👉 I understand that many doesn't want to turn off ad-blocker, but all I'm SAYING is that currently ad-blocker is causing the issue. You don't have to turn it off if you don't feel comfortable, but personally I had ZERO lags after turning it off as of now. Try it out for yourself first before coming to a conclusion. Hopefully there is a better fix for this soon. If you don't want to turn off ad-blocker, you can try changing the auto-quality setting to something else as that may help you instead.

@@EasyWebberOfficial The adblockers dont cause the lag. They worked for decades. KZread changed something on their end to cause this issue, basically punishing people for using adblock. Which is disgusting. Honestly, there is a very easy way for youtube to get me to watch ads. By being reasonable. I dont mind watching a quick 5-10s ad once per video or so. I absolutely do mind if it's 1-3 advertisements per video, oftentimes 20+ seconds, sometimes minutes long, oftentimes with additional ads sprinkled throughout the video, and if you jump back to rewatch something you found funny, that's yet another ad. Not to mention the kind of ads. And this is by far the worst part. The overwhelming majority of ads on youtube is now either basically porn, unethical mobile games, or worst of all.. literal scams. Confirmed scams aswell. I literally once had a 45 minute long ad which tried to scam me. You know, the kind you used to get as a popup on suspicious websites only. Imagine you were watching videos on autoplay while doing sports and you cant easily get to the skip button. This is unacceptable. How can ads longer than some short movies be a thing? As long as youtube doesnt do any kind of quality control on what kind of ads run whatsoever and overdoes the amount of ads they throw at us, i will continue to recommend anybody to use adblock. Nobody deserves the kind of treatment youtube has in store for its customers. Also.. im pretty sure this is a chrome specific issue. If anything people have to swap their browser, rather than live without adblock. The smaller of two evils.

It's KZread trying to fight off people from using the adblocker so they can have people use KZread Premium instead, which I also hear people struggle with even without adblocker activated/uninstalled. kzread.info/dash/bejne/hX59s9OlmdqdZqQ.html There are better examples ofc, but there are some good points made.

You may have fix the lag issue but you've created a bigger beast with the constant interruptions from ads. Time to look for another solution.

Not the ad blocker causing my lag. Browser setting needed adjusting. Brave: Settings -> System -> Use graphics acceleration when available. Then relaunch. When relaunched, problem had gone.😀

If you want to continue using your adblocker for other websites you don't have to completely remove it, my adblocker has the option to pause adblocking on specific sites so just set it to KZread (Unfortunately pausing adblockers actually fixes the issues L ads)

I don't use ad blockers on YT and this didn't fix my laggy issues - BTW I have over 500mbs download rate and almost all other sites with videos work just fine

What annoys me is that I've turned off my ad blocker, yet this shit website still lags. Now I have to watch the awful ads and wait 20 seconds for everything I click on

youtube is almost unusable it is so slow and bogged down with ads

its not to do with ad block, for me its caused by the quality being on Auto, if i turn it to a specific resolution the ui lagging stops, suggests its more to do with too high ram usage or memory leak
