*IMPORTANT UPDATE TO THIS VIDEO!* Hey there, gamers! Thank you for sharing your insight here in the comments! I've learned some *very* important things that I'd like to add here! First, you'll actually get even more mist from the realms when your hourglass is level 2 or 3. At level 2 you'll get 500 mist on the realms. At level 3 you'll get 500 mist and occasionally you'll get glimmer instead of mist or in addition to mist. Second, using your royal hourglass is undoubtedly the *fastest* way to get mist. The reason the video focuses on both duties *and* time bending is because of the communities differing playstyles. You have 2 strong options to generate mist. Number one would be to go crazy with time bending. Use your hourglass in the valley, on the isle, and in the realms with a strong companion. The second would be focusing on tasks and duties. While the second option will get you *less* mist, it will allow you generate mist while you gather new resources, collect new critters, rank up in scramblecoin, harvest new crops, and unlock new areas. Third, you don't have to give monkeys banana splits or banana ice cream to get credited for their favorite food. I'm aware that an NPC mentions the monkeys loving banana ice cream... but I only feed my monkeys, "Pastry Cream and Fruit," a 5-star dessert with no bananas. It *always* counts as a favorite. Personally, pastry cream and fruit is one of my all time favorite meals to make and use. I always have it on me, and that's what I always give the monkeys. So no, you luckily do NOT have to go out of your way to make a bunch of banana splits or banana ice creams. 😂 CLARIFICATION ON MONKEYS: After further testing, it's been established that the monkey's "favorite" food includes any 4* to 5* dessert. These can be desserts with or without fruit ingredients. 😁 Thanks for all the feedback, and thanks for watching! i've fed monkeys large seafood platters (5 star) and have 0 progress on feed monkeys fav food (have fed them 12 times). I think there is a little more to it than any meal between 3 and 5 stars :) dish containing fruit maybe?

@@groovyloopylou Large seafood platters do count. The issue you're running into is that favorite food only gets marked off if it's the *first* time you've fed them that day. I only feed mine pastry cream and fruit but I've confirmed even large seafood platters do indeed count from close friends of mine. A vast majority of players are agreeing that any meal between 3 and 5 stars does indeed count with or without fruit. Admittedly, I haven't tested this myself. Give them the large seafood platter as soon as you see them tomorrow. I'll test it myself tomorrow and record it. I just use pastry because I always have it on me. I'd be happy to make a full video showing exactly what counts as favorite for the monkeys. There seems to be too much confusion about this.

@groovyloopylou I tested the large seafood platter today, and it did NOT work! I think the monkeys favorites may only be desserts. My pastry cream and fruit ALWAYS works, and that's all I've ever fed to them. I'm going to test some desserts without fruit and see how they respond.

Time bending both Eternity Isle, The Valley, & all the Realms is the BEST way to get Mist. You can walk away with 10-12k of Mist within 30 min.

I agree. Time bending is the best/most efficient method. I've thoroughly tested each method and it's been my main focus since launch day. That's why I included the information on how to make time bending even MORE efficient. You can drastically increase those numbers by giving the time bender profession to more valley residents and making sure whoever accompanies you is atleast level 10. As I stated in the video, I recommend a minimum of 5 to 10. To be fair, you could likely double those numbers. While focusing on mist duties will generate less mist as opposed to time bending it will allow you to gather new resources, advance in scramble coin, and progress through eternity isle WHILE gaining mist. It just comes down to what's the most benificial for your play style.

Mine sometimes crashes when it’s raining hard. It’s much better than what happened ed the first 2 days though. Only crashed 4 times last night and I played for about 5 hours!

