Do you need to be on a Mac to enter DFU mode? I've done all the steps above but it just keeps showing the apple logo and restarting instead of entering DFU mode...

I spent a while trying to figure out why it will not get into DFU, I didn't believe I was that bad timing the clicks of the buttons. Thank you so much for telling that. Key Factor !

This is the best tip Ever. With USB C i tried 1874 times. With USB A just 1 time and it worked. Bonus Tip Hold Volume Down and Power button 5 seconds then Volume Down only for 10 sec (iphone 7)

Still doesn’t work on iPhone 11. Do you know how to fix it?

Today I learned that not only you cannot enter DFU mode with USB-C cable, even the normal update process fails and puts the iPhone into recovery mode. (Which you can't exit, since you can't enter DFU with that cable&)
