Exactly the same for me, been type one for 21 years and have been stuck on the same insulin pens and blood testing kit for the majority of that time. Finally convinced the NHS to fund a libre kit for me.

I currently have iOS/Spike iphone and iwatch but would really like the idea of just a watch with my MM transmitter rather than having to keep my phone with me all the time. I'm using CGM device Blucon Nightrider which gives me automatic readings every five minutes and gives alarms as per my set target range. I love my device and I can share my readings with 5 caregivers.

Welcome to the family. And so spike high notification can be sent over to the watch but it won't be a sound notification. Hope that helps

Good job. I suppose after a while of "wearing" the measuring sticker/needle you will no longer actively feel it as much ? About that dex one: how is the range ? battery life of the stick-on ?

I was wondering if you have ever done a video on the Bubble? I didn't seem to find one? MM2 is out now and the Bubble has received great reviews. I was hoping that you could let me know what you think of the two units ( bubble vs mm2)?. I live in the US and have been using the libre2 for about a week as it just came out. I was using dexcom G6 for 2 years, but even with insurance its costing about 1400.00 a year (includes monthly sensors & transmitter every 3 months) which is costly so, now that Libre 2 has high/low alarm I felt I could make the transition back, but I still feel that getting levels every 5 minutes is a must, as it gives one the most accurate view of what ones glucose has been doing, and trends seem to be more important then accuracy (BG vs Interstitial fluid) which most people focus on)? I find the Libre 2 to be much more accurate( in terms of deviation from BG reading and adjusts much better to the change) then the libre 14day and seems to have somewhat caught up with Dexcom in that aspect. sorry for digressing... If you could shed some light on the Bubble vs MM2 I would really appreciate, as I want to buy one of them in the next few days?

Hiya.. Fantastic videos, especially for us 'newbies' to diabetes lol... I'm only just newly diagnosed, 6 months ago, with type1 at the age of 47, but luckily I got the Libre almost instantly.. I have 2 questions if you don't mind.. firstly, My first few months using the sensor on my both arms was fine, then they both started getting very very sore, and red, and I had to take the sensors off after a few days... Have you heard of anyone else getting this type of pain from using it?? I use it on my legs now, and its fine, and the reading are still quite accurate, I'd just prefer it on my arm.. Secondly.... After maybe 5/6 days, the stickiness of the sensor starts to decrease, and I have to be very careful in the shower etc..... At the very start of your video, you have great big clear sticky covers.... where did you get them?? any ordinary plasters I've tried, just fall off lol..... Thankyou in advance for any help... Jim

Thx you so much for all your info. This wil help us out so much. Iam living close to a friend who has type 1D. And Iam the one closest in an emergency. After a close call of sorts I recently started to dive in to the tech and that was quite an eye opener for us both. We are very much behind on med tech in the Netherlands. We even need to buy the libre sensors ourselves over here because the medical advise board leans way of the insurers that don't want to see them as a necessary tool because of costs.But i degress. We are very happy to find out how much better and most of all saver we can make it using new tech. Even exploring the possibilities of OpenAPS/AndroidAPS for the near future. Her future Ypsomet mylife doesn't support a separate bleutooth signal yet to look into looping. But recent news hints of them opening up the source code. So iam asking them directly. Otherwise we might get a diffent pump. But first we are setting up Xdrip+ or Glimp.We wil be running a Samsung S8 With the Libre miaomiao combi.So then we have a cgm running. Good to know about the calibrating. I see you have extra tape over the sensors? I'll be going through your Channel so maybe it's already answered but I had a question. But how can you setup Xdrip+/glimp Nightscout cloud sms service for serious low alarm at night? Edit: Found it in the xdrip+ app as a feature.Amazing the amount of work people put into all of this software and hardware tutorals.Its heart warming to see and read. We wil dive into the rabit hole in the month ahead and I wil share as much as I can so my friend can do and understand all of this and can make ajust and repair what we are building. Is there a way to enhance Bluetooth coverage range of miaomiao 2 reader?

Hi Nerdabetic, what is the number range you can set the alarms for. I have slow adsortion of food and would like the set a low alarm at 10mmol, as it can take round a hour for dextrose to take affect. I brought the Dexcom G6 only to find out the highest you can set a low alarm is 5.6mmol.

