Another KZreadr said the same thing. Quantity over quality. Actually, when you think about it, you only get quality by doing quantity. It's a natural kaizen thing. I'm only 2 months in, have uploaded around thirty videos and the quality in all aspects are worlds apart from the first to the last. And there's certainly room for improvement. Spot on... thanks for the amazing tips!

hey just got a question, my watch hours when i go to the monitization tab is 3 hours but when i go to the analytics tab it t tells me i have 131 hours in the last 28 days can you help im very confused

Im halfway to 4000 hours and am about 7 months in to restarting my channel. My advice is stay consistent and keep trying to be better and more natural behind the camera. Not a lot of the KZread points work great for me, since I am an Automotive channel but keep posting and make sure its engaging. WE have grown so much in the 7 months. We just need the extra bump in hours and we will be at that point of getting paid.

Getting 4000 watch hours honestly takes a lot of work. Joining and building communities, spending few bucks for advertisement and staying active in forums of same topics/interest are just among the examples. Consider yourself lucky if you create a video that would go viral. The span takes before reaching the top will depend on your content. It took me more than a year to get monetized. That's year of hardwork. Good luck for new creators 👍

I have another youtube channel where I upload videos and in the last months, for reason I don't know, my videos get a lot of views everyday, more people search about them etc... However, I have not uploaded since October 2020 (I do it as hobby, not consistently like say every 1 month... I upload when I want to) But since it's been a long time, I want now to upload. Will uploading this (similar) video to the others distract them from getting more and more views every day? Will it cause drop on my overall views? Vidiq, when I installed your tools and joined your subscription I went from 0 hours watched to 20 hours. 10 subscriber to 34 and from just a 120 views to 3k views. For a tiny channel. That’s beyond any goal I had set so far. Everything smashed! And new goals set. Thank you!

Please, I have a channel that is already 10 months old and is nowhere near monetization. Can my channel stay be monetize after the 12 months period or is a must that a new channel has to work within the 12 months period?

I got monetized after 40 days since my first video, got 1k subs on the 25th day. The moment I got my first pay, it was exhilarating. Sub counts have been increasing by the hundreds each day, and I was already making calculations as to how and WHEN my channel would be a bigger chunk of my passive income. As a monetized youtube creator. It has been amazing to be paid by youtube advertizers. But the real kicker was I didn't realize how much my audiance Valued my content. Like I love my content and every day i wanna make it better. For my new "series" I'll be testing what Dan said with episode numbers and leave them off thumbnails put the vid in a playlist and see how my core audiance responds. It gives me a whole new outlook on youtube but in a positive way. But I think its large part to having 0 expectations going in. I love what i do being paid or not so to me its just a bonus cause id still be doing it paid or not

I have found for my content in order to get 50% Average view duration if my videos are about 20-25 minutes thats the sweet spot but i am a poketuber so it makes a big difference

I like how in your video, you have the part at the very end giving some "rhetorical questions" and they actually are really meaningful.

You guys get to the point and the videos are clear.

We used many of these and were able to get 4000 hours of watch time in a little over 3 months after starting our channel (one of our other channels - still growing this one). Contrast that to our first channel that took us 3 years! to get the hour requirement. The reason I keep coming back is because I always learn something new or something old but in a new way. Thank you for all these tips.

When I first started my KZread channel; I tended to doubt myself throughout the first few videos, but as I started being more consistent with my videos, my subscribes started to raise tremendously. Thanks for the extra tips your provided in your video

Question for my Vid IQ fam. So let’s say today for instance my best time to post is between 12pm to 2pm but the video I want to post is about something happening today. Content that dropped in one of the games I play. There was no way I could’ve gotten the video in time. Now should I post now? Or wait tomorrow to post during the best time to post? I feel like the sooner the better with this type of content. Am I wrong?

Does the 4000 watch hours gets counted from the first video we uploaded or from the day we started the channel?

I'm still new to thins thing of KZread. I'm still struggling, but I keep watching videos that will guide me throughout my journey.

I wish I properly understood this kind of stuff when I first started out. I was so obsessed with perfection and making videos "digestible" I physically couldn't do consistency. For me, it came from a place of insecurity, sure it led to some really good editing skills, but it made uploading an "event" and scary. Recently my subscribers made a fan discord for me and after talking to them I realized they just genuinely want to see more of me, whether it's with the bells and whistles of editing or not and I couldn't be more grateful. I also really like the format of this video, its like you clickbait people into good advice by telling them directly that uploading isn't about "watch hours" I just truly didn't understand what watch hours were lmfaooo

I heard putting your video on youtube ads and Google ads do not count for monetization, is that true?

My husband was able to monetize quite quickly, about 6 months from the 1st video. He happened to fall into some of these tips without realizing, so I know the tips given here are awesome. Evergreen content is so key. We had some of his videos go wild over Christmas out of the blue so that was pretty nice. I'm starting to build my own channel and I'm keeping these tips in mind. Consistency is key, you never know what will hit months down the road. Thanks for the helpful video!

So what ur telling me is that your lucky? Doesn’t rlly matter how good the video is, KZread controls who sees the videos. If you’re lucky then you’ll get popular “CD animation” is a good example of what I’m saying, amazing quality but only 700 subs

I finally started up my KZread channel after debating for years! I really felt that I didn’t have the drive to do it and motivate my audience but I started to promote my socials and inspire others which is why I created a channel. This video helped so much and I agree it’s quantity over quality! So excited for this journey.

Got a question for you. If i watched a 4hr video at X2 speed would it count as 4hrs watched or 2hrs watched?

To be honest, that was a lot more money than I thought for 1000 subs and 4000 watch hours. However: It's not about the gold, it's about the glory!

I'm just a month old youtuber and been learning a lot...not so good in editing everything is so awkward but I'm determined to improve my weaknesses. Thank you for all the tips in here. Sure I want to be monetized soon working on it.
