Inspiring VFX artists and pushing the limits of Visual Effects learning on KZread
This channel is dedicated to tutorials and learning for Blender and other Visual Effects programs. I have videos for all ranges of artist from beginner friendly VFX content to more advanced level visual effects shots. Blender is the main focus of this channel however I constantly showcase other programs that might be more suited to the task. Some programs might include After Effects, Nuke, Davinci Resolve, C4D and more! Please let me know what you would like to see on the channel and I just might be able to do it!

WAAAAAY too fast...think about the learners...
all of this just because I don't want to spend 300€ on Resolve Studio
is there any other way to export the track? (write geo node is disabled in non comercial... :/
Sorry write geo is a full feature only node. I'd recommend Blender if you want decent free camera tracking
@@Jacob_Zirkle yea, got resolve studio tho, will try fusion tracking too... amazing videos dude!
thankuuuu, guys for those who dont know, nuke is free, im doing blender since almost 2 years and was today years old i figured out NukeX can be used free non comercial, same with houdini, damnnn thats wayyy not enough comunitcated in the 3D comunities, i bet 80% of blender users think they have to pay 5k to use nuke and houdini...
Question: have you ever done any vfx tutorial all in blender without After Effects or fspy. If so please send me link. thank you 😊
Sorry most of those video are super old by now and don't apply to new versions of blender. Let me ask you a question though. Why just stick with blender. There are other free programs out there that you can use in combination with blender that can give you better results than just using Blender ever can. Davinci resolve for compositing and coloring, blender for CGI etc.
Absolutely, that's a good advice @jacob_zirkle
@@Jacob_Zirkle Thanks a lot
hi wsg jacob i want to start working as a VFX artist but idk how to start but then i saw ur course is it capable of taking me from a complete beginner to someone who can work as a VFX artist
I'm going to say no simply because any course isn't going to give you that. My course and other courses are designed to teach you all of the technical aspects of the programs by following along with step by step instructions. I do talk about VFX concepts and theories when they arise, but in my opinion, courses don't make a good VFX artist since anyone can follow instructions. I'd recommend to use either my course or what ever course you decide to go with as a foundation and then from there that's were you have to do your own work. It's really the repetition and ability to problem solve with a creative eye that makes a stand out artist. It sounds cliche but it really is the artist that matters more than the technical knowledge if that makes sense. Not try to scare you or undersell the importance of learning a program, but people neglect to spend the time working on multiple of their own work and rely too heavily on courses to be the solution. Hope that helps and I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have!
@@Jacob_Zirkle tysm man as a video editor i 100% agree with that cuz its very similar to editors asw tysm again 🙏

So many awesome tips in here! Syntheyes and Kitbash Cargo are two things I didn't know existed! Awesome video Jacob!!
Syntheyes is a massive game changer It's stepped by tracking to new levels.
"render over night" how much frames was this shot? And how long would this take to render? You forgot to present your final result animation?
I believe there were 149 frames to render and each took about 2 minutes per frame so about 5 hours total which is decent considering volumetrics and a ton of geometry. Also you're right I should've shown it again at the end but it's in the start in case you want to see it in motion

How to enable 3d track points 🤧🤧😭
Probably won't get answered, but I did all of the steps and my objects that I placed on my paper won't render. Every time I render an image nothing but my base video shows up. I've checked my composition tab and my rendered layers node says that it's targeting the foreground group, but nothing ever appears. What should I do?
Check the video editing tab. Could be that you still have footage in there and it will overwrite the final render. Just delete the clip in the timeline. Also make sure you're combining the two layers with an alpha over node in compositing
10-25% for PNG compression is normally pretty good. Once you start getting too high, the compression will take longer than the render would.
liked & subscribed! thank you for this great video, it was very helpful!
thank you for this
also for adobe AI firefly video, you can add the grass in 5 seconds. Its not out yet but its coming out this year. Will you make a video about it too?

So what we see on television not real ? It s just a video ?
Which camera tracking method do you like the most, After Effects, Blender, or maybe fSpy?
Will you make a tutorial using environmental movement, like a sidewalk collapsing or something like that? I would really love to see it
I really think you should be saying you're using a paid tool upfront. Less people would be interested in watching, but it's the right thing to do
Looks real until the illusion is ruined by the train sliding out of existence on theright.
Yeah, I couldn't fix the fish eye effect in the footage.
