Finally solved my buzzing relays thanks to this video! Only took me 3 years to figure it out!

I suspected this was the case with my 2016 Sonata, but I love you for confirming, brother! Next purchase for me...cancellers.

My hid low bean flicker alot like cop lights on my 2013 focus my fog lights never had a problem with them. Ill try the resistor c if that helps.

Had my capacitors plugged in the wrong spot; thanks so much for this. Problem solved!

I have a 08 trailblazer ss that i just put HIDs in. The passenger light flickers slightly and drivers light does not. I see you mentioned the capacitor. Does the relay have to be in the circuit or can i just purchase a 55w error warning canceller and put it series between balast and hid light?

i got a 10k kensun kit with a relay harness, my driver side has a flipped polarity, i got the kensun 9v-16v warning cancellers did nothing, dont know what to do. lights flicker non stop

can i use that with a bi xenon bulbs ( hi and low beam both hid ) ?

just did my SR accent and yes the running lights buzz. So I just turn on the lights to have it not buzz or you can pull the parking brake to one click to have it off too.

Thanks Man I have an Veloster Turbo and I'm having the exact same problem with my HID Low beam, operating on the harness. Kensun suggested I get a harness with resistors....what are your thoughts on that? Also did you connect the canceler on the right side only, since the factor harness would essential remain disconnected, if the ballast and HID bulb are going to the relay, unlike on the left side where the battery is located?

Thanks for posting the video! This was very informative. I do have a question though. I have installed a hid warning canceller with my aftermarket headlights for my 2013 Lancer. It mostly fixed the flickering, but now it only flickers if I have my turn signals on for a long time (>2 mins) Now I only have that issue if the stoplights run long, but after making the turn, and the signal lights turn off, it fixes itself in a minute. Is that normal? Should I even be worried about it? Thanks again for the video!

I just installed hid lights on my 2014 ram sport with the projector lights the low beams are fine just straight from hid to ballast but the high beams flicker? Can I safely assume I don't need modules for the lows only the highs and if so are warning canceller capacitors I have from my old trucks hid kit laying around the same as a module pretty much? I do have a high low controller I installed on the 1 side and it fixed the flickering but you have to go directly to positive on battery and find a good ground just a lot more work....so if these things I have laying here will do the same I'll use them if not I'll wire up the controller on the other side as well, haven't tried the fog lights yet ran out of time to get them installed....

will this fix both problems if my relay buzzes and lights flickers

Hey Paul, I see this is a very old video but I have a related question. I installed LED Angel eye rings on an ‘03 BMW 5-Series. Wired them in with a relay which is activated by the factory halo bulb wire, and getting power from a dedicated 12V source. The relay buzzes just like your video. What would you recommend in my case? Is there a smaller, non headlight-plug version of the canceller?

Thanks so much for the video! I just installed an HID 9012 kit into my 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with the relay wire harness. My relay buzzes when I turn the car on with the headlights on ( when the car is off and the headlights are on it doesn't).My daytime running lights also dim when I put the headlights on. I have two capacitors but they are much smaller than the ones you used and I dont know where they go inline with everything...Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated

Hi Paul, i have a ford custom van 2016, i have fitted LED bulbs i have no issues, i am now trying to add a LED light bar to the front of the van it is all working ok, but when i pick the switch feed up from the high beam i get the buzzing how can i fix this, is it the same problem

Hello i need some help i have some 9004 hids they are basic slim balls plug and play (cheap kind) ive used then before on other vehicles like 9006 and had no problems for years now this set up is a little flickery. And sometimes when I turn on it tweeks with my cluster making it irratic. I was told I need to wire up a relay how do i accomplish this also when I select high beams lights cut out

I have a 2015 Hyundai Veloster and I installed LED low beams with resistor that came with it. Not even a week yet and my passenger side bulb started flickering. I used to have relays before and it helped for like almost 7 months. Should I use relays again and also use a capacitor with it? If so what type of spec capacitor should I use?

