for the shoelace one where the ends are frayed, i use some heat shrink tubing, slide about an inch of it over the end of the lace and heat it so it shrinks down tight over the lace. works good for me. more permanent than just melting the end of the laces like you showed

💡You can also attach a safety pin to the string and push it through the hole of the hoodie (or gym shorts/pants etc)

If you don't have one already, buy a shoe dryer. You can find a cheap one at your local hardware store for like $15. Then, take some kind of spray disinfectant, I used odoban, spray it until every inch of the inside of your boot/shoe is SOAKED with the disinfectant, leave it on the shoe dryer overnight, the smell is gone and you have clean, dry shoes. The shoe dryer will also help stop them from getting smelly again if you throw your shoes on them after you get home from work or whatever and leave them on until the next morning.

To rethread a drawstring this come out, you can also use a large safety pin. Make sure the safety pin will fit through any metal eyelets first. Simply push the pin in to the string you wish to put back in your jacket and push it through.

I definitely needed the stinky shoe hack. You got any hacks for shoes I skateboard with? A good pair can be somewhat pricey but within a few days it's already torn up on one side and I can't afford to buy new shoes every couple months. I'm curious if there's a spray or something to make it last longer. I tried grip tape but it doesn't look so neat and doesn't form as well as I'd like. Hope you can help. Thanks for the vid!

Switch to bamboo socks and you’ll never have a smelly foot again. Just don’t use fabric softener on them (not needed as bamboo is soft) because the fabric softener will destroy the antimicrobial properties. I had smelly feet nearly all my life (inherited that lovely trait). But now that I only wear bamboo socks, I haven’t had a smell on my feet even if I wore the same shoes and socks for days. 💗

Another method for de-stinking your shoes (that takes about the same amount of time) is to place them in the freezer for a few hours (use a plastic bag or something to keep it clean). The cold temperatures will kill the odor causing bacteria leaving them without a smell and without having to do anything else to them.
