How To Gain Attention For Releasing New Music | Music Marketing Secrets
When trying to figure out how to release new music it can feel pointless when no one is listening to the music we've already put out. You tried to figure out music marketing, but you're still not getting streams, you're not getting booked at the venues you want, and the money just isn't coming in. When we have all this new unreleased music in the vault it can be frustrating not knowing how to successfully launch it and get peoples attention. The last thing we want is to release our best work and no one care. Well this is something that we all have to face at one point in our career, but luckily I know of an extremely simple way of gaining attention as you release new music that will grow your fan base and give you the momentum you've been dreaming of. Not everyone can do this though. Can you?

I can’t stress enough how important promotion is. I don’t get how people just drop content and they expect people to care. You need to document, plan, and build hype. It goes so much deeper than that of course, but in my experience, that’s like 50% of the battle.

STARGAZIN' showcases, anything local to build momentum . Touring is huge but go locally before you do that . Do showcases in your state

Its the illusion that you're music is so good that everybody will spread the word about how great you are and a music label will discover and sign u. For years i made this stupid nieve mistake for years.

Time money ratio! Yeah! And thank you for this!!! I have a video that I’ve been waiting to release!! Omg thank you for talking me out of that!!!!
Man, thanks so much for these videos. I've been in a bit of a rut the past several months. I released my debut single over the summer and I'm just now releasing my second. There was a huge hiccup because of depression, punches that life throws at you, and constant self-comparison. I'm a dude that totally amplifies any bad thing that happens to me, so I let it get the best of me. It's something I'm working on, and I'm still not in a great place. BUT, having this new single come out soon, and watching your videos has totally motivated me. It took literally every ounce of me to actually admit the fact that I wanted to pursue an endeavor in the music world, and little did I know how easily I could tear myself apart on the inside so easily. So thank you.
Thank you Adam! You come through right on time, everytime with such valuable info and motivation! You are appreciated! 🙏🏽👊🏽💙
very powerful video!!! really inspired me!!
This is like the 5th video I've watched of yours (I just discovered you) and it is motivating me to keep continuing putting in all I can to get to get to where I want to be with my music. Your videos have also made me realize that I am not only an artist but I am also a brand. I really love your content! Your videos are not only informal also, inspirational as well. Thank you for passing down all these gems!
Love u bro, ur content is very uplifting, and positive. You give everyone motivation, and it’s all for real. Thanks a lot man.
Definitely on point and yes! Success is earned. I was definitely the person you say in the video... I was doing most of the work, but holding off my 'best' to release when I had momentum. A year later some is dated, it doesn't accurately represent me currently... but I hit the road touring and performing for a year, across the USA and Australia. No Manager, no label, just hard work, trying to 'make it'. Truth? The delay gave me time on the road to really think about why I am doing this. What I want, what I want to represent, and how I want to share it. Don't rush without making strategic REAL decisions... but don't delay your dreams, to wait on a pipedream. If you want to release material you have sat on - do it! But first, figure out a marketing and release strategy around it, and release over a couple months or year. Figure out your goals, and work backward seeing the steps and milestones you need to reach to get it, using your release, videos, tours, everything as a means to grow your fanbase strategically, while becoming better at everything you do each time. From playing and writing, to marketing and running your business, accept you will suck, but get better everytime Also, Rarely is anyone willing to back and help someone, if they aren't willing to put in the work to help themselves... never forget that if someone else makes your career, they may own you and your career, or at least entailed to the majority of your income, because it wouldn't exist without their work. I know indie artists that manage their own business careers and play bars, that make more than friends who have a record deal and play arenas but make way less with more limits on decisions.
Watching your vids have helped me tremendously! Your advice is one in a million and I've watched several other channels on the same topics and your advice soars miles over what they talk about. Great job!