Do you know how to wire in the fog lights on a civic so that they will cut off with the high beams so I can pass SI on the state of VA? I have a after market fog light kit and hid bulbs in the fogs on there own circuit separate from the low beams , thanks for any help you can provide

my relay was buzzing when I installed it, but after a few minutes of sitting with the car on the buzzing stopped.

Will this work with DRL on the low beams? No issues? I did read the description... just want to confirm is OK to use :D.

Purchased : the Spyder® - Black Halo Projector Headlights with Amber Reflectors Vehicle : 2002 Honda Civic LX Problem : Hid lights flicker for a second like there going to come on, but don't project any light....Also while there trying to flicker on for that one second after I'll switch the headlights on there's this buzzing sound for that one second too. It's sounds like it's coming from the ballasts. Can you help me. .????? ....... I've looked around the tube but your vid is the closest to my problem.

I apologize the model I had installed was the : Spec-D® - Black Halo Projector Headlights with LEDs B.T.W....... I had the hid placed in the main head light, I'm using my brights at the moment to light my drive. My brights are unfortunately standard. Plan on changing them out as soon as I can navigate this issue. . ..can you please help

If a relay buzzes does that indicate a bad relay aswell? Would this work in line with a fan setup since pwm is involved?

Hi there! Buzzing doesn't automatically mean the relay is bad. The buzzing may simply indicate the need for a warning canceller.

I have a 2013 Tahoe and I switched back to the OG headlight housings it came with but I put new bright LED bulbs in them and now they both make these weird noises until they go off. Any help???

If they are our LED headlight bulbs, they do have an active fan that will have a slight hum to them , this is totally normal, as it's just the fan cooling the light!

I have ballasts with built in cancellers, I don't have any flicker issues at all and the buzzing only happens when the vehicle is on. Does this mean the relay needs a canceller for itself aside from the bulbs?

If you are using a relay harness with your HID kit, you will use one warning canceller, in line with the signal wire of the harness. Have a 2019 nissan altima and the left side headlight makes that noise. Left side got into a wreck and body shop fixed the car and just started making the noise. Can u help?

When I use the high beams on my HIDs I hear a buzzing sound just before my low beams turn off. What could be the case here? Will a canceller fix this?

We would recommend locating the relay for your HID bulbs and having someone turn off the low beams. If the relay buzzes, then a DRL Warning Canceller should work. Hey mate I have Toyota sai hybrid the issue is in the beginning low beams were flickering and then I changed the bulbs was ok for few months then I noticed after few months as I on the hid lights it flicks just for 2 sec and goes back to normal

Hello John - if you have factory HID, you may have a bad bulb or ballast. With that setup, there will not be a warning canceler you can install - sorry!

i have some hids an the problem is that when the cars running sometimes the light will flick but not turn off bottom to the same what could be the problem or how to fix it

Hi Paul i have a situation with my hids just randomly turning off at night, i'll go start the car and had to get my wife from work the other night and 2min into the drive they shut off both exacr same time. I turned the switch off & on they come back but go off again & i repeat what i did the first time, so sometimes they'll do this 3-4 times others 1 or 2 but then usually work fine! I checked the wiring nothing loose, had the battery checked its getting the 14.3v is supposed to do ruled out voltage issue i hope but still not sure what may causing this to happen. Only thing i can think of is the first ballast is bad & trips the 2nd since its in series with the first. As well i see on the Veloster you hooked up a relay for the hids my kit is plug n play, i had no idea about wiring in a relay as well. I have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra actually so would it be a good idea to wire in a relay? I have the anti flikr relay which is wired inine with my hid harness, I just have no idea how to hook up a relay to the hids especially when its all plug n play any diagrams or site you can direct me to do i may figure out how to wife this up.? . hi I have a 2014 Sorento and I'm having trouble with the relay buzzing.... now I've installed countless of hids on Honda's without any issues but for some reason my Sorento doesn't work..... if my car is off they light up no problem but if I turn my car on the relay freaks out even if I just plug the relay it's freaks out....... +Ryan Bock, it is very common for any LED installed in your turn signal housing to cause hyperblinking. LEDs draw less power than your factory bulb, so your vehicle thinks the bulb is out. To prevent hyperblinking, we recommend installing our Resistor Kit (link below). I have HID drivers side bulb that keeps blowing out after a week. Its a 2008 town and country. Need help can't keep spending 100 bucks a pop on these.

