start slow, don't stop" line on myself in future - it really works.

This is perfect timing. It’s almost 10 am and I’m still in bed because I can’t find the strength to do anything today. I suffered from depression for many years and while I’m a lot better now, I still have bad days sometimes. You just reminded me how important it is to at least start slow, and it can lead to a very productive day. And even if it doesn’t, the one tiny thing I manage to do is a lot better than doing nothing, and it can be great for my mood too. I’m going to do what I can today, even if that’s not enough in other’s eyes. You also reminded me to think of my future self, which I always struggle with and end up procrastinating. I’m going to make the same lists you did for the next 2 or 3 days, some things for future self, and some for present self. Thank you for sharing this and showing that you also have bad days and that you find a way to get out of it without forcing yourself to be highly productive as expected (that is unrealistic but society demands it 🙄). Your videos are really inspiring and I always learn new things and you make me excited to try them out 🥰

This was so needed today. I had been in a slump for several weeks trying to come out of it. I have been down in the past but it only took a day or two. This time I was overwhelmed with life. I took the time to get to know who I was now and realized that I was not truly in control of my decisions. This is something detrimental because I am a self control freak! So, as you started out so did I. Just cleaning a little bit at a time. I will use your "decrusting". That made me laugh and feel good. Thank you!

I think a lot of content providers shy away from doing this, only showing themselves at their best. I get it, but it can actually be a disservice. In truth, I have Depression, so it's one of my bad days and my motivation is nonexistent. Just watching your video has helped me feel a but more motivated.
