Useful lesson, as always, Emma! You know, what I appreciate of your lessons more is that IMHO your suggestions go beyond the mere study of English language. They're wider. Especially for what concerns student's behaviours. Speaking about creating habits, we often say "I have no time for this", because of work, family, hobbies, whatever... There is exactly where we have to change our mind! Getting out of the comfort zone IS the key. Hard but true. If you want to get something you never had, you have to do something you never did. Thanks, especially for your (indirect) motivational coaching too! ;-)

sometimes people tend to speak too clearly and put stress on wrong syllables in words listen to lots of podcast from native speakers and see whch syllable they stress in each word and also the same syllable may not be stressed even its in the same word listen to each word in different contexts some people mix many accents together so if you are aiming for american you should be properly pronouncing r on all your words and domt frequently switch

I am myself was born and raised in America we have so many different accents from state to state and then you add all the different languages with their different dialects but we all pretty much accept each other as far as our English yes I know I'm just definitely from the south but and my husband was born here but his family from Mexico and they would tell him his Spanish was bad because he spoke slower than they did to me it doesn't matter in the way you wrote everything out to me it was perfect but I know you're focusing on the accents so best of luck to you I apologize for any mistakes I have made in my speech I use my microphone on my phone to talk so sometimes it make that sound like I'm saying something else

Hi ! I'm gonna follow your advice in a hope to sound better while speaking English. I'm french and I struggle with the "r" letter. It's really important to me because I'm working at Disneyland Paris and we have a lot of guests who don't speak French. And actually some of our guests from England and the US find my french flavored english accent hard to understand. Also, I'm not always confident enough to try an English accent while speaking because I feel fake. I don't know if I'm explaining this correctly.

Hi Emma!! Great video as always!! Thank you very much for these kind of tips. Right now, I'm working hard on every part in the process to learn the English idiom. But one of my biggest challenges is 'PRONUNCIATION' My accent sounds too spanish (my native language). So I'm putting special emphasis in the pronunciation, as you say 'practice' is the clue and I agree with you. Keep doing such a wonderful job!! PD: thank you for taking part of you valuable time to reply the messages of your followers. You are a great person.

But your attitude will help you to get through the worst of it. "every cloud has a silver lining" - I'm glad you are making the most of your time to practice!
