I found your video because i have two scaredy cats but I know Bengals are quite vocal. To hear they didn't make too much noise during the flight was reassuring. 3 hours of meowing wouldn't be fun. Thanks for this!

This is very helpful, soon to travel with my cat in a 7 hour flight, I have been harness training him, he uses his carrier all the time but when I take him on short car rides, he freaks and screens all the way, I am really nervous but hope for the best. Thanks a lot ❤️

Your video about traveling with cats on an airplane was thorough & an eye opener! I’ve two spayed indoor female short hair cats. One is three years old by the name of Bambolina, & the other is two years old by the name of Valentina. I’m a retired Teacher originally from Italy, but have lived in USA from the age of 13. Lately, I’ve been seriously considering moving back to Italy 🇮🇹 for many reasons. My felines are my life, & after having viewed your video I’m not sure I would want to put them through the dramatic travel ordeal. Having said that, I could never in a million years re-home them! I own my own home, & my fur babies spend their days on the enclosed pet screened deck! Conversely, they have never been outdoors. Thank you!

I 💯 appreciate your time creating this video💕 I am considering an international relocation from California to Mexico, and the very stressful element of flying there is how to do it with my kitty! Thank you for appreciating that cats are unique. A lot of the flying with pets videos are really more geared towards dogs and not that relevant to cats. Again, thank you so much. Hello! I’m travelling with two cats as well. My cats love the carrier to the point that they sleep during the day inside, but the moment I close the door they start getting anxious and nervous.

That's fair, and unfortunately that's how my cats were too, since they knew a closed carrier meant we're going somewhere. You'll just have to keep talking to them and putting your hand inside to pet them when you can, or whatever else you think will help

I will be going on an 18 hour intercontinental flight with my two cats at the end of this month and I'm super stressed out and worried about how they'll do. I really hope all goes well and I can't wait to be on the other side of the world with them, safe and sound. Thank you for your video! I'm definitely going to use some of your tips, particularly the tips about the harness and getting them used to the carrier. It's going to be a huge challenge and adventure to say the least.

Thank you for this! I heard American Airlines sometimes denies pet at the gate. But that was a year ago. Hopefully Delta is still totally fine with it.

That is stupid, , what do they expect a person to do, leave their pets behind. Do not think so. If they say you are allowed a pet and you have called and said so and have all the papers, then to deny at gate is SORRY but honestly just mean.

Just fyi, I bought the ticket for my cat on Allegiant on the website like additional luggage well in advance. Great video!!!

In a month or two I’m about to fly from the uk to Canada with two extremely anxious cats, I’m still to speak to my vet about medication but I think it will be a must for them. Especially one who no matter what always has an accident when we are taking her places. We have tried not feeding her but she will either poo or just vomit either way. I’m hoping sedatives can keep her more at ease and that she can just sleep through the flight.

Thankyou for a very helpful video. My Juni (she's the avatar photo) is a Savanah who travels well in the car, is quite sociable (most of the time) yet can be very unpredictable with the wild cat strain in her. She loves getting in her back pack when we go shopping, walking or to restaurants that will accept us. Hopefully her breed is acceptable to the airlines.

@@EshiJay She's been my constant companion for almost 6 years now since my wife died. She's been a gift from God. She can get mad at me, almost like a human, but the love in her expressive eyes is wonderful. I'm trying to put together a flight from Boise to Aberdeen, S.D. and I won't go if she can't. If I leave just overnight, she can get very depressed and I can't stand that. She's my little darling, "spicy" as she is.

@@cdc3 what a lovely story, thanks so much for sharing. Cats have an amazing perception for humans. Their love has to be won but lasts a lifetime. My two are just the same- sad when we leave the house. We only take day trips away from them, never nights! If you're up for it, get a second cat to keep yours company. Almost the exact same amount of effort, twice the reward 😉

Hi it was a great video very informative. i also have two cats that will be flying with me, I’ve done extensive research to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible. I just have one more thing weighing on me. I bought harnesses for my cats but im worried they will set off the metal detectors at TSA and i will have to remove them? Were your harnesses made out of plastic ?

We were allowed to keep our harnesses on them when walking through TSA. They do have plastic and metal, and are linked in the description if you want to check them out!

Hi, thanks for the tips. You mentioned buying a 3rd ticket for your cats. Did you have to pay regular flight ticket price, plus $125 cat ticket fee? Or does $125 cover the cat seat? And a silly, but important question, for longer flights (say 10 hours +), how do we deal with the cat's pees and poops on the flight? It's difficult to prevent them from using the bathroom for a long journey, and if they do pee and poop inside their carrier, it'll stink and the passengers around are gonna complain, LOL.

Yup regular flight price (except we used points so cheaper) plus cat fee. For using bathroom during long flights, I'd say bring that travel litter case with you and maybe try to get the cat to use in the bathroom? Otherwise, make sure to bring all those clean up supplies. Maybe a potty pad for inside the crate in case of accidents

Nope no medication for ours! I mention this in the video, but please consult your vet because sometimes medications can actually be harmful to them, since it's so cold on the flight and meds sometimes also drop their body temperature.

How much food were you able to take for yiur kitties? I have two adult cats and i was just wondering how much? Am i able to take canned food?

Yes you should be able to take canned food! We took dry food to make it easier, and it wasn't an international flight or anything so I had a feeling they wouldn't even be hungry.

I need to get 10 cats from USA to the Republic of Georgia. but only 3 adults are traveling. Is there any safe way to do this? I am concerned about them being tossed around by baggage handlers or going missing if there is a connecting flight. Can you offer any advice? thank you

I would definitely recommend not putting them in baggage, I have heard horror stories about animals who end up in the baggage compartments!! They can be traumatized by how they're flung around in there, or worse, die from those experiences. I would reach out to animal rescues like Orphan Kitten Club, KittenxLady, or any others, because they may have more resources for you.

I have heard its a right you have to go to the private screening room with your cats. So they can not deny you that right. One thing by the way I learned in service job, BE POLITE. Just saying. No need for them to be rude.

I have two 5month old kitties and we are going to be visiting family for the holidays. A two hour flight. They don’t really bother with the carriers except for sometimes standing on them. We took them on a drive to the vet for the first time and they peed and were so scared 😭. I love my babies and I want them to feel as comfy as they can. They don’t really have any single toys that they like. Any ideas?

Like I mentioned in the video, just try as much as possible to play in the carriers, give treats there, leave it out at home, etc. The more preparation, the better!