but that did not stop the noise with the relay mine does the same thing but it stops for like a second and then comes back on making that same noise can you be stopped or fixed

I have a 2008 Dodge Charger. I have not done any headlight work at all. My relay just suddenly started this buzzing. Always buzzes on low beans and sometimes buzzes on high beams. Will this fix my issue maybe? Do u have a link where I can purchase one?

Also it only does it with car running and lights function perfectly. Do not flicker at all. Relay Just buzzes very loudly and vibrates.... thanks

My factory DRL relay is buzzing after S1 LED install. It stops when lights are set to on, just DRL or auto function and truck in any gear other than park. 2021 Chevy 2500.

Most Hondas do not need a warning canceller, but if you do start to experience buzzing or flickering one of ours should stop it. Thanks!

You dont need a cancellor, all you need is the relay harness too stop the flickering on any Dodge Avenger im running 10k HIDs with no Flicker problems because of the Relay

I installed the capacitor and only one light would work with the capacitor the other remain off until I remove the capacitor n connect it the way it should

I have a 08 tbss that i just put the sunwolf hid kit 10k 55w ballast. I do have the wiring harness installed as well due to both lights flickered. I then added the error warning canceller and it seemed to fix the flicker on the driver side. The pasanger light on the other hand remains flickering even though its pulling power directly from battery. All my grounds are snug and tight. Do i have a ballast issue or possibly hid light may be bad. I dont want to keep buying parts id like to get some professional advice. Thanks and do appreciate any feedback

+PABLORL1989, we aren't familiar with that product, but you could try swapping the ballasts from one side to the other to see if it is possibly a problem with an individual component. This should help isolate where the problem is coming from.

I have a 2007 Lexus Is250 and my driver side is starting to flicker once in awhile, its bone stock with a new battery. Anybody have a clue what's wrong? No buzzing, all factory HID & fogs. Thanks 😠

+Marcus Mizerak Some vehicle manufacturers are using alternating current on new cars to extend the lifetime of halogen bulbs. This is also often the case on DRLs, to achieve a lower brightness during the day. Specifically, this is called Pulse Width Modulation. HID conversion kits require continuous current to operate correctly. If HIDs are installed onto a DRL circuit, the lights will flicker very quickly when the vehicle is turned on. If you have a relay, it will buzz loudly. Our Warning Canceller Module can help. To fix DRL flickering, you will need one module for each side. If you have any other questions, just let us know!

i never had a flicker problem till these cheap ass ebay bulbs. 02 altima with oem xexon lights. tried the ebay bulbs and light is scattered and hortizontally wrong.

It has worked just fine without a relay but I would rather have the power being drawn from battery but like I said it doesn’t work correctly. Does it really matter if I install relay?

Trevor, our warning canceler is waterproof, and should be mounted anywhere in the engine compartment. In the past, most people have been able to tuck it out of the way without any issue at all. Hope that helps. Thanks!

So I accidently plugged the canceler into the part where the hid comes out, now my light wont come on...

S2DaM 00 Did they work fine after removing the relay harness? I heard they won't last long without relay harness.

I have a 2010 Chrysler 300S and i bought 55w 3000k hid kit with a relay kit, it worked without the canceler but then stopped working i bought your warning canceler and installed in accordance with your video here and it exploded in my face... wtf? i have a picture as well of it being exploded.

Justin Evans, if you install our warning canceler backwards, there can be some initial "popping", which is probably what happened while installing your canceler. Another canceler installed with the correct polarity should fix everything. I have LED lights with the cancellers attached & they are still noisy & vibrating. Took that shit off & put the stocks back on.