My god, you are an absolute genius. What can i say, but many thanks for sharing this and making life easier for us. Your tips for relocating trees etc, i should know that, it's basic, as we did it in the valley. I think i just got overwhelmed with exploring and going back and forth for the star path. Obtaining as much mist as possible is key, as we literally need it for everything and having to sacrifice some for opening biomes, upgrading your hourglass etc, has been challenging. But, we got all the time in the world.. Thanks for this, it's a game changer. Makes sense to have more time benders, currently I only have 1, must remedy that. Thanks again 😊

i've gotten up to 500 mist in all realms. more important though. you can get a very rare resource called Glimmer from the realms. these are used to make fragments. at hourglass level 3 you have 10 different fragments you can make, each require 25 glimmer along with mist and at least 10 of 1 other resource

What increments does mist drop for you in the realms? For me it's ALWAYS 150 per time bend. I've never had more than 3 time bends in a realm. So the absolute most I can get is 450 in the large realms and I've tested this everyday since the expansion dropped. For the small realms, I only get one treasure and it's always exactly 150 mist. As far as glimmer is concerned I believe you'll only collect that from realms once your hourglass is upgraded.

yea you need level 2 for the hourglass to find glimmer. and same amount, 3 in the larger realms. 1 in the smaller. i didn't start going to the realms until after my hourglass was level 2. maybe that's why i got 500 per mist drop, not total from 3. my hourglass is level 3 now but the realms hadn't reset before i stopped playing last@@Probably_Senpai

I'll have to check it out tomorrow morning! I would have upgraded the hourglass yesterday but I was far too busy editing this video (Gathering all the footage and numbers for this video has been very time consuming!) I'll have to make a pinned comment explaining the difference in mist obtained depending on the hourglass level. Thanks for the info! That's super helpful! Thank you for the video! I have found the favorite for monkey is any 5 star meal which registers as a favorite in the achievements. The monkeys liked foods is any 3 & 4 star meal and doesn’t register as a favorite in the achievements.

Actually, banana splits are not 5 star and they *do* count as favorite. Check out the pinned comment when you get a chance for more information! I tested a 5 star large seafood platter today and it *DID NOT* count as favorite. It's looking like any *dessert* between 3 and 5 is actually what qualifies as favorite.

Great guide! My experience in the realms was different. I have a level 3 time bender and receive 500 mist quite often, I also receive special material not just mist from doing realms. I don't remember what the material is called, I'm not logged in. A quick question, did anyone else experience a bug where mist duties autocompleted every 5 minutes? I received the duty to spend 5 mins with Gaston, who I already had as a follower. After that every 5 minutes another duty was autocompleted as long as I had claimed the mist from the previous one, this lasted for about 24 hours. I googled it but could find nothing on the bug and I have no idea what I did to trigger it. I did log off and back on during that time and it still kept happening.

I made a pinned comment about this! My numbers are from a level one hourglass. It's at level 3 now but I haven't ran the new numbers. Everyone says 500 so that checks out. Oh you're talking about glimmer! As far as the auto task completion a ton of people have been mentioning that. Some have said it's counting off mist duties you completed while away from eternity isle. Like things you did back in the main valley that count! They just come in at a delay and randomly mark as done. This is just from what I've heard though. I haven't experienced it myself!

I know I'm late to the party and I don't know if it still works. But there is a glitch where you have a mist task to hang out with gaston or eve, and when you complete that task every few minutes a task is completed by itself. So you can farm mist with just heving the game open and collect that task every few minutes while you can do someting else.

Well, at least they have the training manual! You can always make some time benders that way but it'll definitely cost some dreamlight. 🙃 Any 3 to 5 star meal counts as a favorite for the monkeys. 😊 I know a quest mentions banana meals but you don't have to use those to get credit for favorite. The monkeys are somewhat similar to the ravens when it comes to food. Try it tomorrow and you'll see for yourself. I always give mine pastry cream and fruit. (No bananas), and it still counts as favorite. No need to go out of your way to make a bunch of banana splits lol Lastly, you can find glimmer in realms but only with a level 3 hourglass. 😁

Has anyone noticed that using the timebending crafting table thing ( cant remember the name) it doesn't take items from chests you have to have it in your inventory?

Also, I don't know if this was a glitch for me or if it was the same for others as well, but for some reason the red dot/notification for my Eternity Isle tasks doesn't pop up. So, as a result, when I first realized this, I had rows completed and I didn't even know. Now I have to remember to frequently check because the notification dot doesn't show up for me when Eternity Isle tasks are complete, but all the others do. I don't know if it is a glitch for everyone, but it is for me and worth noting or letting people know, so they're not missing out on mist.

