    This was the best information for me as this is my first trip to Atlanta. I have viewed other videos which did not make me feel confident. These videos make me feel like I can do this now!

    I’m so glad I could provide this for you! Looks like I need to update this once the airport finishes making changes to keep helping others! And you will be fine at the airport. It’s big but pretty efficient. If you ever need help, look up at signs or ask an ATL NEXT employee! Safe travels!

    I appreciate the effort you put into these videos. A suggestion for a future video. Maybe you could do a video on the proper clothes to wear for flying. For example, flip-flops, crocs, open toe shoes are dangerous if there is any kind of accident. You dont want to be running for your life with bare feet! Also, high heeled shoes may have to be removed in you have to evacuate with the slides. Also, shorts, long short sleeved or sleeveless tops can expose you to injury. I worked for many years in the nuclear power industry and we emphasized that wearing clothes that exposes skin could result in injury. Nylon shorts and pants were a big no no. When exposed to heat/flame they will melt to your skin. Anyway, keep the great videos coming!

    This video is so helpful for anyone visiting this airport. Big airports can be so intimidating - so I always try to research the ones I'm visiting in advance. Will definitely refer back to this if I go to Atlanta. 275000 passengers a day is wild!! Nice to know about the shuttles and rental cars too.

    I’m glad you found this helpful! And yeah I don’t even realize the amount of people flying anymore since it’s my home airport. But when it’s a holiday, I feel it. Thanks for watching!

    This is so great! There is nothing worse than being in a city you've never been before, or you're not familiar with, and getting lost in the airport because the directions are not clear and posted up. Also, I remember how cool I thought it was when I was younger that ATL had the Marta. This was long before STL got the Metrolink which was many years ago lol

    Right! There is plenty of signage in the airport but I think people get wrapped up in the thoughts of what needs to be done instead of reading. And I was literally just looking up the Metrolink in STL for my upcoming trip! I didn't know STL had a metro rail line.

    This place is so massive. I wonder how it became the world's busiest airport. You'd think it would be somewhere in Asia or Istanbul. I like how in depth you go. Truly gives me a good idea on how to get around.

    From what I gathered, there are multiple variables that has caused it to be the busiest such as Delta Airlines is headquartered in Atlanta, the geographic location, costs and a great terminal layout. Thanks for watching!

If I'll ever be traveling to / from Georgia, I think it will be super easy for me navigate the airport there thanks to you :) The 2nd part of these series makes it so complete, even though the 1st video was so full of details too. Yes, you definitely have to read signs and that is for any airport. I remember a man coming up to me in JFK asking me how to get to terminal 4 and the sign was literally right above us. And yes!!! Let me know when you are headed here next year!

    I found that Atlanta airport was actually quite easy to navigate as long as you follow the signs and you know where you're coming from and where you're going to. When I had to make my connections back in June and September, it was easy as pie 🙂 My connections were from international to domestic and back again, as I'm Dutch, but as long as you follow the signage, you can't go wrong.

    Are there luggage carts available at the rental car center since we have 6 pieces of luggage to take to airport on the sky train?

    Hey! Sorry for the delay but you should be able to find luggage carts in the garage where you return your rental car. Or right outside of the building near the international terminal shuttle. But my only concern would be if they have been restocked or not with so much movement.

    So I won’t see airline names only letters?

  • @KitatheExplorer

    @KitatheExplorer

    8 ай бұрын

    To go to the terminals/concourses you will only see letters T, A, B, C, D, E and F. Once in the terminal/concourse, you will see gate numbers I.e. C18 which will be on your boarding pass. But you will see the airlines name and flight numbers at the gate once there. When at domestic baggage claim, you will follow signs for the airline. International baggage claim is all in the same area.
