Hello, first off, thank you for all the great info. Second, I was born in colombia and came to the US when u was 7 where i will next year finish high school(I have my green card and will get citizenship in 2-3 years). I have been looking like crazy for undergrad scholarships in germany but everything i've found so far is for masters, phd and research. I will be taking my ielts exam to prove my proficiency and will have a BUNCH of extracurriculars my senior year. Where could i find something?

Hey there, undergraduate scholarships are indeed much more difficult to find. If there aren't any foundation scholarships for bachelor's students currently, I would also consider applying for the Deutschlandstipendium. However, you probably need to be studying in Germany already to apply for it, and it will not be enough to finance everything since it's only 300 euros a month. Other than that, you can also look into whether some universities in Germany offer scholarships to their students. This hugely depends on your major and which university you are going to, but there is still a chance. Also, you probably know that studying in Germany is mostly free for everyone; you only need to pay a small semester fee, which is between 50 and 300 euros per semester. This means that it's also manageable to finance yourself by working part-time, especially if you go to an affordable university city. Mybe that would be an option for you as well? Students in Germany usually finance themselves from a combination of sources (part-time job, parents' support, loan or sholarship)

Is there any block account requirements in these scholarships?

No, if you get the scholarship, your finances are being taken care of, so you don't need a blocked account. At leats that's how it was in my case

Yes, the political foundation scholarships should be still open. I talk about these foundations in this video kzread.info/dash/bejne/gIuJlq6rh8uphco.html Konrad Adenauer Foundation, for example, has deadline on July, 15. Here is their website www.kas.de/en/web/begabtenfoerderung-und-kultur/auslaenderfoerderung Also you might want to check when the DAAD scholarships deadline is for your country 😊

I will put it on my video ideas list 😊 But if you need a quick tip, I would look at two factors: 1) what university ranks high in the field that you want to study. 2) What city you would like to live in ( in terms of living costs, the size of the city, etc.)