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!! I’ve been struggling to get enough mist! I love your house area. Did you keep the house in the same spot as it was originally and just remove the big trees to make room for the other trees and bushes. I did make a garden next to my house! Thx for the increasing the levels to 10 in a hurry also. I’m at level 9 with eve and take her everywhere with me. I’m at level 4 with rapunzel. Seeing Gaston makes me sad! I couldn’t interact and move my mirror over to complete the quest in the vault. He’s still standing outside by the vault. I did go out and come back into my game but I still couldn’t progress. Any ideas on how to reset my vault so I can finish this? I hope you all have a great weekend playing in the Mist!

Yeah I just kept the house where it was for now! Though, I'm really excited to actually change things up once I have all the resources and decor I need! 😊 Also, concerning the vault, are you saying you couldn't pick the mirror up off of the ground? For the second gate one beam of light points to a spot on the wall that won't reflect. You have to go and pick up a mirror to place it on that spot. Sadly there are some well known bugs plaguing the vault right now. I hope that's not what stopped you!

@@Probably_Senpai I was able to pick up the mirror but unable to transfer it to the spot that once the switch was activated it would’ve been raised and so it could cause the beams to go across the room where they needed to be. Only one of the two beams would only work. I still have the mirror in my pack back storage. I just tried for the 4th time and it still won’t go. Poor Gaston has been standing in front of the vault in the desert for 2 days now!! I put a well, tent and outhouse by him until this hopefully can be reset! Gotta add some humor too! Jafar is still a hologram but won’t respond if I talk to him so he can just wait too!! Haha.

Question I just went back and watched your mining video. I have 26 miners. 4x time benders 1x digger 1x gardener 1x fishing I have enough resources to change 3 characters to time bending so I'll have 7 Are there any benefits to having a character that can do fishing, gardening and digging? This question will require a pretty in-depth response. 😅 There is always a *benifit* to having villagers with different professions... however the benifit is very small if you only have one. For example, if you have only *one* fishing villager and hang out with them while you fish, you'll only have a 20% chance of giving you a mere +1 of whatever you catch. Now if you had *two* fishing villagers hanging out with either one would give you a 40% chance to get a +1 duplicate of whatever you catch. (It goes up by 20% for each villager until you hit 5 for a 100% chance at +1. Following that, every added villager will start providing a 10% chance at +4 of whatever you catch. Meaning, at 15 fishing villagers, you'll have a 100% chance at +4 of whatever you catch. After that each villager will give a 10% chance at +9. So at 25 fishing villagers, you'll always get +9.) These same numbers apply to the other proffesions as well. Time bending, mining, foraging, ect. Since you have 26 mining companions, you're garaunteed a +9, and you have a 10% chance to get +16. Though, in my opinion, 25 mining companions is more than enough, and that extra 10% chance just isn't really worth it at that point. In my opinion, having just one of any profession is almost never worth it as you'll only see a small benifit 20% of the time. The only acception being digging thanks to the miraculous shovel potion. If you hangout with your one digging companion and you use the digging potion you'll get a good benifit... this is why I keep just one digging companion. Thanks to the addition of the ancient gardening machines, I no longer feel the need to have any gardener. Ultimately, the way you structure your proffesions will depend on your playstyle. What do you do the most? If you primarily mine & time bend, I would recommend giving these proffesions to most of your villagers. Currently, I have no gardeners, foragers, or fishers. I only have one digging companion to use with potions. Everyone else is minging/timebending, and this works very well for me. Hope this helped! 🙏

I heard a rumor that when this happens it's actually slowly catching up with mist duties you completed while away from eternity isle... so if you do mist duties in the valley they will randomly get checked off in the isle later. I'm pretty sure it's a bug either way... but a nice one! Lol

Can someone help me understand what the big mist balls do. I interacted with one and it made a circle around me and few seconds later it disappeared. Im a little confused of what I should have done in the circle.

Yeah! When you activate those you'll have limited time to pull up to 4 *treasures* from the area. Once you activate the ball, stay within the ring and use the hourglass to find and collect as many treasures as you can.

