it means a malware deleted those system files theres no way to recover them unless you reinstall your windows operating system

The "online " stands for , if you are logged into the operating system . Not internet connectivity. You can be offline mode of your operating system by using (f9 , f8 , or f1 f2 at the restart before reboot logo screen ) depending on your hardware and system, you will go into a boot option menu to repair your computer using command prompt. or it will ask if you want to restart in safe mode with command prompt. If you boot normal and log into your user name , you are "online" in terms of the operating system.

For those who followed these steps and still get the issue when using sfc: run Disk Cleanup as administrator, select the C drive then click Ok. Wait for it to scan, then select all the check-boxes (except Downloads if you don't want to lose the files you have stored in the Downloads folder), and then hit Ok and 'Delete files'. Depending on how much Disk Cleanup has to clean, it might take several minutes or even an hour, but be patient and do not cancel the cleanup. Afterwards you can try doing another sfc scan.

I have Windows 10 Doing the above method will it help me to create another user account as usual without any problem it is the first time I am getting this message I am currently on my user account and want to create another one offline administrator type but this message appears : "The user Profile service failed the sign in. @@adenat0r311 I think it's still fixed because in first scan,It was saying "Found some corrupt filex and unable to fix some of them" but in this end screen it says "found corrupt files and successfully repaired them" I think your problem has to solved.

When i wrote DISM /ONLINE/CLEANUP-IMAGE/RESTOREHEALTH i had the error:87. The correct is DISM /ONLINE (space) /CLEANUP-IMAGE (space)/RESTOREHEALTH. Thank you!

It said it successfully fixed everything ... then I restart and sfc scan says found corrupt files! Everything I keep doing on the pc nothing is saving .. it just restarts and whiped away all unsaved progress.. can’t sign into Microsoft ... and can’t get my internet drivers to work

This result I never got as my system already deleted some important files or something else.Becoz my windows system is a crack version,not the original one.Also my technician install 64 bit but some softwares he installed r of 32 bit which resulted this.Try to reinstall it with same bit software.

are you running dism from system32 x: partition if u r then you must be in windows recovery environment

try typing in cmd this line: "D:" and then hit enter, after that type Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and hit enter.

because maybe your partitions aren't set like his. Check whether your windows folder is in C:, D:, F: or any other partition.

win7 64bit I have no realized dism was mostly added/enhanced after 8.1. Seems tutorials do not mention any other command to fix sfc /scannow
