@@LucasDerze i only had one good DPS and that was Acheron, so I could easily clear one side but the other was either impossible or very hard, I was actually stuck on stage 7-8 on most MoCs before getting Boothill, but after I got him and built him, everything changed and i was able to clear MoC 12 pretty easily l, not fast enough though, I'm still missing Bronya so he doesn't have his best team yet, and i still need to build him more, still I'm happy i went from being stuck at 7-8 to clearing MoC 11 and everything before with 3 stars and getting two stars at MoC 12, all because I pulled one character. I started during Huohuo's banner by the way, and i was saving up for Acheron ever since Ruan's banner

Break will probably be to AS what DoT is to PF. Every other cycle you'll either have the team or you won't and just get fucked that month. Break is at least more accessible than DoT is thanks to HTB, but who knows if it'll be balanced with that in mind.

Cut the garbage take. PF has been the same difficulty, and varying favored units like any MoC buff and like it will be with the new game mode. Just because you don't match a given rotation with your account doesn't mean it's less flexible. It probably means you got misled by the community content instead of making the right calls.

if they update MOC to save your best Node run would be amazing. being able to star Argenti without having to redo Cocolia is a great addition

Pretty sure Boothill doesn't really need HMC and can easily be subbed for RM. While Firefly's best support is HMC, RM is a great add-on but not a need.

Asta is a good replacement for Ruan Mei in the case of Firefly, she only needs HMC to work, you can send RM to Boothil with no issue.

cant wait for the new mode, boss rush lets go RAAAA! Been levelling my Xueyi and Gallagher on the side, and happy its paying off.

143 for 700 AV is a breakpoint for regular MoC, optimizing over (0-based) 4 cycles and 2 waves. 4/5 cycle split are common for f2p. So some breakpoints are still very useful for f2p and carries over anyway.

Essentialy, this is the continuation of the scentverse event. I can only imagine how strong Yanqing will be in this gamemode.

Missing the last two rewards in each endgame mode accounts for only 3 pulls, and some leveling materials and relic remains from the Jokes Come True shop (you should have enough for the Self-Modeling Resin). For reference, most patches have been providing 100 or more pulls between permanent additions and limited events. Given that, while 3 pulls isn't nothing by any means, it's also not enough to merit getting worked up over if you're still building up your characters or the patch's buffs don't synergize with any of your teams very well.

this mode is fun. also i love how the buff is quite flexible. i managed to get 12 stars. node 1 with acheron, pela, sw, aventurine. node 2 with a wacky team of DHIL, ruan mei, gallagher, hmc. the super break buff is so OP. i can't get 3300 using DHIL & sparkle in node 2.

Hey Guoba, will you ever make a guide on elite enemy mechanics?? Tbh there are a lot of enemy mechanics I dont know well enough & I think a guide on that would be pretty amazing! I like your guides in general, they're very thorough & easy to understand. But while I understand the character themselves, I dont think I always understand the mobs we fight to be optimal. Also, most hints the game gives us during combat disappears after 2 seconds & I never even had time to read what it said xD

Argenti hits hard in aoe situations and his full ult hits 7 times randomly spread out, so if you can pump up his energy regen or help battery him he will be very dangerous to any single or pair of enemies.

Argenti is INSANE in PF, any physical weakness is cake walk for him and easy to play. for MoC just need tune your speed and make sure use his Ult at Max energy for Masive dmg nuke. so yea Argenti is what Erudition unit be. not like Certain General with Snail yelow Susanoo

I will say, this is the easiest of the bunch for me. I still can't get past 3rd stage pure fiction and 8th stage moc, but i got 11 stars on apocalyptic shadow with little resets

@@okers12 The time it takes is outside the action value we use and the fact it's no longer separated by cycles means you don't need it to go faster just to reset the cycle duration. The cc is a bigger concern, the obvious answer is getting rid of FX

As a simulated universe player, I’m glad we can finally experience the harder bosses in a way they actually let us put up a fight while putting up a fight.

I've been consistently max starring MoC since Luocha's first banner (PF too since its release), so it's going to be a feelsbadman moment if I can't also max star AS. Seems like Firefly is a free "I win" button so that's great for me, I was going to pull her regardless. Hopefully Acheron is very strong too as you suggested. I do have a cracked E1S1 Jingliu as well but at this point she's probably going to start seeing less use (at least outside of MoC)... I noticed you said the enemies hit you very frequently. Do you think Clara is also a good choice against Argenti?

Yes, clara is decent against Argenti because the crosses hit quite frequently in first phase. After that i kept Numby on him because taunt doesn't stop him

Not really. In super break you can go iron cavalry but it’s not too significant, and in ff or fire teams you can go forge

this looks a lot more fun than Pure Fiction

I love such good advice as use ruan mei on both sides. Truly amazing. Or just have every character in a game.

Crit DPS with a Break Rope. Quantum Set and Talia planetary set. Aeons LC and try to get the speed & crit ratio first. Any additional break effect & atk% is a bonus, but focus on the spd & crit ratio. If you run her with Ruin Me and Hatblazer you usually don't need that much additional break effect. You can also run her with Tingyun or Bronya if you don't have Ruan Mei.

As she has to conversion to break effect, she stills performs best as a hybrid in super break effect team. Your critical hits will still deal a ton of damage in addition to the super break damage. Keep in mind that her E6 is not necessary, but increases her overall damage by a lot.

