How to get better at basketball, FASTER. If you want to improve as a basketball player, here are 5 things you can do to see FAST improvement. If you want to get better this off-season you have to train smarter than your competition, here are a few ways you can improve your basketball workouts.
1: Split up your basketball workouts into multiple sessions, allowing you to be fresh, and also learn faster by allowing you to forget and relearn
2:Visualization, this has been proven to accelerate skill acquisition, and the best part it requires no physical effort.
3: Mid day naps, this allows you to better consolidate what you learned in the morning and then have a fresher mind to take in new information at a higher level, a 25 minute nap goes a long way.
4: Using defense in your workouts, don't wait till you master a skill to introduce defense, implement in the beginning, middle and end of the process to see quicker transfer from practice to games.
5: Film your workouts, studying film is crucial to learning as a player, but don't just film your games, film your workouts as well to see if you are doing things properly and making the correct decisions.

    Could you microdose shooting workouts? If so how? I’m not sure, but I was thinking that each micro workout would be different weaknesses in the shot ( like pull-ups, path flow, pickups,etc) and just learning them again everyday. Ex) 1. Ball pickups - 15 mins 2.break 3. Footwork - 15 minutes 4. Break 5. Full shooting workout - 60 minutes 6. Nap 7. (Some other skill) - 15 mins

    That is solid would depend on what you need to improve on. But 15 minutes of highly variable work on a specific skill like you mentioned

    So would a 45 minute workout by myself and then a 60 minute live workout where I’m playing 1v1 or 2v2 in the afternoon/ evening a good way to train?

    So if my workout is 60 mins maybe more, should i split it up into two workouts for the day or do the workout again later in the day?

  • @tjltraining

    @tjltraining

    25 күн бұрын

    Yeah would split it up if you have the ability too, allows you to learn more and also be more fresh, past 60 minutes going intense you’ll start to fall off focus wise
