How to Get a Wife - Bitange Ndemo

Prof Bitange Ndemo's father was an authoritarian man who ruled his home with an iron fist. As a young, naive boy, he believed his father was the ideal representation of the head of a home. Growing up, his own experiences with dating and marriage didn't quite go as expected. He humorously shares about meeting his wife and how this has shifted his mindset towards women, love and marriage. #Engage28 #ShiftHappens #EngageAtFive

My parents had a similar story. My dad who had schooled in the U.S. in the 60s went back home to look for a wife with the help of his Uncle. On one of their hunts stopped by a church spotted a young lady in the choir, coincidentally were invited to lunch at her uncles where she resided. Dad's uncle asked her uncle to talk to her. One week later he went to ask her dad to marry her and she left her homestead for Nairobi 2 days later. They married at the P.C Nairobi on arrival, got her passport and visa within the week and off they went to America! All this happened under 3 weeks!

I feel, to only chose to view the role the boychild plays in this in isolation, to be a rather inaccurate approach. I feel it would be important to appreciate the contextual differences between then and now. Weight we placed on things like love, genuine happiness, morals, virtues, character (among many other meaningful things), has since shifted to 'instant-coffee short-lived' things. Most girls (I use the quantifier most, because I still would like to believe that there are still some who aren't like that) would never look past the fact that you cannot take them out to any of those fancy eateries across the Nairobi Landscape (who's names I will not mention for obvious reasons) for dinner dates. The slightest sighting of 'greener pastures' would mark the beginning of the end for you as a 'boychild'. I was dating this lady a while back. I was in my final year at uni, and I somehow felt I was ripe for dating. We dated for around 7 months. And I'd like to believe that period of time I gave it my all. Towards the end, a loved one of hers was involved in a minor accident. During this trying period, I felt compelled to hold her hand and as a matter of urgency, I showed up at the hospital hoping that my visit would give her some sense of strength. She was really nasty. I have never before felt so shattered. A week later she reveals that her and one of her seniors at work....

Stop displaying your ignorance here .He was appointed in Jan 2019 as permanent secretary in the ministry of information and communication .His job is marketing Kenya as a destination for business processing outsourcing. Now u know

Just correction, was appointed by Kibaki government to cabinet and wasn't during Jubileee party; Jubilee just came after Kibaki, while Matiangi was appointed by Uhuru... So different parties and different governments. Secondly, he was in IT/communication ministry while Matiangi started in Education; and now Security. I do not see either as a sacrifice of other as both still would have been appointed at same time

Paul Jos I welcome your information, and i was wrong all I didn’t like in the guy above is insults, when, it comes to calling guys names, i can do it big time, someone just can’t rectify me without throwing tribal tantrums simply because we have a Jubilee in power now, any criticism to the regime is bad to him.
