Great video. THANK YOU. I've watched your draw on many of your videos, and the camera angle always shows the back of your right hand as you draw. It is very difficult to see your right THUMB position and movement. When you snatch the gun from the holster, are you gripping it with just 4 fingers and pulling it out, or do you fully grip it with all fingers (including your right thumb)? Does your right thumb point at the ejection port on first contact, or does your right thumb point more skyward? How does your right thumb move after you engage your left hand? Seeing your draw (slo-motion) with the camera on your left front side would be most appreciated. THANK YOU for your great videos! Robert

It helps to have a holster that holds your gun away from your body and has a fairly low front that does not protect your rear sight. Also no straps: I believe the retention is the type with a button on the side you must press with the trigger finger as you get your grip or it is simply friction retention. The rig is good for a range with no restrictions. This is not an E D C friendly getup. Might be good for a security officer while on duty. Great for a range rig in say some type of competition.

  • @raypennington8355

I understand that the youtube individual wanted to show different ways to aim and adjust due to weather or gun example of shooting a round of ammo to show example and on point of adjusting his aim and making different angle or reacting due to wind and different levels of time and day and actions needed to do a better outcome or final result due to weather conditions and safety warnings or watches. So if there is a tornado warning, would anybody decide to go shoot or practice shooting a weapon firearm while risking your safety and your life, because of your urge to practice shooting because of current life threatening moments and you have to perfectly make and master your aiming /perfect shots firing your weapon before the bad guys have a free moment to do it and take your life away from your loved ones

If I were putting money on it, its double action. Can't be sure 100%, but I saw he was in the comments so hopefully he can tell us for sure. I've wondered about cocking the hammer on draw on my 226, or cocking it in the holster before the draw. I've got a stock hammer spring/trigger weight, and I think it's heavy enough to be safe. I've dropped it cocked with a snapcap from head height onto carpet (far cry from concrete, but I like my gun) and it hasn't dropped the hammer yet. Wonder what the RSO would say if I tried it at a match

  • @jado4149

His set up here is similar to current issue duty gear. Adding another holster retention level might add 0.10 seconds or so. Using "full on race gear" instead might help shave 0.10 seconds. The difference between "regular" gear and "full race" gear is about 10%.
