Good lordt this is my issue. I have one nice sized spaghetti squash growing. The remaining flowers are male (leaves galore). Life's design is fascinating!

I’m not growing squash or zucchini, but I’m doing similar with my cucumbers. And when the male flowers are spent, I just pull them off. My bumblebee friends appreciate the fresh flowers

we've got one of those white PVC fences exactly like that, and I ran a pole all the way along the top (secured by the top posts). Then we strung 3x3 netting that hung down to the ground. Problem was, it got so incredibly hot that it was difficult to get climbing plants to survive. This is the first year we're not using it for that reason

I have mine(cucumber/Winter squash) weaved through a full arch of cattle panels with trees on one side and still use a shade cloth. The sun is harsh..esp here in the south!

I think the bees prefer the watermelon flowers because I have so many of them growing. The zucchinis are right next to them and no Zucchini yet. Time to take matters into my own hands! Thanks for the tips!

I'm trying out squash/zucchini in 10 gallon grow bags (About 20)diluting 20-20-20 down to 10. They're teenagers atm..considering hitting them with a full dose then back off to blossom booster once they're maturish. The watering frequency is what I'm hashing out. I just hope one dose of 20 won't shock em.

It could go either way... Too much fertilizer could end up burning the plant roots.. With a 10 gallon bag and you diluted the water let's be positive. I think you got this 🌱 .. That's going to be a healthy plant for sure.. happy Friday and gardening...

So cool that you just came on, I was just thinking about this. My female little fruits are dying. I was going to ask you? Do you use a healthy fertilizer? If so what and how often? Thank you sir.

Your welcome and sorry to hear that .. It's always good to use an organic fertilizer like a 10 10 10 or A regular all-purpose fertilizer and I will say increased the calcium.. Once the plants start growing bigger, produce the first fruit add every 2 weeks .. Just remember it's a big plant . As soon as the plans start producing a male or female flower that's when I start increasing my fertilizer.... Cuz it does take some times for the fertilizer to break down to... Depends on the type you use Thank you always... Have a wonderful day 🌱

Yes ... Once the plant produces fruits, try to keep at least 8 to 10 leaves..

My problem this year is I have a bunch of both male and female flowers but no bees. And I'm never home in the morning for me to hand polinate....lol

Oh no sorry Thomas... Try to plant some flower plants in your garden , Sunflower , lavender's or Coneflower ...
