@@ritasanalitro5568 I like to use the Mr. DJ version better than the Origin one. Mr. DJ version has an automated install that you do not need to manually apply a patch to run the game without a disk or Origin, but you will need to use the files linked above to put the Ikea Home Stuff in your game. Also the Origin Ultimate Collection.rar has the prima guides + the store stuff/pre-order content to put in your downloads(mods) folder, so that is why it is a much bigger file.

the file might have been corrupted while downloading. sometimes google drive will compress large files into a zip, and whenever it does this to a file that is already compressed (like a .rar file) it sometimes breaks the download for some reason. you can try redownloading the file, and take care not to let gdrive "zip up" or compress the file before it starts the download, or you can use a download manager ( i use jDownloader ) to handle the process and prevent corruption- it will also unzips the file for you after it downloads.

Please someone can help me? I could solve the problem with IKEA stuff and the entire expansion but now, as i have all the collection, doesn't appear the carpet (In game) of bedroom, saloon, etc. of ikea. Can someone tell me what i have to do or download ??

the quickest way to get to your game files is by right clicking your game's desktop shortcut and selecting "Go to File Location" from the context menu, if your game is the CD-rom version the file location will be the last expansion pack you installed, in complete repacks like Mr DJ it is always Garden and Mansion stuff. [edit] but too answer the question, the game files are in the Programs [x86] folder in C: drive assuming you installed the game on your hard drive.

Mr DJ's RePack does have an installation folder for the Ikea Stuff Pack. It's just the package files that are missing like in the Ultimate colection

Hello, Ms. Riley. there are 2 ways to fix the graphics for Sims 2, you can edit the graphics rule file manually and/or you can download/install a program called "Graphics Rule Maker" made by SimsNetwork, what that program does is "give" special parameters to run the game on newer hardware that would otherwise not be there because it (the hardware) did not exist when the game was developed. I made a video about how to fix nasty looking graphics and bad lighting in the Sims Castaway, the steps to fixing the graphics in Sims 2 is exactly the same so follow those steps to a T, if you wish to edit the graphics rule file yourself, I have a link to that video pasted below (#1) along with a link to download the Graphics Rule Maker program (#2). Generally if you do one or the other, it fixes your game graphics assuming the display processor in your computer is intel with processing speed faster than 2.2GHz; I always recommend that someone use the Graphics rule program to add those special hardware parameters to the game first AND THEN go into the Graphics Rule file to make those changes I demonsteate in that Sims Castaway video to fix the lighting, UNLESS you are absolutely happy with the changes made by the program then don't bother touching it. I think it is worth mentioning that the game can't run on a system with an AMD display processor for lack of support for DirectX9 (a software driver), it will run on a system using an intel processor with AMD graphics card however, you will need to right click on your game's shortcut and there should be an option available to force windows to run the game on either the processor or graphics card. And finally, to make the game run in windowed mode, you will need to right-click on your game's shortcut to open the context menu, then click on "Properties": another menu will open, it will say "Shortcut" and there be a few different rows or boxes you can click on to edit, click on the one that says "Target:" and inside of it will be the file location of your shortcut, and if you have all the packs installed, it will end in "\Mansion and Garden Stuff\TSBin\Sims2EP9.exe" --- to make it run in windowed mode, all you need to do is type -w at the end of that string of text with a space in between, and it will look like [ "\Mansion and Garden Stuff\TSBin\Sims2EP9.exe" -w ] I hope all that makes sense, lol. link #1: kzread.info/dash/bejne/l6SmstB6iMaeoZM.html link #2: www.simsnetwork.com/tools/graphics-rules-maker

i obtained the file from manually installing the Ikea home stuff pack, after that i simply moved to missing files to another computer and pasted them to folder with the missing content... are you using Mr. DJ's repack of the sims 2 or you trying to add this to another version ?

This version of the game is 1.17.0.66, it's a repack by Mr DJ and the files I uploaded came from a direct install of The Ikea Home Stuff pack I used to fix my game: I assume it will work w/ any complete repack of the Sims 2 base game + individual packs that happens to be missing the Ikea stuff from build/buy mode. The complete version given away by EA several years ago was an all-in-one installation of the Double-deluxe and "Best Of" collection releases since the company had a tendency of re releasing the game in combo packs + access to exclusive content on the exchange. And as far as I can tell, that is the only difference between the Origin "Ultimate Collection" and this one, besides the main menu having the "Fun with Pets" screen instead of "Mansion and Garden stuff," which was the last pack EA released for Sims 2. so it doesnt actually say it is _The Ultimate Collection_ if you play it on Origin, you need a mod for that. I think the ultimate collection title was something the community came up w/ on their own and it is somewhat misleading to ppl trying to find the game whove never played it before and dont know how to find it. But if you want the Origin version you can find it here, just click on the file that says "Origin Ultimate Collection" [NOTE] I didn't make the crack and all the files in the zip are original to how it was generated by its makers, I just uploaded it to archive bc I know alot of ppl cant use torrent... archive.org/download/capture_202010

btw, I think the Mr DJ version of the complete collection is the most stable of all the versions I've tested, even the legit Origin version doesnt work as well as Mr DJs: I have complete confidence saying if that one wont work on your system (after using graphics rule maker + 4GB patch) none of them will.

I will be happy to help you fix it if you can take a screenshot of your game's installation folders and email it to me at savannahpennepacker@gmail.com. if your game was installed from a disk, this won't put the Ikea stuff pack in the game for you, it only works for repacks that had missing or corrupted files after installation.

Did you do something special installing this version? I also have it, but mine crashes every time i tried to play with a family, it keeps loading and i don't know what i'm doing wrong.

