I’ve noticed that if you look for treasure in the valley you get a ton of mist, and if you go to the Moana realm etc you get 500 mist from each of those areas as well.

I really wish we could craft mist using some dreamlight (similar to the way way we can craft dreamlight from the shards). I have so much dreamlight sitting around - close to 400k - and at this point we really only use it for crafting special items, so I would like to use some of the extra to make mist. I’m honestly surprised they didn’t include something like that.

Treasure node hack for you: the treasure doesn't spawn inside objects so before you set off the node, put some houses or some big furniture down in the radius of it. You can shrink the available space to almost nothing and dramatically cut down on running/searching time. The only thing is, you have to make sure you aren't creating any hard-to-get-to empty spots on the outer edges of the node, or treasure could spawn on the other side of the thing you just put down.

I don't have that secret area unlocked yet, but i constantly have my hourglass pointing me that direction. I have the same problem in the lion king realm, it wants me to go up a wall thats not accessible. + a little bonus tip if you travel to realms and you use your hourglass there it will give you 500 mist or glimmer, but I'm grinding in the realms for mist.

I’ve had that issue in the lion king realm too. Wants me to go to places I can’t physically go. I use realms a lot too mostly for farming glimmer but sadly there’s a daily cap :(

I noticed that 500 plus mist score when I went there the first time to collect glimmer, now I go there all the time and have racked up so much mist I unlocked everything except the vacuums so far

So before I even opened any of the secret areas, I did have treasures spawning in those areas which was super annoying because I couldn’t get to them. So I would recommend people do unlock those areas so they can get to the treasures! Treasure hunting was actually how I found a secret area because my staff kept telling me there was treasure past those stalagmites and I realized there must be a path past them

We SO need a larger inventory!! Or, be able to carry sacks that can hold more items.

If the would up the quantity of each item that would help a lot :) I hate that every time I turn around I have to go unload my pockets and now making more storage for new island why cant they have I storage holds all that would be so much better

I have Scrooge chests everywhere. I unload when I get full. Then when I go home I can clean out the stuff and organize it.

I disagree, even though I haven't opened them up, my Hourglass still sometimes wants me to go up/down to the currently blocked off areas in my Glittering Dunes. Since it's a new Villager role, I've chose to assign all 3 Eternity Isle characters the Timebender job. However, they seem to sporadically give me an extra item.

Exactly. Came to the comments just to say this. From day one my treasures have been showing up in these out of reach places. I was so excited to FINALLY be able to go into some of these to stop being led into walls or the ground. 😂

@@theoneandonlycassi This happens when I visit the Lion King Realm. My Hourglass always wants me to go an inaccessible area above the giant Waterfall. It must be sensing where Timone & Pumba are lol

That tip about the floating orb is really helpful, I'd hit it and seen the resulting 'dome' but had no idea what to do with it!. Love the way you have gathered all the game's harvestable plants into one area, will be doing that next time I play. Quick tip from me - when you need to decorate areas of a biome, go to furniture, scroll down to 'landscaping', go into 'underbrush' and plop down some orchid bases or tropical ferns. The game accepts them as decoration, and you don't need to remove them as your character can simply move through them.

A glitch I've experienced at least twice now while playing on the switch, is that my mist duties seem to complete by themselves. Only one at a time though, until it gets checked off it won't do it to another task. My current assumption is that it has to do with the "hang out with [character] for 5 minutes", because this seems to have happened after I did those missions. 😅 It could also do with the fact that I keep hanging out with the character even after completing the task so I'm able to level the characters up. I've used it to focus on collecting mist/treasures with the hourclass and less on the tasks, which has been helpful.

I had this glitch yesterday and it was wonderful! Every 3 mjns another completed (even if I actually completed another task) I refused to turn off my game yesterday because of it! We’ll see what happens today

@@LexiaCetre for me it was every 5 minutes! Did it happen to you after the hanging out quest or did it just start happening? I'm curious to know if that is the trigger for it or not 🤔 When I played yesterday, it stopped at some point and didn't seem to come back, not sure what could've caused it (potentially me travelling from the island to the valley).

I'm also thinking that if we can find if there is a trigger, it'll be easier to do again until they decide to fix it - maybe keep an eye out and see if it starts happening randomly or if you completed a hanging out quest before it did? Of course, only if you want to, it's completely fine even if you don't ^^

They can get you about 1k but there’s a daily cap on it. Mostly use the realms for farming Glimmer. (Check out recent video for more on Glimmer)

Yeah, the companion will drop 1/2 value of Mist you just picked up…IF they are feeling like it. (Hoping that probability increases as friendship levels grow.) ALSO, when an area says there is no more treasure…give it a few minutes…then there will be more treasure.

If you go into the characters realms, it drops 500 each time you bend, getting you 500-3k mist per realm.

You do need a lot of mist. Thanks for these tips!

for the decorate ones, dont even have to the respective biome. furniture mode means you can scroll over to the one in the task and plop the things

If you leave the area blocked off the treasure spot can still spawn there. Does not affect spawn at all. The only reason I upgraded was because I kept having them spawn there

I agree that treasure hunting is the best way. You need a lot of treasures to build the devices and the (secret companion).

So THAT’s what those orbs are! I thought it was a glitch so I always ignored them 😆 I can’t wait to play some more and try that out!