Just a note, you say the only thing you get in realms is mist, but that's also where you get glimmer.

Hey there! Just so you're aware cobras *will* eat scorpions and capybaras *will* eat bamboo... but these *WILL NOT* count as a favorite food on tasks and duties for either critter. I've tested this thruoughly so if you want to get credit for *favorite* food you need to use eggs for cobras and cabbage for capys.

It can be found in the character realms in the castle, if I'm not mistaken? However, your hourglass has to be leveled up. Not sure if it has to be level 2 or level 3 for them to spawn in the realms. But that's the only place that glimmer can be found, and only once daily, from what I've seen.

@@Probably_Senpai Glimmer is a hard to find crafting component used in the timebending table for specific recipes. I've only seen people say that they were able to find it in the realms, and not in the regular valley or eternity isle. So once the hourglass is upgraded to the level where the glimmer can spawn along with mist and other treasures, it's important to check out each realm to get the glimmer that seemingly only spawns 1x a day in the realms. I haven't upgraded my hourglass yet, but I can't wait to start finding some glimmer!

By money, do you mean "starcoins?" The easiest and fastest way to make starcoins is by gardening/farming and selling your crops. Make sure you have a level 10 gardening companion with you when you harvest!

I don't understand this time bending. I follow the half round light and it brings me to a wall. Don't like that time bending stuff.

Yeah, this is supposed to happen. That means the treasure you're looking for is on the *other* side of that wall. You need to find your way *around* the wall. The Hourglass can only detect treasures in the *area* you're currently in... so there's 100% a way to get around that wall. Think of it like a puzzle. I love the time bending!

I made a picture from the map where I was standing. You can't (at this moment) go to the other side. It's down right on the map from the letters Ancient Ruins the round stone thing on the map. There is a wall now so you can't go there.

The Monkey's fav food is Banana Split, Senpai.

Haha! The level of misinformation out there on the new critters is crazyyy! I'm guessing you found that information on google or in an article? It's not accurate. Monkeys are similar to the Ravens. Ravens favorites are a variety of 5 star meals. Monkeys favorites are cooked desserts between 3 and 5 stars. That's why banana splits work too. I explained this in the video.... I have ONLY fed the Monkeys Pastry Cream and Fruit because it's all I carry Just go to 07:42 and you'll see that ALL 8 of the pastries I've given the monkeys have counted as a *favorite* I literally showed it on screen... Anyway, you don't have to feed them banana splits. That's just ONE of their favorites. Come on Michael... have some faith in Senpai! Do you really think I would post this without researching it first? 😅😅

i found the information from my own gameplay, is the only thing i've tried so far that has increased my own "score" so i was just passing on my personal experience from hands on gameplay, not about faith at all. @@Probably_Senpai

Banana ice cream is their favorite food. One of the characters actually tells you that as you get further into the expansion quests.

However, that is NOT what you have to feed them to get credit for giving them favorite meals. The reason that SO many people are confused about this is simply because it seems ANY dessert between 3 and 5 stars will count as giving the monkeys their favorite food. When we discuss "favorite foods" of the critters we count anything they will take as a favorite... not just what an npc says. Anything the *game* decides to count as a favorite *is* a favorite. Pastry cream and fruit works too among tons of other meals. All that said, I can't help but to laugh about this topic. It comes up literally every day on stream and people always argue about what the monkeys like the most. (When in reality *all* that matters is that whatever you give the monkey applies credit to the *favorite food task*) I swear it's like the devs are trolling us at this point. 😂 Again, at 07:32 you can see my task for "feed monkey's their favorite food" and it has been counted off 8 times. The only thing I've fed them is pastry cream and fruit... with no bananas. 😆

@@Probably_Senpai mine love the cakes too. They do flips before eating. I had given them the large seafood platter and the second day the monkey looked upset. So I switch it up and do the cakes or the fruit with cream!!

I'm not happy about how many times you have to spam the a button.

I actually get a ton of praise on my voice and my narration style on KZread... I try to speak clearly and enthusiasticaly to bring excitement to the videos and it makes understanding my words easier for all viewers. Even some with english as a second or third language. Sorry if it bothers you. 😕
