How to: fix stuck Penn Fierce 2

For some reason Penn Fierce 2's tend to have a problem where the spool will stick. Even with no drag on, it'll move as if it was heavy.
Tried looking around for answers and found more or less the same answer as my video, but with a big difference in the approach, my way being a lot faster and easier. Hope this helps..

I have had this exact problem with my penn pursuit 3. I have searched high and low on youtube, trying to find a video of what the problem could be. Found your video and gave it a go. My reel is working properly again! Thanks a lot for the video 👍 A great tip! 👍

Literally just spent my entire day taking all 2 of my Penn 8000 Fierce 2’s apart, cleaned, oiled, re-greased, only to have it STILL happen. Was about to take it somewhere & stumbled into your video. Didn’t even think to do this! Awesome idea! Will let u know if it works!

Mines just stuck or sticking. Not the drag but the spool. It will work fine and then stick making it impossible to turn handle. I tried to sell it to a neighbor for $20 and explained the problem. It was turning fine at that moment..omg brought it back a week later 😂

You didn't extract the drag properly, you should memorize the sequence to restore it in the same place

Good point, forgot to say that. In this case, the metal washer with the arms was at the bottom and was alternating till the top. Now that you mention it, I gotta look up is that's how it goes from factory, since I don't have it from brand new
