HOW TO FIX HYPER FLASH | Load Resistor Install
Today we wire in some load resistors to prevent my blinker signals from hyper flashing. Installing LED bulbs gave my lights hyper flash, so these load resistors get rid of that issue!

Use 2 screws to put it in a fixed position, clear the surface out of the paint under the rezistor and add then some thermal cpu paste. Would help a lot better to dissipate heat
When I attached resistors to the inside of the trunk of a 2009 ford fusion, I put thermal compound underneath to help the heat transfer to the metal car body. Just like when building a computer, where you put that compound under the heat sink for the CPU!

make sure to use thermal paste or thermal grease when fixing resistor to car body.
Funny, 5 years ago and your still using a corded drill. You are one of a kind... 😁 Good video though.

If you replaced the two front turn signal lights… can you install the resistors on the back lights?
@ColtonRichter
Жыл бұрын
No, they have to be wired to the whatever lights you have done.
Hey man just finished watching your video, just had a question. Just trying to wire up my turn signal rears, there Is only two wires coming into the socket blue & black. In your video it said for mazda guys its even easier, would that be my point of tapping?
There is no need to use a drill. I used thermal glue and it works even better because it conducts even more heat and transfers it very efficiently through the chassis of the car.
Is this the same with the front? I just got some switchback LEDs and need to install resistors. I have the same car
@ColtonRichter

I heard from someone that doing the rears, don't need to do the front. In my experience i've always had resistors wired in my front switchbacks, so I wouldn't know
do you need to install them on both the front and the rear??? I just installed only on the rear of my car and my blinks are still fast. Perhaps i need a higher voltage resistor?? idk

You need a resistor at every corner you installed an LED bulb.
Iv made my wing mirrors into led lights indicator like the bmw ones and going to wire up to my wing induction. Iv got the resistors to This should work So when I turn it on just my indicators flash normally and my wing mirrors should light up left to right at normal speed. Iv had to cut the cover then carbon fibre chopped up look
Lol with that intro I legit though you were finna jump up out of nowhere.

So I am having real issue with a tailgate bulb which happens to be standard taillight + turn signal + brake light. This has 4 wires. 2 being black, one being orange and one being red. I don't know which wire to splice in order for the load resistor to work the LED bulb

So you connect one side of the resistor and the other wire from the turn signal. Did you have to strip any wires

you should mount the resistor on a cooling block otherwise it will get to hot. And you damage the Original wire by cutting it half way thru by using this bad connctors

Hey Dude what’s up! I’m a fan bro I watch most of your videos, I have an 07 Mazda 3 Hatchback and I just put on the hella sharp tones on mine along with new 6000k HID’s and All LED’s. My question is, if I have both turn signals front and back LED’s do I need two 4 resistors , 2 in front and 2 in back or do I just need 2 for the back only to fix my hyper flash?
@ColtonRichter
6 жыл бұрын
You'd have to see! I have no experience with the fronts YET, I'm wanting to do a switchback LED. I think because you have a resistor in the circuit it might be ok, but I can't confirm this
@ATrueSound
6 жыл бұрын
Dudesk7 oh ok I didn’t even think about switchback LEDs. I bet those look a lot better then just the standard amber color. And ok I just ordered the resistors so I’ll let you know what happens when I hook them up! And dude I just saw the new vid on the horns not working, it must suck dealing with the snow up there mani couldn’t deal with my car getting all rusty, I live down in Florida so it’s nice and hot all the time, are summers can be very brutal sometimes.
@ColtonRichter
6 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah, I mean my car's doing well with the rust, i'm always detailing it so it's very unlikely to get anything. The switchback LED's should really be done for the front end, just so you can see the amber flashing when you're turning, and then just back to a white LED for driving
@ATrueSound
6 жыл бұрын
Dudesk7 yeah dude I think I might switch to the switchback LED’s. Those look a lot better than the amber color. Oh and just an FYI, I just hooked up my load resistors to my back turn signals only and it fixed the hyper flash so if you do end up getting the LED’s in the front then you don’t have to worry about adding more resistors in the front!