Whenever I install this version on any computer, I first set the installer up to run in compatibility mode and then set it to run as administrator. If you didn't do that when you installed the game you might want to uninstall it, and then reinstall it w/ those settings applied. To set it up to run in compatibility mode + as administrator, right click on the setup icon for the installer you have, then click "Properties" on the panel that appears, then click on the "Compatibility" tab in the menu box, you will see an option to run compatibility troubleshooter (click on that) and also click on the box that says "run as administrator" - after your game is installed, you will need to repeat these steps on the shortcut for the game on your desktop. *_MOST OF THE TIME_* that is all you need to do to get it working, but you can also try using the Graphics Rule Maker program or installing the 4GB memory patch.

@@IkeaHomeSP I´m so sorry I might seem really dumb but how do I delete the cache files? (and what are the cache files?) Also another question, do you know why, for the mr dj version of the game at least for me, some cheats work while others don´t like testingcheats where you right click a sim and you can do a lot of things there doesn´t work, the cheat where you turn off the grid for build mode doesn´t work either. Haven´t tried more. You can slide moods and relationships but so far that´s all I have tested. Thank you!

@@nonchalantdewiness i'm not sure why the cheats aren't working in your game, i'm using the same version (obv), and all that i've tried seem to work unless i misspell or type something wrong. you might want to try downloading a premade userstartup.cheat file and editing it suit the cheats you want to use regularly and see if that forces the cheats to work. as for how to deleted the cache files, just go into your Sims 2 documents folder and delete every file or folder that has the word "cache" in the name. _if that doesn't work_ you can email me at savannahpennepacker@gmail.com with screenshots of your game's installation location with the pack folders visible, as well as the inside of the ikea stuff pack folder to make sure everything was copied to the right place.

I follow every step but it doesnt work. Please help 😢

the folder this needs to go in your game's installation folder folder, the easiest way to get there is to right-click on the game's shortcut icon, select "Go to file location," and you will be in the folder for the M&G stuff pack, from there you can ascend the subfolders and find the one for the Ikea stuff.

I just checked my installation on Sims 2 and all the holiday stuff is in buy mode even tho the game's installation folder don't have subfolders for the pack.

@@lissah2259 Just install Ikea stuff to another folder. If You have EA Games folder on your C disc, ex. EA Games/The Sims 2/The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection install Ikea Stuff to EA Games/The Sims 2/The Sims 2 Ikea stuff but You need a game or CD with Ikea stuff.

Hello, I will do my best to help.... first thing you should try is using graphics rule maker, it is a program that helps the game work with new computers. you can download the program here>>> www.simsnetwork.com/tools/graphics-rules-maker Follow the instructions on the website and try to play the game again. If that does not work you will need to uninstall the game and then set the program you used to install the game to run in compatibility mode and as your computer administrator as well. It didn't work for me, I also used to have some H&M items in my game but they have vanished.. Before following this tutorial, probably because I downloaded cc or mods? I removed my downloads folder but it didn't come back. Thought it was weird, I guess I'm not the only one? :/

@@22Demi hello, i'll be happy to help you fix your game. first thing i need you to do is take a screenshot of your game's installation folder so i can see what pack folders you have installed there... send the screenshot to my email savannahpennepacker@gmail.com the easiest way to get to the installation folder is by right clicking your game shortcut and selecting "go to file location" from the options panel; that will take you to your current pack's bin folder, so from there just click on the upward facing arrow button next to the file line on the explorer window. if your game was installed using the discs, this fix won't add the ikea stuff pack to your game if it was never installed in the first place. what it does is replaces the package files that are missing from the mr. dj all in one repack of the game: the installation folder is there, but the assets are missing for some reason.

For everyone in the future reading this, it's solved and it works (again)! Thanks to Savannah ^-^ What I had to do was change the file names of the packs in program files that didn't work, For H&M you need to change the "_" to "&" and add "®" For IKEA add "®" For kitchen and bath change the "and" to "&"

H&M fashion items were also missing. Can I also upload H&M fashion item files?

hello, the H&M items are there even though it isn't immediately obvious. if you go into the neighborhood and open the menu for placing lots/buildings from the bin, you will find some community lots with an icon that looks like a plumbob in a red circle with a white tag: this is the H&M fashion stuff pack logo- once you find this lot, go ahead and place it in your neighbor hood if you want it, then you can go in whenever you want for clothing, the H&M fashion clothing will have the same logo as the community lot did in the bin. let me know if you're still having trouble finding something and i'll do my best to help.

I'm really sorry about that, you might want to try using a different installer for the game. the link below will take you to a page where you can download Mr. DJ's all-in-one installer or the Origin version that you need to patch yourself (instructions to do that are included in the folder). The BIN fix for the Ikea home stuff works w/ Mr. DJ's, the Origin version has all the missing Ikea stuff so you won't to apply the BIN fix. If you have a saved game you will want to move your Documents\EA Games\Sims 2 folder before uninstalling. archive.org/download/capture_202010

if you are playing the ultimate collection on origin or the mr. dj repack, your holiday stuff is included in the celebration stuck fun pack, alternatively you can go on archive.org, and do a search for "the sims 2 advent christmas," the search results will give you a ton of christmas themed objects made by maxis (some international exclusives) if that is what you're looking for right now.

no, it won't. the files don't get installed, you simply copy/paste them into the folder that is missing them from the repack that installed all the packs at once; this won't put ikea stuff in the game if you didn't use something like mr dj's repack.

If you want to try the Origin version, you can find it on this page -you will have to apply a crack so it runs w/o Origin, instructions are included. Make sure you move your game folder before uninstalling your current version... archive.org/download/capture_202010
