the (original) title made it sound like you found a way to get Grammarly premium for free since basic grammerly has always been free...i currently use the plugin for Edge (which I guess doesn't include AI features or I don't know how to turn it on.)... my biggest gripe with grammerly is when you are writing something the active button on the bottom right tends to cover up what you're writing and you can't see the last word of text that you write underneath it. (Edit- update 2/9/24) I guess Kevin saw the error of his ways with the title and has renamed it to include AI in the title...I appreciate the effort.👍

Great tutorial Kevin - very helpful.

I am confused with your video. Grammarly had a free version, which is VERY limited when it comes to checking, and it requires to upgrade. Is it the same, right?

I've been using the free version for years now and it is pretty good, but I am sure that over the last year, it has been bombarding me with adverts to go Premium and putting an image over the curser where I'm typing. Thank you, as always for the video.

I only use Firefox, so I cannot use this free Grammarly? It's ok. I have had premium Grammarly for years, and I love this tool. I even use it here in this comment field. It fixes every error I make.

Buy your IT admin cookies? 😁 On a more serious note, you could try installing through the Microsoft Store, if you're on a Windows PC. Installing through the store is considered safer from an IT perspective, and you might have luck with that route.

You’ll get 100 more every month. If you need more each month, they offer premium plans that give you 1000 prompts.

Perhaps worth doing a video on AI Grammarly prompts. It might help people figure out how to ask for different kinds of suggestions based on what you're writing and what the goals might be.

Yeah, it'll work in Microsoft Word as well. The AI assistant can be very helpful for pulling together a resume.

It's a freemium model. They give you 100 AI credits for free, so you see the value and use it when communicating. If you need more, they offer premium plans. The premium plan offers 1000 AI credits/month.

Gramaarly requires payment at a certain point.

Had to uninstall the Grammerly app. It made all my applications really laggy. Also, the Grammarly icons are always in the worst positions.

Currently, Grammarly supports only the English language.

It only works for English and a very few foreign languages. Not so much for Brazilian Portuguese. What a disappointment!

I’d say the core functionality is the AI writing/ rewrites integrated into the experience. With free, you get 100 and paid gives you 1000. You get the same experience irrespective of which option you choose. If you end up using the assistance occasionally, free is just fine, if you communicate a lot and need assistance, premium is likely better. Free is still a perfectly good option. 👍

Grammarly is ok. They put, commas in, every few words, as if you were, pausing to speak, and it’s, mind blowing, bad. Also their Mac app is not good comparatively. It’s good for summarising what you wrote, as long as you, are willing to, fix , the grammar, ironically.

So, it's not entirely free.

At first, you announce to show a way for ENTIRELY FREE Grammarly. Then, you are showing a paid option. To what extent is it fair to lie???

There's a free tier of Grammarly and a paid tier. The free tier actually gives you quite a bit and most people probably don't need to go with premium. Hope that helps clarify.