Love your videos man! you're a very inspirational dude, and its awesome to see the genuine videos you make. Keep up the great work! Consistency is always key.
Great advice man, I'm just getting into all this and am tracking guitars right now for the material I've written. So thank you!
Discovered your channel today as subbed but here I am about an hour later happily receiving all this awesome advice ! So stoked!
Damn that dude really gets you out of your little hole where you doubt yourself and motivates you to go for it!!
This is exactly the advice I needed, thank you!
True words of wisdom! Thank you for the great advice. I'll definitely be applying what I learned to my own music/content!
This was much needed bro thanks for all the gems!!!
Hi Adam, I've been following you for a few weeks now and I just wanted to say thank you for these videos... like many, I've been left with next to nothing after covid and am just starting to get gigs in again in the UK... Every one of your videos I've seen so far has left me with something, whether it be a huge chunk of knowledge or just motivation for the day ahead... so cheers and keep 'em comming!
I love your videos Adam! Thank you so much for the dynamite content. There’s so much gold here❤️
You’re a one off Adam. I watch you for your humour 😂 fabulous
Hey Adam! Firstly I want to say thankyou for the great advice, and helping to put things in perspective. 2nd I love how laid back and unedited this is, you are so relatable or likeable and real and everyone can see that in that video, like how u sometimes go on tangents for a lil bit haha. Anyways keep doing what ur doing man! You’re providing a lot of value to me and I’m learning so much. God bless🙌🏾
I love looking over you're older videos as there is always a hidden gem in there. You're videos really help with the bigger questions regarding music marketing.
Bro. You was being honest. That what I needed personally. Thanks man
Needed to hear this!! Thankz bro keep making videos
You’re such a help!! Thankyou so much😭✨✨🙏🏾
Love all the new content, Adam! It's always a great listen :D
Love it ❤❤ keep doing the good work
Great content Adam! I’m around the 5 year mark rn, introverted AF, but I’m making great music that people around me are enjoying and sharing. Your videos are a kick in the pants for me to start working harder on my business side of things instead of just being depressed about not being where I want to be! Thanks again!
Your great bro, your videos have changed my perspective and will change my life, stay tuned Adam!!
Thank you for the consistent videos big bro. Always coming in clutch with the consistent content. 🙏🏻 I think it'd be a hoot to see a manager video after now seeing this one. 😂✌
The passion in this video is an amazing departure from the typical delivery. Put a smile on my face, man. Keep it comin'.. Thanks so much for all of your content - it's my go-to as I learn this new techniques.
Great info Adam..keep it coming sir...thank you
You really helped man and I appreciate this video. Thanks you, just subscribed
Great video man, I really needed to hear this, thankyou!! :)
Very inspiring and powerful advice...thanks AI
Very valuable information given! Thank you! 🙏🏾
Some great advice here. I always experiment and try and figure out what ways generate the best results when I release my DJ mixes. The most effective strategies for me were the ones where I actually got out of my comfort zone and reached out to individual people to listen and share my mixes. Even asking my more extroverted friends to spread the word. Keep up the great content!
This is brilliant, thank you Adam!
I love your channel, you always bring it and you talk truth and facts.
great videos!! keep uploading. videos keep getting better and better
Very well said Adam! I love the rants btw, it shows how passionate you are about the topic!
Dope video ! I needed this, not necessarily because I keep stuff in my “vault” but because it’s good to hear to help me keep my drive on being consistent 💯

Totally makes sense! Great, informative video.
I like how organic this is, I can tell you have a lot of experience in this, MadLove from JERSEY!
Thanks man... this has been very helpful and encouraging
I appreciate all your videos and your genuine personality. I especially found the tip of continuing to produce and put out new material useful. I am beginning a campaign of doing one single a week. I am usually very perfectionistic and self-effacing about my work, but if I am on a schedule I don't have time for self-doubt. I'll see how it goes.
Listen bro, you’ve smacked me in the face with all these profoundly simple instructions!! I needed this! Thank you brother!!!
You’re bringing so much value to the up and coming community
All of this makes sense. Thank you Adam 💜
Everything you speak about is important topics & just shows naturally your committed too sharing your knowledge.
