How are you supposed to click on the start menu or use the search function if the taskbar doesn’t work?

@@johnny5941 If everything in the taskbar stops responding, you can't use the search bar as that will also not be responding to anything

​@@benilsondomingos5184 seems like your comment has a few clues like freezing after startup. I used my computer for a few days while my taskbar was broken before taking action to fix it. The solution in this video gives me the vibes of fixing an issue by turning on and off. There is most likely an even deeper issue that requires strong windows technical skill to solve. I predict that in the future, people including myself will need to use this video again because it is a superficial fix.

If you set up a new account you will lose access to all folders or files. They will not have permissions on another drive or partitions!

Thank you so much for this! Worked on first step with slightly different pathway. If anyone is having trouble finding the path for method one, try this: 1) Ctrl + Alt + delete 2) select task manager 3) scroll down on task manager to find windows explorer row shown above 4) right click on windows explorer and select restart Worked in a second for me!! Thank you so much! This has never happened to me before. I don't understand why suddenly I need to be a coder to fix these types of things on my computer. Why would an update that screws up my computer, be made available? Forget the updates then.

Ty for being straight to the point. I agree with the comment below. Solved my problem in like 20 seconds. You should have seen the long drawn-out videos I saw before this. I think I was observing a mental brain dump that wanted me to change settings on my computer.
