We spend all that money, we shouldn’t have to do anything to them. But it seems what you did worked.

Thank you for being the guinea pig for us.definetly appreciate it. I also dabbed a little bit of glue on backside of magnet on the pointer and glued the washer that it sits on to the clear cover between the 2 magnets..im going to apply a little vaseline where you put the grease

Piss poor design on the pointer. Everything else about the motor is great.

I agree .that pointer should have been secured directly to the shaft somehow.

My buddy bought a new boat nd offered his old one to me for a decent price. So i sold mine ...it had the minnkota ultrex with garmin echomaps and livescope. His that he sold me has this peice of crap lowrance ghost,elite 9 with active target. Im so pissed .im definetly going to get the addon pointer that attaches to the shaft at the water line and get another garmin unit and livescope and sell this crap ass lowrance unit amd acticlve target..if i can get a decent price for the ghost i will.sell it.also and get another ultrex..smfh
