I got out about 6 months ago. Fortunately starting my business has worked out great. But if I never took the chance I would still be miserable. You got to reach a breaking point, have a plan and take the leap. Life is short, take the chance

I was like that too, after a while though when I was about to get married I was hit with the fact that my comfort zone isn’t big enough to be comfortable for my future family too. So for that I’m here just to say even though there’s no need for you to listen to me, that you need to albeit slowly to at least seek something that shall go for something more than what your own self, desire. Cause for me personally I never got to feel the need to get out of my comfort zone. my aspirations, and desires, are almost nonexistent. I almost have no greed, or a desire to see myself possess something, though a desire sparked in my soul the moment I get to see someone enjoy something I helped them get, or something I gave. And that is something that makes me strive to get out of my comfort zone.

I don’t think this an A or B scenario. I think it’s a situation where you implement both strategies. A) take action and when you’re not at the day job focus every minute building a side hustle and B) be patient until your side hustle generates more revenue than the day job then quit. You can’t pursue your dreams without income and you can’t just sit there and be miserable for the rest of your days.

That is just a dumb and misleading statement. First, college is for some, not all. For some, the 3 years at Uni to get your undergrad degree are the best times of your life, where many grow up and meet people they may never have met. They may also do courses that are necessary to their passion, medicine, engineering, law, even on to research. Too many assume university leads to a job, it was never intended to. Next, some people enjoy a 9-5 structure and have even become millionaires doing so. If everyone was hustling I doubt the electricity grid you rely on or the building construction would happen. What people are wishing is that they become rich overnight by selling crap on an Amazon drop shipment system. Some will, but they get richer by boasting about it on social media and selling a course. The point is that it is wrong to demean those who enjoy university, who want to work the 9-5 job... because society needs a mix. Finding a “passion” is fine but most people become miserable thinking they need to find one. Most people will do something mundane and yet their life will still be full of love from family and friends. Is that so wrong?

Patience worked for me. Hated all my jobs but saved as much as possible. Since the 08 housing crisis I bought 5 houses and rented them all out while living in a shitty apartment. The market is on fire right now. So at 41 years old I’m selling them all and I’ll actually going to be rich. Since I don’t know what else to invest in, I’ll probably wait for the market to die down and buy a small little house somewhere and live the rest of my life mortgage free. Gives me the freedom to go out and find a job I may actually like. So there you have it. Being patient isn’t all that bad if you don’t know what actions to take.

I’m a glorified factory worker making microchips 12hrs/day. Most new hires quit within 3 weeks and I’ve been there over a year. I secretly envy the quitters. I want out so bad, but apparently not bad enough because I keep starting something and fizzling out. Exhausted.

Ive let my mistakes and missed opportunities control my life down to the point of becoming a drug addict to going to prison in 2017. I went, i concurred, and left earlier then anyone i know or knew because of good behavior and merits. 10 months total. I got my self clean and was doing awsome. Then i met a woman that i let fuck me up or maybe punishing myself but I just got out of that relationship and just turned 32 and was thinking this is it im done i give up i don't want to do this anymore and I've seen one or two of your shorts a long time ago and skimming, one of your shorts popped up again telling me if i wanted change that I needed to step up and put the work in then I binged your content i still do any spare time that i have i watch something of yours to keep the momentum moving forward just i need to tell you, you got me out of a rut and I want to whole heartedly thank you i just got to see my son for the first time in 8 years!

There's always nuance and grey area in any situation so it's not that simple. Free workshops, and community college classes for whatever you're trying to do is the best way to start shifting away from the dead-end job. Progress not perfection..

Your comfort zone expands as you do. One thing. Maybe it is writing down what you DO want first to get excited about it. Then step by step one small thing every day..Start redrafting CV or business plan. In a week you’ll have made GREAT progress. Starting is the hardest part. You got this! 🙌

You can take a pause and think about things and plan your exit. You don’t have to jump right to action. You can start with the decision. It’s helpful to know how you work best. I work best by planning. I just made the decision and now I have to plan The leave. I’m going to choose the date and I’m going to choose whether or not I’m going to inform them. How I’m going to inform them, who I’m going to inform if I do inform. It’s a lot to think about. I am taking this weekend to chill and think it all through. Thinking through the process is smart. Highly recommend it.

I just really wish I could follow through and keep myself motivated. A few months ago I started making a print on demand website and it was going really well until it came to making designs and I got extremely intimidated. Now I have a website that's pretty much ready to go but I can't bring myself to even open my laptop and look at it because I get too overwhelmed. I got stuck right after I came out to my family and told them about my plans too...

No its called having social anxiety but intern having the thoughts of if I dont try to get a job everyone will hate me all the same, plus the thought of not having the proper knowledge of what I'm doing, or how much time will this take out of my day, and critically thinking and over think everything that could happen, think I think will happen. Time is my key and also my ropes

Yesterday I just quit my 7 year old job that I didn’t enjoy anymore for the last 1.5 years. But I was patient to build my security net saving before doing it. Now I feel relieved and confident because I’ve proven whenever I put different service offers out there, I get people asking to pay me for that, and I already have 2 clients that represent about 60% of my previous salary. I’d say it’s risky to just quit without a plan, but don’t stay in your 9-5 comfort zone if you don’t enjoy it anymore and you’ve had a glimpse of what you could do and earn if you go solopreneur.

I did just that i stopped making other people rich. I started to do jobs for myself and found that i can make me money! The best advice is to find your way to get out of your comfort zone. It is scary to do this but do 2 things and this should help you make it! First dont have a backup plan! Doing this takes time and dedication away from your goals! 2 find something that you really like! Doing this you will never work a day in your life! Also hear is a freebie Dont let others discourage you negativity from people that dont want you to succeed it is because they dont want you to to succeed not because of you it is because of them and their insecurities!

I work as merchandising in stocking stores, the company I work for has helped me so much on raises and bonuses. I do 50 to 58 a week , and I I’ve been working there for 8 years. And my 41k has always been on 12%. What I’m trying to say is I’ve can’t or I’m scared to do action with my money. I’ve been passions for to long. But I’m scared that my action will bring me back to being broke.

Very simple solution. Get into a trade. Whether it's carpentry, plumbing, flooring, roofing, whatever it is. Get into it and work for whatever they pay you. 2 years later open your own business in that trade. You'll make 6 figures almost certainly.

I'm an LVN stuck at a hospital floor that I hate (because they cover my fertility treatments). So I have to have patience in this area. But I don't know what to do next. Go back to school to become an RN and potentially still hate what I do since I'm unhappy now (because I don't know if more freedom as an RN will really make me happier) or become a real estate agent/home investor and do something completely different? Both will take time/money and investing in my life. My worry is I will waste time in nursing or real estate and think I should of tried the other one. Nursing has good benefits, I'll always have a job anywhere, I hate feeling undervalued/underpaid. With real estate it has job uncertainty, I can be more my own boss, not always have to work for crappy people. OR maybe do something else. I'm just feeling very lost and could use the advice. Thank you in advance! 🖤
