Didn’t work
I have tried this a number of times, but still the nicknames are not appearing in the 'chat' itself. When I get notification of a message on my home screen, the nickname is used there, but upon opening the 'chat' in messenger, the nicknames do not appear?

It didnt work
All new versions of Facebook (since December I guess) are simply without nicknames for most of users. How the heck reinstalling the app should help? 🤦🏼♀️
umm my moms account got her nicknamed changed to my discord nickname but a little bit different what does it mean
having a problem in one of my group chats. we assume a bot. is changing everyones nicknames. like almost all at once. and it is always the exact same nickname. no matter how many times all the nicknames get cleared and we try to fix it. the names will get changed again.

I made a mistake with nicknames I changed my stepmother's nickname to b*tch and my grandmother's (dad's mom) nickname to wrong grandma not realizing that they can see what nickname you choose for them.
