Really? You made a 20 min video on a fix for ocean water damage in a GoPro only for it not to work? A little heads up at the beginning that it doesn't work would have been nice haha. That was bizarre.

Saved my Hero 7 even though it had been a couple of days since the water exposure. I was out on a remote island and the best I could do then was to put the camera in a bag of rice to maximize the drying. Thanks for the video!

I have a gopro hero 8 that leaked in the sea. I managed to get it out of the water quickly but it sill had a bit of water in it. It dried out and turns on after drying it in a warm place but I am worried about the salt that potentially could cause problems in the future… should I do this to try and clean it out. Or just leave it?

Same scenario for me. My camera turned back on and was working after i let it dry out, but now it's was acting wonky. So now I'm trying this to see if it will help clean the salt out. Unfortunately, I think the erosion already has done its damage smh.

where is the second half video?

So I had a 360 camera, I used it in fresh water I noticed a small amount of water got in , and the camera switched off ….. it’s been sitting on my computer desk since , and I’ve been wondering what to do , Should I give this a go

If you have water between the lenses its broken. The lens is totally sealed normally.

I swam with my Gopro 9 for 35 seconds in salt water and it won't read the SD cards. Then I poured isopropyl into the slot and now it won't turn on. Any suggestions?

Did you let it dry? You probbaly need to pull it apart and scrub with a toothbrush. You for sure have salt junk on the contacts

i had a additional 50€ diving case for my MAX took it down to like 30 meter and it fucking leaked. now the gopro starts but my screen don’t work anymore… i don’t know if i should try this trick. maybe i should just exchange the display? what u think

This might sound ridiculous, but what about dunking and rinsing it with water first to hopefully remove the salt water, followed immediately by thorough dunk and dry using the alcohol. I mean…if it’s already wet and not working…

I film all the time with my gopro max kiteboarding with a mount on my back in which the camera from time to time slams into the water I've tried using the dive case but problem is 360 cameras don't really work with the dive cases due to stitch line. I already broke one max camera from water damage luckily I had insurance. So now every time I use the camera i use electrical tape and tape over the battery door been working for me no water damage yet.

100% safe Make sure it's off and battery out I did the same thing to fix my water damaged drone

I watched this video, I read the comments, I was very skeptical but I’ll give anything ago… my GoPro max was salt water damaged and been sat in box for around 4 months did this tricked left it 48 hours and it’s back to working condition 🙌🏼👌

Yeah, I had a lot of fun with this one The day after I filmed this video he actually asked me about his go pro So I came clean yesterday and let him know his gopro may not work again