@@lastbaumstanding1802 I'm planning to play her with Sparkle so speed is kinda useless, meaning that I won't get the bonus break effect from Talia, so I was thinking Inert would be her best set. And I was also thinking wether I should go ATK or DMG orb cause she already gets so much DMG% from break effect + Sparkle but she also gets a lot of attack from Aeon + ATK boots so I wanted to see the math on which is better

Cocolia for Acheron team and Argenti for Firefly team, easy win

My RRAT team is insane but JY Hypercarry manages to pull through with ~3100 points, safe from Ruan Mei once more

Always, and I mean always bring HMC to fight Argenti. HMC is not a QoL, he is a necessity in this cycle because of how little damage you do without breaking.

Do you have advice for Argenti 2nd phase when he becomes invulnerable or unhittable?

so does AP (apocalyptic shadow) allows you to use a character for both teams or does it works like MoC and PF?

I am happy that i still can 12star all 3 modes with only E0S0 5stars, but i still regret not having acherons LC and not having E1S1 topaz.

Everywhere I look, I'm just seeing that I have no team comp listed for Cocolia, as I lack 1-2 of the 5* per comp, vs my argenti boss getting stomped by firefly.

I'm so happy when I saw Cocolia because I immediately went "YES FINALLY A XUEYI ANGLE" I've been dying to see my Xueyi in action again and I'm so happy I get to try out Super Break Xueyi in this mode. I'm still a little sketchy with how the IPC team perform against Argenti, while he does perfectly line up with the team's element (Fire - Topaz, Imaginary - Aventurine and Ratio, Physical - Robin) seeing that he does get his toughness bar locked and you need to take out the summons first, I hope those summons aren't extremely stupidly tanky.

@@okers12 Cocolia's weaknesses go away and each ice pillar gets one. And the boss is designed to die while broken, you wouldn't get to the entanglement damage evne if they weren't immune.

Argenti is easy for me with my FUA team (Dr Ratio, Aventurine, Pela, Robin) but im having hard time with Cocolia. Jingyuan is my DPS but for some reason it's slow. I had Jingyuan, Fuxuan, Gallagher & Tingyuan. Maybe i can try putting Pela in the first team instead. Though, Gallagher is nto doing well against Cocolia so maybe I can switch him with someone??? Also, thank you for the tips! P.S. I don't have other DPS btw.

aventurine is the opposite of fuxuan, you dont want a single unit get wrecked by enemies and i guess boothills taunt makes him always a target?

hope so too! hunt have high single target toughness DMG + SPD buffs / advance buffs so they at least get that

I am more concerned about that 100 feathers more than 80 jades tbh

Yet another game mode I can't touch for a very long time... Building two teams with no Preservation and no 5-star buffers is very limiting. And building a single team is so time-consuming in itself.

The boss will not recover from break, especially not a quantum break. It's meant to die when you deplete the bar, it wouldn't get to the entanglement damage.

Besides breaking the boss, another thing Apocalyptic Shadow places a lot of value on is how well your DPS can burn the boss during the break window. Currently there's only two archetypes I can think of that suffer from this mechanic. DoT because they deal their damage during the enemy turn but the enemy gets delayed during break window. Luckily Kafka and that DoT blessing exists to counteract this but I can see DoT going down in future AS if there's no DoT blessing. And the other archetype is counter-attack based units like Clara. There's really no way for her to increase her DPS in a window because there's no enemy action going on during that period. The FUA blessing does help but there's also just better FUA units to use in this mode.

Then again the mode gimmick might change in the future.. like how some PF is basically Clara playground (the one with FUA bonus) and some other are DoT playground (Enemy speed up on damage) The thing about HSR is that gimmick matters more than the team or unit itself.. like during FUA bonus nuke I managed to 2 turned 40k it with Clara + March + Aventurine meme team. As long as HSR endgame content relies heavily on gimmick bonus there's always chance that next time break team might not be usable at all.

​@@guobacertified I tried, either my account is cursed and incredibly unlucky with gear because it does not feel like a "skill issue" it feels like bashing my head against a brick wall hoping for a different result, I honestly think it'll take near 300k stamina to fix my account with a luckier player piloting it.

@@guobacertified Could you define what exactly a "decent team" is? Whatever side has Firefly is a free win. I'm currently being absolutely railed on the non-Firefly boss. EDIT: I DID actually manage to three-star Stage 4. Fu Xuan (with Trend)/Kafka/Guinaifen/Acheron managed to beat Cocolia with 1085 AV remaining. This left only 485 AV for Argenti, but fortunately, E1S1 Firefly is so broken that I killed that nerd with only 301 AV rofl. There might actually be some merit in using Firefly by herself against Argenti and running a Break Xueyi team against Cocolia. Once I farm a proper set for Firefly and return Xueyi's relics back to her, I'll give this a shot.

I've just recently broke out of MoC final star curse and now it's come for me again. The fact that it's not mandatory jade count wise is reassuring ig, but it's painful to look at.

Couldn't clear second side with Ratio, tried with Jingliu and after a couple of attempts I got it. Now I hate Argenti boss

Seele for Cocolia, FF for Argenti. I will never stop using Seele. Perhaps I might even drop Silver Wolf for Jade for even stronger FUA.

Kinda wish instead of the unique buff or alteration being for both teams that it was just for one side and a whole different one for your other team , like if one side is break effect then tje other side could have a follow up atk buff of a dot one Only reason I say this is because I think the avg player can probably fill about one complete team with a certain mechanic but not really two I mean if you have every character it would be hard to fill 2 break teams even so forgot about if you got like half the characters in the game rip lol
