That's how it always happens though. Guys get excited and enthusiastic and say and do stuff then suddenly want to back track and pretend like nothing happened and erase the past. All guys do that. I'm just sitting here same as day one. He is going hot cold up down emotionally. Trick is to not let any of it affect you. Don't get happy when he is into you or down when he pulls away.

Yes yes this is right. Once he knows you got standards you not willing to bend they measure upto it. It's really about how much shit you're willing to slide lol. Sometimes you can feel that they're nearly there with the commitment and in that case maybe it's okay to give them SOME time but stating clearly what YOU want (a relationship/marriage etc) sets the stage for you and makes you powerful. It's like-this is what I want and if you're not giving it to me I'll just find it somewhere else coz I got OPTIONS honey 💁🏻‍♀️

I know!

The only problem I have with what he said is that no guy has ever directly said they don't want a relationship to a girl who wants more than just sex, they always give indirect answers like "it could lead there" "eventually" or "let's just see where it goes". My point is most guys beat around the bush knowing that it will never become a relationship and knowing the girl will leave when he states that. so girls stick around because they hold out hope. I'd like to see a video explaining how to react to those types of neutral comments from men because sometimes they truly mean it and you can end up in a relationship with that guy and other times it's a player telling you enough to keep you interested.

Thank you for the video Elliott. I think self-analysis is critical. Also, guys can sense or see when a woman is not fulfilled or not pursuing something she loves. And is looking to him to make her happy. Fill a void in some cases. Maybe that's the pressure guys pick up on. I mention this because I've felt it from guys who were in such a rush to be in a committed relationship and I've done the same to other guys that I really really liked. It's when I started doing the inner work. Facing my issues, worked to resolve them, learned self-love(which is on-going). Really found what makes me happy minus a guy, that things began to change.

Yep, you've gotta be firm and clear with what you want. Unfortunately, I let it all be about him and his crap for too long. I thought things were great, we hardly ever fought, had a great time. He didn't see it that way. He had his cake and icing too and wanted it to go on and on and on. After 5 years, my shock that we weren't on the same page. So I would say after a year at the most lay it on the line so that he doesn't start to take you for granted. That's what happened in my situation. I thought because we didn't fight that everything was so great; no. He was avoiding things, and I unknowingly let this go on for 5 years. After 1 year, lay it on the line or he may start to take you for granted.

SO I don't know if this is one of these situations I'm pretty new to this. In uni I made some friends and one happened to be a guy that I now have a slight crush on. (btw we live in the same residence). When we were still getting to know each other he would compliment me, always tease me in a joking and I would tease him back, put his arm around me randomly, and would lean on me when we sat next to each other. He and my roommate became friends, so he liked coming over to our room just to hang out. He even invited me to his room and asked me to walk with him to the bus when we were going home for reading week. My roommate and another friend even asked if there was something going on between us. But after reading week he was being different. He kept pointing out girls he found hot in front of me, stopped complimenting me and his jokes were becoming slightly rude which I pointed out to him. At one point he had said he had a crush on a girl but he never did anything about it and now recently says he gave up on her. Now there's a new addition to our friend group that is another girl and he's been hanging out with her more than he has with me. What do you think I should do?

I totally agree with you. Society has ruined relationships by telling women it’s their God given right to shame a man because he didn’t act the way the woman thought he ought to behave. Wtf. How about some self reflection ladies...maybe show some respect and let him ease into feeling comfortable with you and letting his attraction deepen for you by you not trying to steer the relationship as quickly as possible to your secure zone. Where you feel safe, got this relationship where I want it...it takes the fun uncertain insecure where this is going early part out of it...embrace that early part. You’ll look back on it as fun.
