Make sure you don't have a Windows update pending. If you ignore the update for too long, Windows WILL start screwing up your access.

Omg I’m so happy!!! I stopped trying a few months back to fix the network issues I would just use my phone hot spot when I needed to use my laptop but I decided to try again to fix the issue I’m so glad I came across this video. Updating the wifi driver is what fixed my issue btw

Thank you. Method 4, uninstalling my adapter, then installing the driver again worked for me. When I searched for the drivers I had 3 options, 2 from dell and one generic one from windows 10. Neither one from dell worked but the third one I installed (the generic windows 10) fixed my issue. Now I can find and connect to my home WiFi again. Thanks.

None of these things worked for me so incase you are experiencing the same problem here's how i fixed it: Go to settings and then to network and internet, at the bottom of the status screen you will find and option labeled Network Reset. This is option is basically like uninstalling and reinstalling your entire network system (like a factory reset but for network only) so only use it as a last resort.

Got a wifi dongle for a newly built pc that worked until I updated windows and all the minor realtek stuff. Then it doesnt even show in the system as if it isnt connected although i physically didnt move it an inch...

This is going to sound odd but for my gfs computer we went to the older driver and it worked. New driver must of been messed up somehow it was working great then just gave out no Wi-Fi at all nor other networks in the areas. It started off as just not showing Wi-Fi then a restart would show it back on. Then yesterday it completely stoped working all together. Did the last driver before this and now it works. Thanks for the video

I followed all of your directions on each method and none worked. When I get to the Sevices page on Method 5, it will not let me enable all. the button will not light up. Disable all is the one that is highlighted. What do I do now? You are a very good teacher. Your directions were clear. It's just that my laptop will not respond in the Dervices section.

Btw is windows 10 be out of service bc I saw a video that users using windows 10 will be forced to upgrade to windows 11?

For me the WiFi driver doesn’t show up under network adaptors, only ethernet connection driver (or whatever that’s called)

I reset my network options because it wasnt working and my wifi antenna stopped picking up signal so i got my other usb wifi adapter thing and reinstalled the drivers for the antenna but it still wasnt working on the big fancy antenna long range, but the first step solved it all thank you i was getting mad for 1 hour

The tip about installing driver from computer fixed my problem. When it checked online for update it said I had the latest driver. Didn't solve the problem. When I installed manually from computer, it did the trick. Thanks!

I used to shut down/restart my laptop or hit “network reset” every time it did this - but the time that it would stay connected exponentially diminished until restarting it did nothing at all. I’m not competent in the world of computers and I have yet to diagnose or fix this ://// But as far as I know I’ve probably got a million viruses

⁠​⁠​I actually did manage to figure mine out, more or less. The third method was to delete and reinstall your Wifi driver. Turns out, I simply just didn’t _have_ any driver to delete. My dumbass eventually noticed, and so I installed the thing. Unfortunately, this is almost guaranteed to be a different issue from the one you’ve got. But, who knows - Best of luck to you!

Guys even I was facing I followed step-2 it worked. Here he is selecting 1st option Intel driver, but I selected 2nd option Microsoft driver. I chose this and it worked. My home wifi was connecting to mobile but not on windows 10 laptop, now it works on Both

Thank you so much! The wlan autoconfig service was in manual ( it was my mistake, randomly deactivating start-up apps to boost my laptop with CCleaner). The thing that I don't understand is that the network troubleshooter could not figure it out, it said network adapter malfunctioning... useless. I tried everything, command prompt, network adapters in device manager, etc... Thank you again👍🏻