HOW did you make the remote glucoses display on the wall behind you? I haven't been able to display my current blood glucose from healthkit, or from any reader software. I use Ambrosia/freestyle... perhaps a video on how to create such a display?

how to setup xdrip+ on a mobile phone

Really need some advice please as not at all tech savvy. Have been using libre successfully for a couple of years to protect my adult son with special needs. As I scan him during the night I thought Miao Miao would allow me to get some more sleep. I have set up alarms and I am using the glimp app on my android phone. Unfortunately his bedroom is too far away and I lose Bluetooth connectivity. Do I buy an extender device or how can I make this work please

First of all thanx for your video's I've learned a lot watching them. But I need to ask....can you make some video's regarding children....becouse everything is smaller, size becomes a big thing. Something like the miaomiao covers most of the arms so we choose to wear it just for the night. No glue. Removing a libre or iv when the glue is just a bit sticky, can become a big issue where a child can litteraly screem and says it hurts. Thanx in advance

Hi. Thanks so much for your lovely comment. So you can start your sensor using iPhone X and then use miaomiao with IPhone 6+ but you won’t be able to actually scan with 6+. And no, sensors and app needs to be from the same country in order to work ☺️😃

Have a 1st gen Huawei smartwatch t hat does not have NFC so I need to replace it. Thanks Camille, my wife uses my old Apple Watch. Switched to Samsung & Android after I lost patience with Apple not having LibreLink. Diabétologue (consultant) put me on Tresiba, 'more gentle' last week. However I have still had a couple of LO's on the same dose! So I may well invest in M & see if the Apple Watch would work. Otherwise ne watch! Do like my tech-now using Samsung Note 9 that works fine with LibreLink. Thanks again, Roger

SO GLAD that there is a way to have an alarm! I swear to god if this industry actually used diabetics as "guinea pigs" before they release their product, they'd open such a bigger market. Have the dexcom 5 on now, have a demo omni pod on my arm, and after 40yrs of being a type one, and having nothing connected to me, this shit SUCKS. The libre is such a better size but the lack of alarm makes absolutely no sense to someone (any of us) who live with night time hypos...... anyway, good on ya for posting!

Do you know if anyone has found where they could be bought? In Miao Miao the service is impossible, they have never answered me, in fact they sent me the damaged Miao Miao and I only got PayPal to attend me, I have never seen a company with such bad customer service as Miao Miao

Hiya.. I looked at the Libre website this morning. It has a new phone app called the Libre Linkup app6.. It's being marketed as an app for family/friends, to remotely access your glucose readings, and receive high + low alerts to their phone... Obviously, you could have it sent to your own phone?? Would this work in a similar way to what you have in this video??

There's also a thing called C-View which works very similar to Tegaderm.

Hi! I know the Libre gives an average of the last 5-15mins when you scan the reader, do you know if the spike app gives you the most recent reading like a regular CGM would instead of an average?

Hi. So Spike works differently and it is a totally different algorithm and spike requires 1/2 calibrations so we can't really compare it with libre reader. hope that this makes sense ☺️

Can't believe I got a Miao Miao advertisement

Hi I was so impressed with the Miao Miao I ordered one (Managed to get the discount with your code Nerdiabetic, Thanks It arrived today. However I have had no success with setting it up I have tried different android phones . The problem appears to be with the Bluetooth . I have reset the device a number of times but the MM cannot be found via Bluetooth . It appeared momentarily a few times then went away now it does not show at all. I have tried with both android apps xDrip and Glimp can anyone help with this please?

Hey, thanks for your comment. Maybe try resetting phones and restarting transmitter in the same time. And also try searching for that transmitter within the app ( if that is possible on Android / i am really not sure) ☺️ Hope that helps

Have you done a video on FreeStyle Libre accuracy? Some doctors say it's to inaccurate to rely on and can result in one giving one to much or to little insulin. I use it and I love it, but I wouldn't say it's alway accurate.

There is a 10 minute delay expescially if u are going low or high quick. Also there is an active guy that tracts ur insulin. Its very helpful. Plus testing ur sugars too

Hi, our son is diabetic. He has the Miaomiao device which is great. The device is connected to his iPhone and we currently have Spike to monitor these. I want to see his alerts as well but I'm on Android. Is there a way of sharing his readings? I've seen how to do this on Xdrip by creating a follower but no idea how to do this on Spike. Any help would be appreciated

He can download the freestyle app and you can download libre link up so whenever he scans with his phone (Iphone 7 or later) you'll get the reading. But no graph and only when he physically scans it

Libre Pro stores your readings for 2 weeks and can be scanned by your endo. usually used when changing medication so endo can see general picture of your control. NOT A CONSUMER PRODUCT. And H is similar but for hospitals. NOT A CONSUMER PRODUCT either. 😁😀

The new 14 day sensor will be encrypted so that you can't that. And if you call and happen to mention this transmitter they won't give you a replacement if you happen to need it. Also it's not waterproof just resistant.

chadergeist82 the sensor goes into the arm right under the skin with a tiny copper wire it doesn’t hurt when applying it and you do not feel the sensor on the skin. It measure the fluid under the skin not blood :)