Wait, is there another companion boom thing of time bending? I don't see it on the Xbox, or is it? Just each character has their own thing that they do. If you have the mask companion while you treasure hunt

Was that door handles behind the waterfall in the beginning ?

2 treasures max from every eternity isle biome. By that I mean each individual area you unlock not just the 3 zones. In the 8 biomes of dreamlight valley you can find 3 treasures in each biome.

I was getting the prompt to go the the hidden areas while treasure hunting BEFORE I opened them which was wild lol

I had treasure spawning past the points I couldn't access without the upgraded tools. I don't think there's a reason to hold off upgrading.

Try doing 5 gooseberry, it’s more energy than the large platter plus I collect them faster than seafood. I actually did have mist beyond those glass sand things when I started it was very annoying that I couldn’t get to it

I didn’t know about the underground area and didn’t unlock it. All my glass flower spawns happened down their and I thought it was another spawning bug.

I have things constantly getting stuck behind places that I can’t move around. I have this book just floating around that I dug up and there’s no way for me to get it :/ idk why this keeps happening but I hope it gets fixed. Thank you for your videos they help me in a lot of my quest❤

Just like coins being lost in areas yiu cannot ever access,uts just really poor game making quality in my opinion and extremely frustrating for players

What if you do not have a time bender friend?

The secret areas still spawn mist even when they are closed off. You just won't be able to get it if you don't upgrade your pickaxe or whatever.😊

Still can’t figure out how to use hourglass like you do. How could you tell the rift was underground in the cave area? Does it sparkle differently! Need a tutorial please lol. You find it so fast on the timed challenges and I am lucky to get even one. Are you just guessing where they are?

It helps to move your camera angle a little to see where it's pointing. The middle of the blue line is basically your pointer, and if you look closely at the yellow sparkles, it will tell you to go straight or to turn a little to the left or right.

Has anyone had issues with it crashing every fifteen minutes? Or sticking? I also finished quests that had with mist as rewards I never got the mist. I love this game but I'm running into some issues.

The items will still spawn in the tunnels even if you haven’t opened those areas. You just won’t be able to access that item unfortunately unless you open that area. I noticed this with mine as I could not reach them.

I had treasure spawning in that valley area regardless of if I unlocked it or not

Before I open the secret areas my hourglass was pointing to the them

My time bending would still try to have me go through the glass sculptors even before I was able to remove them

Anyone use the cooker yet? It was so damn slow Im thinking I did something wrong, why is it taking sooooo long to batch cook that I just give up, am I doing something wrong?

My buddy always seem to be in the way of the treasure. I spend a lot of time dodging them and cancelling out their talk feature. It has been hard to utilize the orbs due to companions, buddies and obstacles. About ready to strip both my valley and the Isle.

I'm playing with a controller on PC, and the tooltip says to fast-tap the A button, but I have found that I can avoid the annoyance you are talking about by instead spamming the X button. I'm not sure how that translates to keyboard input, but I really hope this helps you take advantage of the orbs.

I turn my back to the buddy when pressing the x button. This way if you accidentally press the x button an extra time it won't trigger a convo with your buddy

The areas that are blocked off spawn treasures anyway. You're better off opening them so you can actually get the treasures that spawn.

My game is kinda glitched. I can just be standing still and my mist duties will show being completed and I haven’t even done them. Not going to complain but it is kinda freaky

I had the weirdest glitch happen when I was playing yesterday. It was like every few minutes one of the daily quest way to get done automatically without me doing a thing. I racked up enough. Miss the unlock pretty much all the areas on eternity isle an upgrade all my hourglassing tools to level 2 within a few hours

Unfortunately my treasure keeps spawning in locked hours anyways😢

Jesus rn idk why since yesterday there is some glitch ins ram valley working in my favor idk if it’s happening with anyone else? Random dream duties get fulfilled when I'm not doing them nor are they listed to complete. Example I just moved things around in my chest and then after I earned most for feeding a critter. Like wth? Best glitch ever!

You don’t have to travel to put decor out in a different biome. You can just go into F mode instead.

Does anyone else have the glitch where you get random eternity isle milestones for things you haven't completed? Like I haven't fed a snake yet but I already achieved it twice.

About your comment with the blocked off areas like that canyon in the Glittering Dunes. I haven't upgraded my tools, so I can't get rid of those stalagmites. Treasures have still spawned down in the bottom of the canyon for me, and I can't even get to them at the moment, so sadly it doesn't seem to matter whether the tools are upgraded or not.

Once you get the hang of it and start multitasking it’s not too bad. Just take it at your own pace. The beauty of DLV is there’s no rush 😊

I cheated mine and it caps out at 1.4 billion. No need to grind, just cheat, I got unlimited amounts of everything.

Btw not unblocking those hidden areas doesn't mean stuff doesn't spawn there like mist or treasures. It's telling me they are down there all the time and it's been so frustrating

I second this! I haven’t had much time to play and really get into the update and your guides have been clutch for me maximizing the little time I do have to play! Keep it up! Side note, have you noticed an increase in your blue boxes on eternity isle? I haven’t found one in days and I’m wondering if they’ve spawned in locked areas of the isle 🤷🏻‍♀️

For me the treasures still wanted me to get up in the oasis and down in the vid while being blocked off🥲 so for me it doesn’t matter before or after I opened the passage ways 😅
