The one thing that surprises me on this channel is that Shweta has actually been a star student, an IIM-A passout. Still she understands very well the plight of people who have 0 idea about themselves and about their own life, students who have been average all along. To be able to talk from their perspective is superb.

I think one point that is missed in this video is - there is no discussion what company expects from you while you are in internship. In India, for students internship actually means training but for company..internship is where you deliver something as well along with learning on the go.

I have applied to about 500 positions and i just can't get a management position. Nothing at all. Covid19 ruined my resume a little with 2 positions held for very little and since i have had 5 temp. Positions i have had many jobs in the last 4 years. Many more in the last 8

Hii Shweta Di! Following you since the time I started preparing for CAT 2021 and I find all your videos helpful right from the old audio format videos to this one. I'm currently in my final year of B.COM and I'm looking forward to a full time role post completion of my degree. I have a doubt and that is which CVs do the HR's like? Do they prefer the old black & white cv's that's suggested in the institute or a little colorful & bright cv's that are made using Canva and other softwares? Asking this specially for Marketing & HR roles.

Hello Priyotosh, I had similar doubts and even made some mistakes by sending template based resume to companies. Verdict: Not selected. The point here is the design of your CV doesn't matters much unless you are applying for design oriented positions like web designing, fashion etc. What matters is the content, your academic, extracurricular achievements, positions of responsibility, etc. And if you go for template based resume, you will end up exceeding 1 page, which is BIG NO. As a fresher and even after 6-7 yrs working, your resume should not exceed 1 page. Solution: Make your resume on MS word, by organising contents with the help of tables. You can go for colour schemes but maintain an order, like dark blue then shades of lighter blue for fonts and cell fill. You can remove outlines of tables if you wish. This way you can add maximum achievements in one page and in well structured way.

Are full time paid internships counted in the top colleges like IIM's, XLRI, FMS or JBIMS, while summers or final placements or they're completely ignored ? Especially if the internship is done after grad & that too in the area where we are going to specialize in MBA.

Hi Shweta, I am in muddle what to do in life. I did my bachelors in prosthetics and orthotics about which not many people are aware of. But after working for 3months in this field I realised that growth is stagnant here and I didn't really enjoyed the work profile offered. I was not satisfied with the work culture and environment there and so I decided to quit the job and field. Also none of the skills I acquired is relevant to help me get a job in any other sector. I want to pursue an MBA from a good college but I don't have any stellar grades nor I have anything that shows any leadership quality in me. Right now I am preparing for Bank exams and not working anywhere. I am unemployed right now. I completed my graduation last year and since then just worked in a company for 3 months. Should I do some certifications online and try to get internships meanwhile preparing for Bank exams or prepare for cat despite of all odds in my career? What would you advice? What should I do?
