The old ticket on the windshield works fucking brilliantly until you're found out. I did that in my college's parking lot for months without a single problem until the parking enforcement lady wised up to my bullshit and wrote me two tickets a day. I didn't drive often in college so by the time I got to my car I had like 15 tickets. 10/10 would do again. Another tip for any would-be petty criminals, especially those in college: you don't need to buy a new parking permit each year because they rarely change in appearance. I used the same $100 single semester permit all four years, the worst thing that happened was my senior year when the permits changed color. No problem, nothing a Sharpie couldn't fix.
