It’s just me, but, at almost 50, I’ve never counted, weighed, or tracked anything that I eat. At all. I eat reasonably healthy. Everything in moderation. Have trained consistently getting compliments about how I look for my age with people thinking I look 10-15 years younger regularly. I’ve never had a six-pack. Just my two cents.

Keep up the good work 👍 I myself am a very thin guy and generally not overly interested in food so it's lent itself to having a good starting point. I'm now putting on decent weight of the good kind after ramping up the food. I didn't realise how much I needed to get down me to consistently put mass on

@@andypicken7848 That is absolute bs. You'll gain f*ck all as a natty training x2 a week. This why most ppl stay small because they follow bs programs. Only reason you should ever do x2 per week is if you're either 55+ yrs old or literally training like Tom Platz or Dorian Yates and pushing your body to the absolute limit. In reality, only a miniscule number of people have the mental capacity to push their training that far and if you do you're risking unnecessary injury.

if you increased the protein you may find even better results, as Protein is more satiating and your body uses more energy to process it. A recent study of increased protein to 3x your body weight in grams showed more muscle mass and a leaner physique while on a slight deficit. Thermodynamics of increased protein shows nit not all sources of Macros calories as being equal. Its not as simple as calorie in calorie out. Protein can also play a great role in metabolism and energy expenditure of your body.

In the 80s I used to read the Weider muscle mags they were full of the stars (Arnold and Franco etc) advertising protein powder. The misconseption portrayed is that their big muscles were as a result of the protein powder but the truth of the matter is the biggest contribution to their look is the drug use.

OK, so here's what I did over the last couple of weeks...I was on a low calorie intake per day (1,800) to try to get rid of that bloomin' belly fat. I'm 14st 12lbs. For weeks that weight has been up and down a couple lbs in either direction. So I increased those calories to about 1900 per day, my weight training didn't change and my exercise didn't change but I put weight on, about 5 lbs. I'm worried if I keep up increasing my calories to over 2000, I'll pack on even more weight. I didn't notice a change in my body shape, in fact, I felt and noticed my stomach was bigger. I'm 55 yrs and I'm kind of happy with the my shape...I've been training for about 6 years and without sounding like a right big head, my shape is quite good, I've got all the lumps n bumps in the right places...but it's just my stomach where those lumps n bumps appear when I increase my calories....Breathing in all day isn't doing me any good LOL!!! Any ideas you healthy lot?!

I'd say if your eating mostly carbs for those extra 100 calories you eat it will just be water weight. Either up your steps/cardio duration or drop cals by 50 then leave it a week or so and access... if no movement on the scale drop by another 50 as long as your protein intake is sufficient you wont lose muscle. It just takes alot longer than you think losing that last bit... in the end you will be sick of dieting hence most cant maintain it as your cals will be very low.

@@georgegeorgiou2915 It is... Especially if your not enhanced in anyway you wont hold as much muscle as enhanced lifters will... the only way to get the scale to move is to lower your calories further or increase the cardio duration... and give it more time... like i said when you get there you will be surprised at how low your calories will be... if you want that really low body fat... i'm 5ft 6 and had to diet from 15 stone to 10 stone just to see my abs and even then i still had fat in places... my calories at the end of my diet where 1500 cals mostly eating protein and fats with some carbs too. Everyone is different so you might not have to go that far. Good Luck!

thats a great advice but it takes a lot more time, naturally training for at least 5 -10 years to see solid muscle, thats only my opinion, good video bro, keep up the good work!

Lmao no it doesn't your biggest 60% of all gains you will ever make are in the first 1 to 2 years, every year after that is a tiny incremental difference, after 5 years you won't even be making any real gains. 8 years to see a difference, lmao wtf

I'm an average dude weighing 76.3kg, been trying to bulk eating 3500+ calories a day and haven't moved the scale in weeks. Some guidelines obviously vary massively person to person

Surely you have your macros wrong. No chance are you eating over 3500 calories and not gaining weight at 76.3kg unless you're doing some extreme sports, it makes no sense. You literally eat more than Mike.
