Maybe it's because I'm older, but I disagree on ignoring or pretending like you didn't know someone in your friend circle has feelings for you. I've been in this situation. A guy confessed his feelings for me by instant message, and I felt it was only fair that I deal with it right then. I let him know that I only saw him as a friend and couldn't share his affection. He accepted and we agreed to remain friends. The younger generation is becoming less sincere in showing their feelings or taking responsibility for how they treat each other. Don't make someone think they're crazy for liking you. You can be flattered and still let them know, as gently as possible, that you don't feel the same way. Yes, it will hurt their feelings, but if they are mature, they will understand and get over it. Your friendship might be awkward for a little while, but in time, both of you will move past it if you really care about the friendship. People don't know how to ask you out, or break up with you with any decency anymore. They expect you to "get the hint" rather than being direct and telling the truth, and it really annoys me. But they can call you the nastiest hurtful things to your face with ease. There is a valuable lesson in learning how to treat someone the way you want to be treated. Don't be a coward. Say how you feel and accept the response. There's nothing wrong with liking someone, and nothing wrong with Not have the same feelings for them. It's part of being human, and growing up.

EmpressB7 So recently last Friday there was this kid that was in my class that I had only talked to twice in this whole year. I just had never talked to this person ever, and so this person came up to me last Friday after a presentation at school. He then just asked me if he could get to know me better, and I must have let any common sense I had wash away because I said sure. Because My dumbass thought that “maybe he just wanted to be friends.” But obviously that wasn’t the case. So I texted him and we talked for a bit, But not 10 minutes into the conversation and he started to ask if I wanted to hang out. I quickly thought about how I didn’t want to be rude, and that maybe it was just a friend thing not wanting to assume so I said yes. But the more I thought about it the more I realized, yeah this guy wants to be more then friends. The thing is I barely know this guy PLUS I have a girlfriend- so this was looking really bad for me, so I tried to say that I couldn’t go because my mom needed me. But he was persistent and intended to hang out with me even asking me to hang on a Monday- I was at my wits end I didn’t know what to do, ssssoooo....I ignored him for two days in a fit of embarrassment and not wanting to be “mean” or not wanting to “assume” that anyone would like me- But I replied after that and told him the truth, he seemed ok with it but I’m really scared to go to school. I don’t want it to be anymore awkward then it already is..I should have just said something earlier instead of freaking out and “not wanting to assume” anything. I was just scared he would think less of me for just assuming, and that it was just rude. But yeah idk what to do now...he’s in my class and I’m scared to even look at him- I’m too awkward about these things. ((Sorry for the long comment! ;n; ))

Its easy when you meet some one explain, no matter how much years we are friends, we can not date. If one of us has feelings for the other. We will tell that person, and agree if the other person does not feel that way, to redpect their decision. Make an effort to stay friends. They act wierd, limit the time you spend with them. I have had friends, who say right away, if you become friends with her, just know, she won't date you. If I like a friend, I keep it in. My friendship is more important, great video 😆😆😆😆😆

Ok so I dated this guy, and he really fell for me I guess. He started treating me like an object or his “property” and I pulled the plug. This was when we were both very immature. Well pretty recently, we became friends again and he told me that he was willing to wait for me and that he was never over me. He has been really nice about it, but I’m not interested. Be real and authentic, tell him you are not interested in him, and that you are sorry and you didn't no how else to put him down. Be nice, but also real and make sure to do it when you feel safe, no telling how ppl will take rejection now a days.
