    I love my Shark, it is over ten years old. I do all the maintenance on it myself. The life of your vacuum depends on how you keep you filters and hose clean. Oh and don’t forget to clean the beater bar.

    Thank you. My husbamd said he tried everything to fix tbe suction until he seen your video. I already bought a new shark (different model) which SUCKS. actually it doesnt suck very good. And it tips over evey time i use it. I still want two vacuums one for house and other for basement and garage. Thank you for video. I'll update if this works. 👍💗

    Yeah, that's all I knew about too. And yes, it was pretty bad. Its air drying now. I hope this works

    I have a Shark Navigator Liftaway vacuum cleaner (purple). I am having trouble with both latches on the removable canister. They don't stay locked. I don't believe they are broken however, they come unlocked as soon as I turn the vac on.

    Sand bottom of plastic nub. Ally layer of good Hot glue or epoxy to build up....adjust when dry with file.suction created on turnon pulls canister Down...

    Hey I just scrubbed & hose rinsed my nasty not to blackened hepa filter. How long do I have to wait until it drys in the sun to replace ?

    Don't dry them in direct sunlight. Put them in front of a fan for 2 days

    Thanks for the tutorial. My Shark lost suction and the culprit was the dirt build up in the hose.

    😂😂😂don't blame your water pressure from how dirty the filter is 😂😂😂 The shark Rotator vacuum NV500 Blows all vacuums out the ballpark I've had the most expensive vacuums and they were trash compared to the Shark I used one at a Baby shower and I was floored 😮 I had to have it I ordered it that evening 5 years old and still sucks up the entire house 😂 powerful and only $300 yes please

    My tube was clogged and i took a hanger, put a barb on it and then cleaned the tube out and it worked great again

    I have a corded PowerFin Shark Vacuum. I have cleaned everything, don't have any blockage. My Hardwood Floor setting stopped working and the other two settings the suction has decreased. Any idea? It's only like a year old and used at home only.

    Great vacuum. This particular model is the only one I like. Every other Shark model Ive tried doesnt even compare, which I thought was odd. Its kind of a trip how you really dont lose suction when the tank gets full. Only one thing I dont like is that the white plastic has yellowed with age.

    HOW? WHEN I CLEANED MY HEPA FILTER IT REALLY DIDNT END WELL. IT TOOKS FOREVER TO TRY AND HAS LIKE BURN MARKS ON IT.

    Because my phones front camera was awful so I used rear main one. But I can't see the screen then. So I have no idea what is in shot.

    I have a shark rotator nv60 model and there’s suddenly no suction! My filters are clean. There’s no obstructions. I’ve cleaned the hoses and it now won’t turn on standing up right or pick up anything from the carpet. I’m at a loss on what to do now short of getting a new vacuum.

    @@sanjayp2683 vacuums just kinda smell after a while. If it doesn't affect performance I wouldn't worry to much.

    Yea, I was frustrated with the crappy design of the handle, making it impossible to repair. I did it though.

    @@VacMaster1991- Yeah. I got so frustrated l called a vacuum repairman. He said there's no easy way. I never got it apart. I would've broken it. I went back to old way. Flush it out with garden hose & let it dry thoroughly. Repairman said he something drops are large ball bearing ball thru sometimes.

    @@VacMaster1991- Don't see how. Pluggage (At least in our case) is always in the handle elbow.

    @@andreweppink4498 it's not plugged. I was removing the handle from the hose so I could cut off a ripped spot on the hose. Then I could attach the handle back once the ripped part is removed
