I had my fixed or permanent retainer put in at age 16. Now 48 I still have it. This is a good method. Mine isn't bonded on every tooth. It's bonded on the bottom canines. So I'm able to put the floss in a small space. Go between each tooth, slide it back and forth along the retainer. I highly recommend that you invest in a Waterpik Water Flosser. It does a awesome job for fixed/ permanent retainers.

I just did it there, it sucks but you're gonna have to pierce through the gums to some degree to get it in. It's a bit painful and bloody but I'm hoping that I'll get used to it

My teeth dont have enough space between them, I cant fit the floss .

Hello, if your using normal wax it wont go through. Also try brushing your teeth prior to using the wax or using interdental brushes.

What's the chance the metal in fixed retainer get loose or the bonded part because of the pressure from the floss

Hi Jeffrey, we suggest not to apply too much pressure when your flossing. If too much pressure is applied there is the chance of wire coming off.

Do u floss the teeth with the fluffy middle part or the end part?
