I watched your video and opened it (I didn’t even know you could open this remote LOL) and brushed the inside and just moved the batteries around a bit and put everything back and it works fine now! Did anyone at Samsung's front office try opening this frustrating device before putting it on the market?

Extremely helpful video. My TV was 1 year and 23 days old when the remote stopped working. Samsung were pretty unhelpful but di give me a link to 'a knockoff' remote that takes normal batteries on Amazon and visually is the same as the original costing half the price!. Today I took the original apart and found it was damp on the circuit board where the silicone button 'mat' sits. Cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and it now works. To take apart I used a set of tools from Amazon for getting into phones etc. Cost less than £10 and worth it to avoid damaging the plastic. Once again many thanks💯

Hey thank you for showing how to disassemble the remote. Mine wouldn't charge at all. The cleaning didn't help so I tried to fix the part where the cable from the battery meets the circuit board. As I pushed a tool between plastic and circuit board the remote came to live immediately. I'm glad that I don't need to spend 40€ for a 2 year old remote replacement. This is just poor quality. Never had problems with other brands.

Same issue on mine, my remote is not charging from the solar panel and even if it charges from the usb port it only last for 2 hours. This is the second remote and I suggest you don't buy tv with a solar charge remote

When you have water damage, you have to clean it as soon as possible. When it's dry it leaves some soils which can damage contacts in a couple months.

You need some smartphone opener, as you seen in the video it is hard to open but it is possible, and it is the only way to open it. Thank you for your question, let me know if you have any other questions.

Anyone can tell me the condenser used in C625. The condenser can be found at the usb-c connector side. Is the one to the right y the connector is at the bottom. My condenser just disappeared because of remote getting wet by some water. I want it to repair the remote but lack that condenser. I think it filters the power. Thank you

Is there a way to remove the click wheel? After removing the rubber padding, i noticed the right and down directions will not correctly reset. I believe there is some debris caught in between, but worried ill snap it off and break my remote.

It is a plastic tool. You can find it everywhere, where there are sailing tools for phone and electronics repair. Also you can use some very thin plastic. (Metal works too, but it can damage your remote control. Not recommended if you are a first time user.)

O meu problema se resolveu de outra maneira… Problema: depois de cair no chão, não respondeu mais nenhum comando. Tentei resetar pelas 2 formas disponíveis (segurar pressionado voltar + pause/play ou pressionado pause/play + ok) e não deu. Ao tentar recarrega-lo pelo usb, ficava piscando o LED. Pelo que li, isso sinaliza algum problema de firmware ou no carregamento. Deixei por horas, tentei o carregamento solar e nada… Ao abri-lo, tentei a escovada e n deu sinal… O QUE RESOLVEU: tem uma molinha dourada próxima à entrada usb-c do controle. Com o carregador plugado, pressionei a molinha e o LED parou de piscar (ficou aceso, como deveria) A partir dali, voltou a funcionar. Obs: que demonho pra abrir esse controle… levei uns 10-15 minutos pra soltar a capa. Tava quase quebrando ele no chão de raiva kkk

Thanks for your comment, if it's charging but won't keep power on it for work without cable means that the battery is bad or you have a problem with wires or connectors which provide power from battery to remote. You have to check the battery by itself then go step by step to see what is wrong.

New remote (2 months) barely used i have another "old" one... battery last 24h, charged 100% via usb, next days it goes 5-15 % without using it. It s insane

If it's changing full, but after draining the battery very fast, maybe the battery is in bed condition, or one of the commands stays active.

My dog chewed on my remote. I took it apart like in this video but somehow the doggy teeth got the buttons a bit screwy. Works better now but some buttons are glitchy.

Just opened mine up and did nothing but plugged it in and it started charging. Must have been something stuck
