thank you for this fix esp during the pandemic!

there is also a little slider bar on the paper feed arm which engages the rubber rollers. Ours was slid to the left, but when I slid it over to the right, the gears engaged those rubber rollers that are now clean and fed the paper in.

Could you share a little more about where the slide bar is? I can't seem to find it. The rubber rollers on my paper feed arm are not turning at all :(

I'm getting this error, even tho it is picking up. Actually picking up too much, repeatedly "load plain white paper into main tray and touch ok"

Hey! I tried doing everything in this video, but my printer keeps trying to print from the photo tray even tho I want it to print from the main tray. How can I fix it to print normal?

When sending the print job through, make sure you select proper paper size and type.

Hi ! Cleaning the roller didn't do the trick for me. But when I looked at the pickup roller during printing and it was not turning. I heard some noises as if the plastic gears inside were ripping. Do I have to take it all apart ? Do I need some spare parts for that ? Do you have some ?

Mine is doing the same thing. I have cleaned everything and if I hit OK, it will work, but the next sheet gives me the error message again. I have to hit OK every other time. Plus, it sounds like the gears are making a whirring noise.

Mine had a plastic gear that slid on the shaft that engages the rollers I had to slide over by hand about a quarter inch. After that it was perfect

my pick up roller is not turning. what do i do?

@@303electronics thank you replying back. i've already repaired it by a simple drop of super glue. the gear that runs along the shaft/spline was stripped so i super glued it and put in line with other gear and now it works like a good printer. had this one hp photosmart 7510 since 2012 or 2013. all good now.

@@lifehackertips i do not sorry mate but i applied the glue on the shaft where the gear sits then slide the gear into place and just apply abit more on the other side of the gear. then thats it

I have the same printer,,,and it keeps saying photo tray blocked,,,,what does that mean and how do I fix it,,,,,and I don't have the tray thing,,will that make a difference,,,please help me

There is a photo tray inside of the front output tray. It can get stuck sometimes. Make sure it is pushed in all the way into the tray.

I s there a way to access the paper pickup gears from the top. I need to glue a gear on to a shaft so it will feed paper again. I'm just not able to get super glue in the right spot. Thanks a million man.

Hi. It is extremely difficult. You basically have to take apart the whole printer. If you see my video where I take this printer apart, you will see how much work it is. Of you try currong the plastic on the bottom to get to the gear, you will ruin the tray, so that's not an option. Sorry.

I got a 7520 with a loose gear too for the paper pickup. It's right behind the flat front plastic you see in this video. I can slide the gear left and right. I can touch the metal rod too. So I got a small superglue tube in there and spread some around the metal rod. Moved the gear over it while spinning it. Then moved it into place inline with the pickup arm gear. Put another dab on the side of the gear too. Did this kind of blind, but I can feel where things are. Hope I didn't get any glue on the gear teeth. :/

I tried cleaning the rollers and they are still not picking up.

I can’t print from my photos full sheets of paper which sucks when I’m trying to print electrical schematics, and mechanical diagrams . This printer is useless .

Clean the shit out it wont pick up paper

I got mad at this junk printer and used my hammer, fix on the first swing fu,,,,,,,,,,hp and there junk.
