    Thanks so much! Thought for sure I had to get a new washing machine when I thought, why don't I check KZread. Saw this video and saved hundreds of dollars. The hardest part was waiting for the part to arrive from Amazon. I already had the agitator disassembled so when the part arrived I had the washing machine working in less than ten minutes. Thanks again.

    4 bucks to fix my washer. This was exactly what the problem was. My wife is mad though, she wanted to spend 2000 to buy a new washer and dryer. Thank you Brother , save me some money :-)

    Thank you so much! Was able to find the part locally for just a few more dollars and fixed the washer within 10 minutes. We had already planned on looking for a new washer instead we are washing clothes and feeling extremely proud of the $500+ we saved.

    After searching all over for a 'free' e-manual and getting nothing I needed or could use, I just happened to see this video's title. This is exactly what I needed, no more, no less, even the part number and the website to order. Shaky video notwithstanding, it was clear and to the point. The rubber band trick was very helpful also, good to know that it won't gum up the works. Thanks! I am saved from a big repair bill and I can tell me husband I am capable! (He wanted me to call the repair guy...)

    Do you happened to kno if all dogs are the same for different models? Mine is a Kenmore 800 series and cam kits are not compatible with others but I wonder if dogs even matter if they’re all the same.

    My Kenmore 80 series doesn't have a bolt/screw at all. I can see the top of a metal post, but no bolt and nothing to remove. What is holding the agitator on?

    I replaced my agitator dogs, but my washer still doesn't agitate. What else could be the problem?

  • @MrJeffinLodi
    @MrJeffinLodi10 жыл бұрын

    I just checked my machine. I have the opposite problem; the entire agitator seems to be one piece; not 2. the agitator moves, but the clothes are really not being moved much. It seems that something else should be happening. Is this the same kind of problem (with the dog agits)? My Kenmore is an older model with the brown top. thanks.

    Hi Jeff and thank you for watching, Question? Does your washer machine tub spin, and if so - are the clothes wetter then normal?

  • @MrJeffinLodi

    @MrJeffinLodi

    10 жыл бұрын

    matttherepairman The tub does NOT spin during washing, but it does during the spin cycle;I was thinking it might NEED to spin or move during the wash cycle? The agitator does move, but not much, and does not have a corkscrew design; they are more like fins; straight and kind of small. thanks.

    @@matttherepairman Hi Matt: Kathleen here. Excellent video. Here's my issue- -Old washer -Agitates during cleaning cycle -SOMETIMES IT SPINS & ALL WATER IS GONE. ALL IS OK TO GO RIGHT IN THE DRYER. -THEN SOMETIMES IT FINISHES THE ENTIRE CYCLE, SOUNDS LIKE IT WAS SPINNING, BUT THE CLOTHES ARE SOAKING WET. -I then have to dial it around to SPIN AGAIN OR PUT IT THRU THE "XTRA RINSE/SPIN FEATURE" THAT'S AN OPTION FOR ANY SIZE/TYPE OF LOAD. I NEVER USE THIS FEATURE, BUT IF ITS TOO WET THEN I HAVE TOO. -Sometimes it works, sometimes not!! -I went ahead and got the agitator out & doggie thingies (lol), but the teeth are not worn down. They look the same as new ones. Nothing is cracked. But when I took the agitator & softener etc apart it was so FILTHY with built up soap etc. GROSS. So right now I'm scrubbing everything clean. I will put it back together & see what happens. -Lastly, tell me what you think of this. WHEN I TOOK THE BOLT OUT, AT THE BOTTOM OF BOLT WAS A RUBBER WASHER. A WASHER STYLE I HAVE NEVER SEEN. THE ROUND RING IS NOT BROKEN. STILL PLYABLE. BUT THERE ARE LIKE 4 TINY TABS THAT HOLDS ANOTHER WASHER TO THE INSIDE OF THAT ONE. 3 OF THE 4 LITTLE TABS ARE BROKEN & THUS CAUSING THE 2 JOINED WASHERS TO ALMOST SEPERATE. HANGING ON WITH A WING & A PRAYER. NOT THAT WASHERS AREN'T IMPORTANT, BUT CAN THIS ALMOST SEPARATED WASHER REALLY BE MY PROBLEM? IF YOU CAN PLEASE EMAIL ME & I WILL SEND YOU A PIC OF MY SILLY WASHER. Kathbean@aol.com I really appreciate any advice at all.. In appreciation to you, Kathleen😊

    I appreciate this video, but watching it made me dizzy with the camera moving all over the place. Good intention, but think of placing the camera steady in one place, so you can work more effectively and your youtube watchers don't fall from their seats. What about editing!
