Would you be allowed to share your sociology notes? I’m doing CAPE Sociology, but a google drive I would use has restricted access now and an amazing KZreadr I’d watch private his videos. Now I have to rely on A level videos, when I’m in a different region 🤦‍♀️

for sociology did you make your own notes or only used textbook to memorise?

Because the textbook I mentioned in the video had condensed notes, I only needed to use it to memorise. But with learning the information for the first time, I would take notes from the textbook to understand what I was learning.

@@amishakhan8276 yes you can. Remember to use active revision techniques to memorise the information e.g blurting, making questions/ flashcards etc.

im new to gcse and im not sure how i can use key terms so like do i need to know understand the meaning behind the terms?

yess! and once you're familiar with what they mean, make it a regular practice to use them in your answers when relevant

So if i memorise and understand all the info the Collins 1 in 3 textbook has i can aim to a 7 now being on a 4ish grade ?

yes you can. Make sure to practice how to answer each type question so you know how to apply what your have learnt.

@@GCSEsMotivation-re8kg For 4 markers, I guess it does depend on the question. Usually the best thing to do is to define key words/explain what a sociologist perspective is and then give a valid example and then link it back to the question. 12 markers, I personally do a mini plan at the top about what I am going to say before answering it. I usually include key sociologists( both the main and specific ones) and talk about a study they did that relates to the question and link it back to how it proves my point ( of agreeing/disagreeing). Debating 2 points in detail should be good.I also once again use key terminology and define key words and include concepts (e.g the glass ceiling theory) which could also support my answer. Also, include a non biased conclusion which takes into consideration your points. I would say 18 min for each 12 markers should be okay. You might have seen already, but I included a link in the description of a document which is really helpful for if you do gsce sociology.
