How to Geometry Track ANYTHING in Blender

Let's learn the fastest and easiest way to track geometry inside of blender. This beginner Visual Effects tutorial will go over all the basics of geometry tracking and will get a result that looks realistic. I'm providing you all the tools and knowledge you need to know in order to track any object all inside of blender. This tutorial will not cover the entire compositing process or the exact steps I used in order to get my shot, but it's a great step for any blender user on their journey to making amazing visual effects all inside of blender. I used Nuke in order to composite my final shot and made a ton of tweaks in blender to get a realistic result.

They have a node locked non commercial version for learning purposes but the full version is a paid subscription

Still in beta so it not need any subscription now, but in future definitely it need subscription

@@caboom1683 I tried looking through documentation and everything but I couldn’t find anything in the license that says it is a month trial. I believe it’s a beta version that they eventually plan to release for a price. Also since I’m not using this as a studio or freelance artist it’s totally fine to use. Maybe I missed something so let me know!

Geo trackers alright but very very un usable for big projects but thank for the video champ! but blenders Tracking is the worst n the planet you can use this addon in Aftereffects instead

i don`t understand why is everyone ok to additionally model the object to track. It`s like an additional work

Honestly when we model out stuff to track it’s usually either because the model is super easy to model or because no other forms of tracking can get good results without also covering everything in markers. In this case the only other way I could track my dog is to put tracking markers on her face and then have to go through the hassle of removing them or getting a bad track altogether. Also most of the times when you’re object tracking, you’re going to have to model out the thing regardless if you want a shadow catcher or it to react with other things in the shot. Honestly a relatively quick and easy thing to do considering a lot of other more time consuming vfx workflows. Hope this helps!

Honestly I don't know the best method to do both at the same time. I'd recommend having two seperate projects for the 2 and see if that helps!
