    Wrap the stalks with a paper bag or something that blocks out light. Continue to cover just the stalks as they grow. That's how to get tender, pale stalks. Dehydrate the leaves and use them in cooking for a great celery taste as well.

    The reason celery is healthy is from chlorophyll. It only gets chlorophyll from the sun shining on it, not thru a paperbag. Also, Vit D (a hormone) deficiency causes mental illness. Theres many with mental illness & instead of giving them Vit D, they give them antipsychotics. The Sun is GOOD.

    Is that to protect the celery once it becomes hot outside?

  • @janiekaye8317

    @janiekaye8317

    8 ай бұрын

    It's to keep the stems away from the sun so they can't use the chlorophyll to turn green. This makes the stalks more tender. You definitely don't want to block light from the leaves as it needs the chlorophyll to feed the plant.

    Thanks for the video! I use celery for juicing. I drink it every morning as a tonic and its getting so expensive to buy in the store so I'm excited to see its very doable to grow in containers.

    Have tears of joy from your video here. As you played Jesu, Joy of Man's Desire a beautiful energy came to me legs & tingled to this song! Also using celery for juicing. The "Tango" variety of celery grows well in containers here in u.s. - Wisconsin. Sending you highest love!
