I have gone through MANY damn tutorials and even purchased other cards thinking they were damaged. You're the only one that's managed to help me with my problem. THANK YOU so much! For those with Windows 11 software, this method worked for me. Don't overlook it because it doesn't specify Windows 11 like I nearly did.

The only other thing I can think to suggest is checking device manager to see if there is a yellow warning circle on the storage device if it shows up. If there is a yellow warning circle on the device then right clicking and uninstall the device, and then unplugging and re-plugging it into the computer might fix.

Hey! I have the same issue! I have the yellow warning triangle and I tried uninstalling, unplug/reinsert thing but the triangle is still there (no install appears to have even happened, can I trigger it somehow?) All my drivers are up to date as I’ve been trying to sort this out all evening now, but still no joy..? Any advise? It’s a SanDisk extreme micro sd 64gb. My other sd cards work flawlessly, it’s just this one (brand new!) sandisk that’s giving me a headache. Thanks!

Same problem it means SD card will not be recovered you will have only to throw in the gutter.

When I tell you I have spent WEEKS on google and random forums trying to figure this out I am being completely serious, you my good sir are a legend!!

Mine does not even show up in device management. It just stopped working when it was into my phone where I used it for like past three years. I never had any problems with it and it's so strange that it just stopped working so randomly. So yeah... any solution for problems like this one?

Sd cards are prone to corruption so I try to never store anything important on them for long. Sometimes a card won't show through disk management, but it does through a data recovery tool. Sometimes a card's drive letter will show in windows explorer, but the sd card is not readable. I find cards connected via usb sticks corrupt more often than through any sd card slot. Most often for me with issues, a card will show, but the storage size of the card won't show,eg In windows, from 'my computer'. The drive is there, but explorer grinds to a halt trying to read it. Recovery tools often also show the sd card as having 'raw' data. If you cannot change the drive letter, try using a different card reader or stick which can occasionally fix issues when the card isn't at fault, and a recovery is not always necessary. As a last resort you could also try another computer or compatible device to try and read it (ignoring any formatting options)

the ONLY VIDEO that REALLY fixed my problem MY GOD. I had my SD card reader which was wokring only on the standard SD reader and not the micro SD one. I tried uninstalling from device management, rebooting, reinstalling drivers as all the websites were suggesting and nothing. I thought that the micro SD card reader was just broken. Not even Ugreen suggestions before returning the item were suggesting this. THANK YOU. I was about to return this SD card reader. This issue is so stupid. Also me on Windows 11.

There is a small possiblity that updating your drivers might fix the problem. You can easily update your drivers using this video kzread.info/dash/bejne/aoaBzpptesuYhLA.html even though the video is for Windows 10 I believe it should work for Windows 11. If that doesn't work then I'm not too sure what else to suggest other than it may be a problem with the SD card its self.

I've seen this video a dozen times across all channels. Right when i got to the part where it's the partitions and EVERYONE's sd card showed up. Mine does not. 0:42 NADA nothing.

Thanks, this was the exact problem I had. I was using rufus to create bootable USB sticks and on one of the passes I must have accidentally selected the SD card and not the USB stick. I pulled out the SD card to work on a new one and immediately realized my error, haha. I guess since I was writing a new file system to that drive, pulling it out mid-write left it without an assigned letter. The SD card isn't working anymore, so fixing that is my next step!

My card is showing up as "Disk 2" but when I attempt to assign a new drive letter, I get the error: "The operation failed to complete because the Disk Management console view is not up-to-date. Refresh the view by using the refresh task. If the problem persists close the Disk Management console, then restart Disk Management or restart the computer." I followed those directions to no avail. This is all being done on a Windows 10 computer. The SD card does work on my chromebook however. I don't understand.

Even though it shows up as 128GB it could still be a scam. LinusTechTip did a decent video about fake micro SD cards kzread.info/dash/bejne/fGF4mNaScruepqg.html

Sadly, mine isn't showing up in the disk managment menu. And the yellow circle isn't fixable, since it appears there isn't any driver available in the deep web. :(

That did work... I used mini partition tool to delete partitions that I created and merged to partitions. After that, it stopped working!

Unfortunately my Micro.SD drive does not even appear when I open Disk Management. I even tried ejecting and re-introducing the MicroSD card and nothing. 😭😭😭😭😭

This problem only started after I added the card to a phone, then put it back on the pc. I can explore the contents on the phone, just not on the pc, despite it still recognising it as Broadcom SCSI sd device but not giving it a drive letter. My one doesn't show up in the list at the top, only as 'disk 2' underneath. Changing the drive letter is greyed out, as the drive is mounted. Windows 10's disk management crashes. This *might* be because I am using a laptop sd card slot, and not connecting the sd card to the pc via a usb stick adapter. I usually prefer sd card slots as I find usb sd's wear easily and corrupt cards more often.

Thank you, worked for me. However, after few weeks this issue returns - my SD card disappears and I have to do this proces again, and again. Do you have some trick, how to solve it definitely? Thank you!

Mine is not even showing on the disk management . I saw pictures only once and then it went blank, not showing on cell, lap top, my camera nowhere at all. Is like it didnt exist. Only thing I can think of is maybe my wife put it beside a charger for her fossil watch that uses a magnet and it deleted everything but at least if it would show sd empty or something but it is not detected at all. All contacts are clean it is a new ad card...😩
