i recommend getting a jiggler hose. WAY better than the silly plastic spouts on cans these days.

So the problem was the watery oil?? I have the mf35x it’s my grandpas. The tractor has minor issues but overall works fine. I’ve noticed that after 20-30 minutes of running the hydronic lowers when having the bush hogger attached. When I press the gas pedal it lifts up again but when I release it the lift slowly lowers again. This happens mainly when the tractor is hot. Could it be the watery- milky oil that’s causing this issue?? Also how much oil do I need in order to refill it properly ???

No your issue is the hydraulic cylinder inside the tractor for lifting the lift id say. The seals are probably gone. Could be a check valve too though

It's hard to say exactly what your problem would be if your oil looks like it has water in it your best just change it you'll need about 31 l of oil. If your oil is good the next easiest step is to remove that round plate that your transmission dipstick is attached to and watch inside the transmission when the lift is up and the tractors running if you see oil bubbling up your relief valve on the pump is likely failing if not then it's down to either the piston rings in the left cylinder or the hydraulic pump itself being worn out or a combination of the two. Given that the left cylinder is drifting it's quite likely the rings are worn in it. the fact that as it warms up the problem gets worse could also mean that the pump is getting to be wore out the hydraulic pump is pretty easy to rebuild and it's also pretty easy to replace the episton rings on the left cylinder if need be but the first thing I would check is the oil because if it's contaminated with water it will be thinner allowing it to bypass the rings in both the left cylinder and in the Piston hydraulic pump and remember the longer it's bypassing the foreign piston rings the more the oil heats up, the more the oil heats up the easier it is for it to bypass the piston rings therefore would explain why as the longer you run the tractor the more problems you have

Yes run it for about 7 Minutes. The diesel looked like the old hydraulic oil.

So what was the cause for the not-lifting problem?

Hi Coin, I replied to wrong person. A straight 30grade oil is likely best (especially for your climate) and what most places specify. My machinery place gave me 15W30 Exol multifarm. Fresh oil is likely better than what is in it.

Hi Coin. I replaced my oil but since found a manual on a vintage tractor website stating 30 grade for colder climates and 40 grade for warmer. Note the engine can take 30 grade. Note that on later 35's there is a hydraulic mesh filter behind the PTO lever which can be accessed and cleaned by removing this circular plate. If you put 30 oil in I wouldn't worry as it will still work.

@@coincorporations how does the lift work with valv 80w90 ? Does it work ok? Also can I use 20w40 oil for the hydraulic system in my 35x? I live in Greece but the tractor is used both in Winter and in summer months

Did you try lifting the rear arms with the diesel in it to circulate more?

Hi Heffer. I would not worry too much. I think it is SAE30 but my machinery spares place gave me "Exol Optifarm master 15W-30." I am pretty sure it can be used for the engine and back end. If you are considering running diesel through your hydraulic system or currently have custard in it, then any clean oil that is close to this speck will be better.

Personally since im a genious and n know everything i would have place heavy duty jack stand under the rear end and put it in gear n let it run that way it could have a better cleaning in high gear with low throttle i keep having to think of everything lol
